Dumbass collector tendencies account for most of it, but now I'm taking a good hard look at the junk collecting dust on my shelf and cutting it down to games I will continue to play and enjoy. Realistically, I'll never go back to many of the Gamecube, Xbox, and Dreamcast games I've hung onto. I also don't really need a copy of Lost Planet and Lost Planet Colonies, for example. Other times I'm just a sucker for good sales and clearance bins. Banjo for $10? Sold. Wait, I already own that game. I don't sell things on eBay, so it was silly for me to buy 10 copies of VF4:E at a buck a piece if they were just going to sit there. I'd rather have these games bring other people some enjoyment rather than rot on my shelf.

Same here, man. I'm a huge sucker for clearance bins. I've got several games that I snagged for < $10 under the excuse that I'd play them eventually and the price was right. Nine times out of ten, I never actually play them; I've still got a sealed copy of FFXII (non-greatest hits) for shits' sake; a game that a lot of fans revere, and that takes place in the Tactics universe. Why is that relevant? I fucking LOVED Tactics.

I've got a few games kicking around that I'm debating ebay'ing because I've put them up in the buy/trade/sell thread and had no bites, but I'm also weary of giving them away and that person turning around and selling them. I dunno.
