Digimon?!

I know what a Pokemon is. I just thought that them crossed with mobile suits looked like Mega form Digimon.

Am I supposed to be agreeing with Athrun? He's giving Shinn a lot of shit for saving people.

Yes. The Minerva's in combat operations, under attack by an enemy from an unknown source to boot. His priorities as a soldier are defending the ship and following the direction of his superior officer. Athrun had specifically been given command of the Minerva's mobile suit team (aside from his rank already giving him the right to issue commands on the field as he sees fit). Rather than report the situation to his commander and request permission to aid the fleeing workers, Shinn decided by himself freeing the workers was the best decision and then proceeded to ignore his commanding officer's orders to stop.

The foremost lesson here is that Shinn broke the chain of command. This was actually a plot point in the original SEED too when Kira turned over Lacus to the Vesalius. Murrue noted that a general court martial and execution would be a standard punishment under Alliance military law but Kira got off p. much scot-free in part because he wasn't a soldier and in part they needed him and he'd been generally reliable up to that point. Shinn had no such excuse. He's supposed to be a professional soldier but he defied direct orders, after a warning too that he was straying too far from the ship, and he was totally unrepentant for his actions or realize really that he'd done something wrong. A slap in the face is about the lightest punishment he could ask for.

Lol oh lord pbandai parts announced for both the mg full armor gundam Kai and the new rg(the one we all want)

Effect parts here we come

Extra stuff for RG Sinanju will probably be one of two things:

1. The bazooka
2. Neo Zeong with RG decals, like they've done for the METEOR (for RG Freedom/Justice) and GN Arms Type-E (for RG Exia).

kinda rare for an RG to get effect parts

It doesn't happen every time, but it's far from the first time. Most of the RG releases don't have any that can be done. Both Strike Freedom and Destiny got them. Bandai never misses an opportunity to upset. The RG line just hasn't had much.

Fully expect a RG Quant effect set down the line.

I can accept this explanation. Shinn blatantly disrespects chain of command so often I guess I forgot he is technically under Athrun and is supposed to be a legitimate soldier.

I for one think seeing Shinn getting executed by a military firing squad would've made the show immensely better.

Tempted to preorder some of these gundams but paying for something 2-3 months away seems like a bad idea especially when they are not pbandai exclusive

I don't know, I guess I haven't gotten to the point where Shinn takes a nosedive as a character yet? I mean, he's mad as fuck a lot, sometimes for petty reasons, but that's just makes him another moody Gundam MC. Him breaking military conventions a lot (just reached the episode where
he returns Stella to the Earth Forces
) is an issue, but hasn't really done anything overly offensive in that regard.

I'm more surprised by how much I'm disliking the original SEED crew's stupid decisions, like intervening in a battle after it didn't work the first time and seemingly refusing to even attempt anything with Orb diplomatically, despite Cagalli still having a ton of clout. It was pretty satisfying watching Shinn rip apart Orb forces while she was crying over her making stupid decisions.

Him
giving back Stella has some serious consequences later on though
. That isn't just some freebie shit.

Smells like fresh rosebuds
SEED faces make me angry.

I bought Zeta BDs today. I'll never get tired of this show. I wish the original music wasn't in licensing hell. I would totally triple dip for the original music.

Been in a sci-fight mood lately, and wanted to get into Gundam again. Howdy.

Did IBO ended up well? I wasn't finished with the subs, but now I'm waiting on the dub.

Rg wing ew how is the quality on this
Amazing really.

Build is sturdy as fuck for an RG and almost no lose parts.

Great color separation and overall a much better release then Wing Zero EW because while the wings are huge it doesn't have nearly the weight issues.

Might pick it up if my B&n still has it

Well he must be playing the LONG con.

We had this same reaction to his thoughts on Age and how it has "good" female characters.

It's just that he's everywhere and very hard to ignore. Recently in the MHA thread he said the obvious asshole rival, who's origin we just saw, was just misunderstood. I don't like talking with joke posters but that blew my mind and i felt I had to ask him how the hell he came up with that conclusion based on what we saw. He never responded.

It seems it was better than REG but I don't know. Isn't there also a second season coming? Don't want to jump in only for it to be another 00.

Hmm.

Yeah I got nothing on that one.

At this point I just roll with it because DTL is even more of an enigma then I can be and that is odd given my weird taste.

Then again I only see him here as I don't watch any anime currently (damn it Dynamic Pro give me my next season of Robot Girls Z) so maybe I just don't see how crazy it can be.

Re:0096 Episode 7

Today's episode featured one of my favorite moments from the franchise. I love
Banagher's newtype moment with Marida. Cool homage to ZZ. And also tells so much with so little.

I'm a sucker for Newtype transhumanism shot though. One of my favorite elements of UC.

Shinn and his not wifu irked me to no end. She was going to die either way, he was a tremendous moron thinking the guys who made her that way would do anything to help her, and last but certainly not least on the list of fuckery with the situation is the fact Kira shot above the cockpit.

Not to mention the fact she burned down/killed a metric fuck ton of innocent civilians in the lead up to that fight.

Geeze probably my most hated moment/episodes of Destiny was dealing with shinn's dumb ass lady issue.

Then you have him later on t
rying to kill Athrun cause he's trying to escape crazy ass scout master Durandal. Then Luna gets character assassinated cause she falls in love with the dumb ass that almost killed her sister.
Shinn's the worst, the absolute fucking worst.

My favorite thing about Shinn beating Kira is that later Kira explains to Athrun that he lost because, "He wasn't sure he should be fighting him." Jesus Yamato only lost because he wasn't paying attention.
