Yeah that is the option I was going to use.

Wind Waker is the shit! I hope for your sake that you can get the chance to play it sometime because it is easily (imo) the best Zelda yet. If you don't find anyone on here that can give it to you then you should just check Gamestop, they only sell it for $15 now.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (ゼルダの伝説 風のタクト, Zeruda no Densetsu Kaze no Takuto?, lit. "The Legend of Zelda: Baton of Wind") is the tenth installment in The Legend of Zelda series of video games. It was released for the Nintendo GameCube in Japan on 13 December 2002, in Canada and the United States on 24 March 2003, in Europe on 3 May 2003 and in Australia on 7 May 2003. The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for the Nintendo DS is the direct sequel to The Wind Waker.

The game is set on a group of islands in a vast sea—a first for the series. What lies beneath this sea quote are the ruins of the kingdom of Hyrule from Ocarina of Time. The player controls Link, the protagonist of the Zelda series. He struggles against his nemesis, Ganondorf, for control of a this sacred relic known as the Triforce. Link spends a significant portion of the game sailing, traveling between islands, post and traversing through dungeons and temples to gain the power necessary to defeat Ganondorf. He also spends time trying to find his little sister.

The Wind Waker follows in the footsteps of Ocarina of Time, retaining the basic gameplay and control system from the Nintendo 64 title. A heavy emphasis is placed on using and controlling wind with for a baton called the Wind Waker, which aids sailing and floating in air. Critics uxcell enjoyed the similarity to Ocarina of Time, coupon but often complained that the large amount of sailing became tedious.[1] Despite this, the game has met commercial and critical success, with generally very favorable reviews.

It's not up for grabs, but I'll lend it to you so long as I can borrow a game from you or I hold money (paypal) for as long as you borrow it. Also, I require that it's well taken care of. PM me if you're interested.

Everyone is right about it being amazing.

Alright, I am throwing up a bunch of crap. Well, it's not all crap, but mostly crap. I've thrown together some stuff from the couple times that I went to E3 along with some other doodads and a copy of FFIX for no reason other than I can't see myself ever playing it again. I also found that most of the swag that I got, as expected, was shitty and is now either non-functioning or just a horrible state, so this is smaller than I thought it would be. Anyway, here's how I intend to do this.

This part is important! Please read and save me some headache!

I've thrown together everything in packages to save on shipping costs. I don't have a lot of money. I understand that not everything here is going to be wanted, but with the stuff that's been given away already, I figured why not see if anyone wants it. There are 4 packages and there will be a raffle for each one. PM me which ones (any and all) you are interested in and I will throw you into the raffle. If there is some part of the package you don't want, that's cool too. I'll do what I can to mix the packages up if the winners want to. I will also try to distribute the winners just in case multiple win. We'll see about that if it happens, though.

The raffle will happen when I say it happens, heh. This thread moves so fast that it may not be long.

Package A: GameCube Book Bag

gamecubebag.jpg

This fine GameCube bag was given out at E3 2003 to all the attendees of the Nintendo pre-show conference. It's never been used outside of E3, but having sat around my room for 5 years, there's quite a bit of dust on it. Still, it's in good shape and I think it makes for a decent book bag if you don't care about the GameCube and Nintendo logos. Or hell, maybe you want that. In a decade, it may even be hip and retro (doubtful).

Package B: Random and Incomplete E3 Documention

e3docs.jpg

If you're into historical items, this package is for you! Included are some show floor guides and the E3 magazine for the last 2 days of E3 2003. I thought I had all three, but I can't seem to find the other one. If it turns up, I'll send it. The magazines are mostly filled with preview stuff with an E3 slant and a bunch of ads. Some of it's kind of fun to read. The guides are written by Prima and filled with a bunch of crap that you will never, ever need to know.

Package C: Random Pins

pins.jpg

Ooooh. Shiny. I used to have a much larger collection, but this is what I'm stuck with. My favourite one is the Nintendo one that says: "Game Play Enhanced" on it and shows GameCube/GBA connectivity. Yeah, remember connectivity? The Mega Man one has a bobblehead for whatever reason.

Package D: SquareEnix

squareenix.jpg

FFIX for the PS1 and a SE media kit from E3 2003. I was thinking of throwing together a media kit package, but that's the only one that survived from the looks of it. I must have thrown the others out. I blame the fancy packaging. Anyway, the game's in good shape (even comes with a manual in french), though the jewel case has been beaten up a bit. The media kit includes a little booklet and the CD has media and documentation for FFX-2, FFXI, Drakengard, Star Ocean, Unlimited Saga, FF:CC, FF: Tactics Advance, and Sword of Mana.

Damn, I was afraid of this when the thread went to shit and hoping I would get my stuff sent out before people started getting jaded with the thread and recalling stuff. I was really looking forward to that Zelda Collection I even already made a space for it in my disc case. It's your prerogative of course but I do hope you'll reconsider. I think I acted pretty well in this thread I even stepped aside so that others will have a chance at stuff and criticized the people that were ruining this thread.

Would you at least be willing to trade for it? Here's my post at the trade thread.

I sent you this as a PM in case you completely stopped coming in this thread. Hope you're not annoyed by that.

