Well, I've made more progress with my Sandrock. I've built his right arm and the shoulder pad of his left arm, and I've tried my hand at panel lining everything that I've made so far.

It's finicky to say the least, especially with the face. Some of the paint from the marker went under those sort of flap things on it's helmet that covers the cheeks which I couldn't get at to rub it off, but other than that I think it went alright.

If I want to pose Sandrock with the twin Shotels is there anywhere I can attach the shield? All poses I've seen of it either have it with the machine gun and shield in either hand with the shotels on it's backpack, or holding the shotels with the machine gun on it's lower back.

From what I remember you should be able to use the Shotels with the shield equiped.

Even with the limited hand movement due to the swappable it shouldn't be and issue as Rock's shield doesn't cover the actual hand.

While Zeta is a great series in its own right, a lot of plot points depend on the world building done by the original series, and a lot of characters return from the original show. I think at the very least you should watch the 3 0079 movies before Zeta.

Ahh ok, will try to track down the original series before I watch Zeta then, I know Madman did have a boxset for it down here so should be too hard to get on eBay

Maybe going to throw some gunpla on my desk too, just because everyone else has random merchandise from things they like on their desks too. The mountain of Winny the Pooh crap I have to look at from my co-worker will finally be combated.

Yup we just got these books last week and it's the first thing we all commented on lol. The art is WAY better but man the tan anime girl is totally my waifu.

Best part about these books (aside from terrible English lessons) is that their is a running lore in them when they get replaced every 4 years. It's real name is called New Horizon, but the teachers here nickname it Dark Horizon as a fake side book lol. Some of the character relations is a bit iffy everytime a new set comes out. Apperently one character started out as a English teacher from somewhere, then went on to marry the girl who was his junior highschool student soon as she graduated highschool in the next set, big no no irl lol. Now we have racially ambiguous tan anime girl who I claimed as waifu. It's kinda great and scary lol.

Hilarious stuff when you link it all together. Would be a hell of a manga/anime.

Finally got my Graze Ein put together. It's a biggun. Uses some parts from the standard 1/144 Graze frame with Ein specific frame parts to make it bigger. Nearly as tall as the 1/100 Graze.

Finished my CCA re-watch. Keep in mind I've watched this movie like 10 times, though it's been about a year or so since my last watch.

UC 0093 is AWESOME. Couple of thoughts

Londo Bell rocks: Best hero faction. Cool name. Cool insignia. The Ra Cailum is a sexy ship, and Bright is based as hell here.

Quess sucks... but it's intentional: Her last name IS Pariah, after all. Everyone talks about how annoying she is throughout the movie, for christ sakes. And no, Char was not into her. He makes it quite clear he is using her abilities.

Char vs Amuro: Once Quess gets killed off, this movie becomes amazing. The final show down between Amuro and Char starts off technique based and then devolves into an all out brawl between the two, as both men become more enraged and start just whaling on each other, ending with Amuro defeating Char. I also love the fact that their battle isn't just about who is the better pilot, but also about their ideology. I also love that that argument ISN'T decisively concluded. That their argument ends with Char saying some bullshit nonsense that causes Amuro to respond with "wait...what?" and then they both die is THE best thing about this movie IMHO. I can't even begin to explain why I love that so much, but it's a franchise high moment for me.

This movie's soundtrack is awesome. The main motif is fantastic. Beyond the Time is a classic, and all the incidental music is god tier.

Definitely. It wasn't too bad at first, 2 episodes a year. Then it was 10 months between 5 and 6, and a year and 3 months between 6 and 7. 6 ended on a brutal cliffhanger, too.

"Zeon" is a loaded term imho. Don't get me wrong, I'm a zeke fanboy, but my first reaction when finding out some one is affiliated with a Zein movement is not to label them as "the good guys".

Movie 3 has some pretty cool stuff in it, IMHO. Plus Ai Senshi and Meguriai are pretty neat.

I prefer the TV series, but the movie trilogy is pretty cool too though

It's largely reusing the old footage in the first and second films. Some plot points are changed/removed for the sake of runtime (Some important, some not) and the super robot stuff is replaced (Farewell, Gundam Hammer; Hello, Core Booster). The third movie is where it gets interesting; the battles of Solomon and Ao Baoa Qu have some brand new animation.

If you want to watch them, they're absolutely fine. I would suggest watching the actual series first, and use the compilation movies as a sort of recap.

The biggest change is that they ditch the Guntank for a second Guncannon, so Guntank no longer gets to help in the fight.

I've finished building my Sandrock EW MG, and I've also panel lined it. I've not built the accessories yet, and I've started on the 6 million stickers that come with it yet.

I'm definitely happy with how it's turned out, and it was fun to put together. I only had one real 'problem', which was one of the holes that a piece snaps into on the skirt hadn't been cut out properly, but everything else was fine.

I'll probably get one more of them, either a Zaku II or Char's Zaku.

But I was walking around looking for card protectors for my gundam cards that just came and low and freaking behold, there was a random MG Infinite Justice on the shelf. I was super tempted since that is what I was looking for originally before I got the Aegis. Decided to leave it though until I finish my freaking Aegis.

That and it was full price which was odd, like 700yen more than the other place (yeah I'm that cheap.) Gonna Amazon it if I still am in a red mobile suit mode after.

Both Build Fighters and Try had OVA projects announced about a year ago, but I don't recall any news about them since. Presumably they're still works-in-progress.

I'm kinda dreading putting the stickers on it, but luckily I have an excuse to leave it for a few days in the form of Dark Souls III.

I can see why people build/collect these as a hobby; it's certainly more fun to have something that you actually spend time working on putting together, rather than collecting something like amiibo for example (although I do like those) in my opinion.

Btw, Gundam Thunderbolt ended exactly where I expected it to end. 3 volumes exactly. Adapting it all into about an hour was definitely an impressive feat, even if it meant they cut out some scenes I was really fond of in the manga. Now to wait for them to announce the BD release...
