I really want both the Astraea and the Zeta 006-3, but the current online prices for both are more than I'm really willing to pay for a real grade.

It does my heart good to see the recent ZZ love.

Thanks for the send off everyone, I may not like 0079 but still and Amuro salute made me smile.

Not much on the Gundam build front....I've been sick like crazy for the last few days so I avoided dedicated work like RG Rouge, but I have been doing a quick dirty build of Graza And I'll post up pics later.

Gotton went from comic relief to serious threat in like two or less episodes. It was very sudden, like the mood change in the show itself

Looks great Jaded, the lining can make it stand out better, but for a straight build the Revive Gundam is a beaut.

Started Kill La Kill....my goddess the art is so damn hideous.

Gunna get more eps deep before I post full impressions.

This was such a fun first build. I can't wait to do my next one. MKII Titans colors. KLK is um special.

Ill be posting pics of the Strike Rouge, Wing EW and Graza tomorrow so everyone can see where I'm at. I totally screwed up on the decals on Part of Wing EW.

Up to Eps 4 of KLK - Satsuki is FUCKING AMAZING. Teacher (you know the one) is amazingly FABULOUS.

Every thing else is dog shit, and I find both Mako and Ryoku to be utterly horrid, the only thing going to pull me through is Satsuki.

Satsuki is life Satuski is love, my favorite character. Nipplesugi is hilarious. I hope you're watching it subbed cause that the best way to get your Satuski infusion.

Seriously though some of those are cool, and while I hate GaoGaiGar it's easily the most impressive of the pics.

More KLK down.....Subs all the way.....desperately needs more Satsuki.

Not super far into G-Reco, but I'm enjoying it so far. I like the character designs and mech designs. They are very unique for Gundam and stand out. I'm having some trouble wrapping my head around the current politics of the world and some character motivations. It took me awhile to figure out that Bellri is mainly piloting G-Self and helping the pirates because he feels guilty for killing Aida's mentor. I'm really liking Bellri. He reminds me of Judau with the added benefit of not being surrounded by insufferable assholes. In general people feel more happy and willing to smile in G-Reco than in other Gundam shows, which is nice.

I like Gundam Planet cause at the very least it's closer and a one stop shop. Amazon has people from all over the place. I'm not even sure if the gunpla on there is even in this county.

Just finished building the 1/100 Schwalbe Graze and the 1/100 Gundam Barbatos.
They both look great, capture the look of these suits, and were fun builds.
Sadly, both have some issues that are kind of hard to ignore.

The Barbatos has some really pathetic color separation. I planned to paint both of these kits, so it's not too much of a hassle, but it's silly that Bandai couldn't get the colors where they needed to be with the main mobile suit.

The Graze's leg armor is unstable as hell and will fall off if you look at it too hard. Also, due to its feet, he loves to take dives from my shelf. I'll be picking up a stand for him ASAP.

On the plus side, they do bring a bit of life to my Master Grade shelf.
Still, if you're considering these kits, get some Tamiya cement, some paint, and a stand for the Graze.

Thanks will look into it! Also bought some gundam markers for panel lining. Somewhat terrified by the prospect of painting/advanced detailing like rust or metal scraping but thats my net goal.

Though I might want to invest in a cheap HG rather than try it out first on my tallgeese...

Is panel lining something I should be doing? It does look pretty great. Looking at the Gundam brand markers I am not sure if these things are meant to be used to basically 'paint' or for more detail like this. They look like paint markers, which might be a bit tough to control for lining.

What you're looking for a gundam pen, not a marker. Of course any good drawing pen can do, as long as it's thin enough. You can also look into doing a thin paint wash. Some paint bottles even come ready to be used that way.

for the pen a dab of 70% isopropyl alcohol you find at any store works.

for the brush style markers i just use my thumb, lol
it's so easy. that's why i highly recommend it. it won't work in wide spaces but perfect for panel lines.

Would probably help if I don't rush it the next time. Still have to do a couple of other spots like the head and probably the inner shield.

Come on we know the G Self will some time too :)

That said I really wish leads would slow the whole iteration nonsense.

It's cool in show but most Gundam will not end up EXia popular so it just causes it to be questioned as far as models go the second you go past HG.

I might not ever buy an exia, but I would buy an MG Kyrios. Where's my master grade Kyrios bandai? You probably just need to adapt a zeta frame or some shit.
