i didn't look but i'm pretty sure there'd be a review on youtube comparing it to the original hg freedom
Freedom Revive has alot of positive buzz.
It stayed Freedom where as 2.0 is changing the design like an RG would (unless your OO) and it's the big ? I'll get it but I have serious issues with it.

It's not my favorite, I'd prefer like an Aegis or Justice revive, but I figured I'd do a couple more of these revive suits before I do an MG.

Not currently but I have Faith we will get Ultra 78 Magnus in MG in the future.
Didn't Bandai announce a MG Thunderbolt line along with the ONA production? I'm 90% sure that happened. They didn't show anything, but I remember them saying it was in the works. If that's true, I expect to see the fruits of that pop up soon.
Maybe? I was thinking so, but with the focus on HGS I don't know if that's changed or they are just milking with these recolors.

I actually really liked the old TB box arts, but I'm interested in seeing what the rest of the lot looks like. That said, not particularly interested in these re-releases. Maybe we'll finally get that TB Gouf.
If they make MGs, I'll have to build a new shelf for the Psycho Zaku.

Why does it seem like these things transform way better than the Zeta Gundam RG?

a million times better =) it's probably bc the designer of the VF-0 is a huge aviation fan while gundam was designed to be a bot first. btw, the guy who designed the VF-0 also designed the suits GP-01 and GP-02a from 0083

double edit: shoot, i can't read today, which stand do you own? is it the yamato mighty block? depending on the stand there may be a guy who makes custom adapters.
for a while Arcadia offered this stand separately that you can plug in the adaptors

it came bundled with the arcadia vf-1s reissues but they're all sold out.
there's a guy that makes custom stands on Macross World that's amazing but pricey about 50 depending on the attachments. he's just a normal member but has skills so he made stands for everyone.
The stand I have is the old Yamato claw-type (shaped like the Valkyrie launchers from DYRL) with its stepped connector. Looks like the compatible clear Arcadia one for the VF-0S went out-of-stock pretty fast so no wonder I missed it! So I'll have to wait for a restock, or spring for a compatible YetiStand offering.

ok, i asked on the thread if there's any custom adapters for the launch arm. i will pm him personally later tonight if no one responds.
Thanks a lot for your help! At least Arcadia's new VF-0S is sturdy enough not to flex in the middle when sitting on its tires (unlike Yamato's old one), but it'd be even better to have a nice stand under it.

i've been stuck w the retro monitor on my table so i've been busy tinkering and getting the right cables etc.

My sister is yelling at me to watch the new season of Faking It.
I can only take the lesbian getting her heart broken and stomped on so much so I'm dodoing right now.
I'm in the middle of G-Reco right now. A few episodes before the half way point. I'm enjoying it enough so far. It has good designs all around and I like Bellri and Aida as characters. After G-Reco I'll have finished all the mainline Gundam shows. I think I'll either go back and watch 0079 or maybe whatever Macross I should watch after the original series.

i have victory bookmarked but can't start it up. after ZZ i felt the force watching of the first half took a lot out of my motivation to do the same for victory.

I've been stabbing my brain for the last couple of months watching Naruto. Once I'm done with that I'll get back to Gundam. I do need to finish Build Fighters Try and start G-Reco. Maybe afterwards watch passed the first ep of IBO.
Lucky for you Victory is consistently fucked tonally. Way more serious than ZZ.

which Macross series are you thinking after the original, i'd watch macross plus,
macross 7 is like ZZ it has to grow on you but gets good in the end. but the beginning is like huh???
ok, i'll try at least getting 5 episodes in, i only got through half of one and stopped.
That reminds me I should probably get back to IBO at some point, but there was one arc that was such a dull slog that I finally gave up on it.
But now that the Universal Century is arriving on BD, I might do a MSG -> Z -> ZZ -> CCA -> Unicorn run instead. Though I'll likely hold off until I know when the other half of ZZ is supposed to ship to avoid running out of episodes before it arrives.
I'm not concerned about trying to fit my VF-0S on the old Yamato stand, so I'll just grab a new stand from their site with the appropriate adapters and go with that instead.

What's your tolerance for fan service? Just watch it for Satsuki.
I think once you make it to the mid point it just gets crazy, it's really a show I need to find the time to rewatch. I've only seen it all the way through once, but it made an impact.
It's SOOOOOOOOO awful. It's aware of it though.
Satsuki is worth it, but Mako makes me want to kill baby birds I hate her so much.

i'm not big into fan service bc then i can't watch it in a public space or on break while at work. if i didn't have to interact w anyone i wouldn't care. lol
Victory is sounding good enough to at least give it a run this week.

Probably continue past the first episode of SEED soon. Just it and Destiny and I should be finished with all the major series.
Not sure. I was planning on just going in production order. Currently I've just watched the original show and Do You Remember Love. I loved both.
I have no idea how I got through KLK. Fan service is typically the fastest way to get me to drop a show. I think I managed to get through it since I was watching it with a group and the presentation was great.

Finally got one half of Zeta. Nice to move from old tapes recorded off of Japanese television, to tapes recorded off of Laserdisc, to this. I've seen rips of this before so I knew what to expect in terms of quality but it is nice to finally own it.
Speaking of Zeta, I have been watching the movies with a friend and we finished the second movie.
Four's... exit was really odd as fuck in the movie so I decided to look up what the movies skipped over. And holy fuck, the movies skipped over way more than I was expecting.
I'm tempted right now to just drop money on getting both Blu-Ray sets at this point.