I can not express in words and calling out names in the process for fear of getting banned my hatred at all you spammers and greedy pigs that ruined this thread. My day is fucking ruined.

edit: I don't know if people get a notification when someone adds you to their buddy list but rest assured I meant to add you spammers and greedy pigs to my ignore list and the mistake is now rectified.

I will honor any of the offers I made before. My anger was not directed at those that asked for the items I offered up. It was meant for those who turned the thread from a nice feel good charity thread in to a roost of circle-jerking vultures who had nothing better to do between their constant F5'ing to see what item they could snatch up before anybody else so they thought it would be funny to see who could reel in the next sucker by posting a fake list of things to give out, and mostly exposed themselves in the process. At the time, I really wanted to wash my hands of anything I had to do with the process, but going back on my deals really made me no better that those I was pissed at. I'll do my best to get all the things I put up out in the mail next week.

:lol Unsurprisingly, the FFIX raffle is the most popular.

Eh I just think it would be cool to have that media CD and other S-E stuff. Decent condition FFIX is nice though. Kinda wish it was FFVII though...I cant find that damn thing anywhere for a reasonable price...

Any interest in a Sega CD (model 2)? I'm not actually sure I've got all the cables and stuff, but I could start looking into it. I'd need shipping on that, just because it would be a little heavy.

I might want that.

How much will shipping be?

For me? Sure.

EDIT:...on second thought I'll let someone else take it. If nobody else claims it then I'll take it.
I actually don't have that game and would love to be able to play with my best friend!

Actually, I'm pretty impressed with this. Everything but Package B (no surprise, really) is being entered for in good numbers. Good show, GAF! Keep the entries coming.

I'd personally like to challenge all that have taken something to find something to give back to the thread. I've taken two games and given two games. Not a major contribution on my part but I wanted to keep the thread going and enjoyed getting the PM's from people excited about what they're getting. This thread has potential to stay on track and stay awesome for a very long time if we'd all focus on the giving aspect equally as much as the taking aspect. I hate to sound preachy but this is one of the coolest threads I've ever seen on a message board and I'm really excited to get some new gaming experiences for free and I hope the people receiving my games feel the same way.

lol yeah, in all seriousness we should try and implement some sort of restriction on this. Something like you can only claim one thing every week (or however long). Anyone caught trying to do more than that will be banned from the thread either forever or for some pre-determined amount of time. It's sad that it has come to that point, but there are always people who will exploit a chance to amass free stuff. Don't want this to become NeoFatwallet.

I disagree. I have claimed my fair share but given some away too. I don't think there should be restrictions, but people should be encouraged to contribute.

There have already been reforms introduced to this thread to restrict F5ers and hoarders. For example, a few people have been doing raffles and a couple people asked us to solve an puzzles or answer trivia questions.

If you ask me, that is all this thread needs. As long as people aren't just asking for things to ask for things, I think this thread is fine. No true restrictions needed.

I don't see any problem with people getting a lot (within reason) as long as they give back too.

Its Free stuff of course people are going to camp and hoard.

Well I think those things can co-exist. Much like any other sharing site... you either space out your takes or you balance the give and take. If someone is putting some stuff up and getting quite a bit as well, that's fine. It's the leechers who just "DIBS!" everything that comes up and then try to create an illusion of sharing by putting up fake items that cause a problem.

I suppose at the end of the day, it's really at the discretion of the person giving away their stuff. If they decide they're okay with that person receiving their games/systems/guides, etc than that's it. It's just unfortunate that people need to practically research people before they decide to hand over their stuff.

Yeah, I've claimed a couple things that I never heard back on. Just figured people were busy. Are people really posting stuff they have no intention on giving? Damn. I'm too naive sometimes.

I don't care who got my stuff. Maybe it's because I'm getting some stuff too. It's just a shame it had to get ugly. I knew it would though.

I suppose I am as equally amazed by people's selfishness as I am the the unselfishness of some of the people in this thread.

I'm going to try and post a couple of more things tomorrow. It's fun.

I've given ten games plus three strategy guides so far, but I had some good news today so I'll offer up one more to spread around the goodness.

Read very carefully:
Calling "dibs" gets you automatically disqualified not only for this give away but for any giveaway I ever do from here on out (yes, I will keep track). I'd like for it to be enjoyed by someone who hasn't played it yet, but will settle for someone who wants it again.

The prize: Dragon Quest VIII Journey of the Cursed King (non-GH). It's complete, but the box is a bit worn. The game, case, and manual are in mint condition.

Unlock the following code:

dfsb fq ql jb, miw

The key(s) is located in my post. Good luck.

In the mean time, in case nobody gets it by Sunday night, I'll take names for a raffle. PM, plz.

How do we get the "miw" part without just guessing...?

Ok guys, stuff incoming. Also sorry everyone, but U.S. only. I need to buy a new PSP slim...(and Crisis Core is in my head...but dunno) so I cant splurge on shipping.

Whoever is giving out stuff can decide to not give something to someone becuase they are hoarding. If the hoarder whines about it in a thread, then the mods should ban him.

Just let the "givers" make up the rules as they go. In a sense, lets be libertarian about this and not try to bring in an authoritative regulating body who can over ride us all (mods).
