I'll have to check it out at some point, it's one of the only full shows I haven't seen. Need to rewatch Turn A and finish it though, missed the last 10 eps. Don't watch Age Ramyeon, just don't.

I think I watched AGE back when it aired. I have really vague memories of it, which says a lot about how I felt about it lol.

I saw like 1 1/2 eps of it and just went on to watch Macross Zero afterwards, it's horrible. I might watch it again, I make no promises though. Victory is a much better and more enjoyable show than Age.

Almost half way through Wing and probably what stands out to me most is how little Gundam action there is in this show. I was under the impression they went with 5 protagonists with 5 Gundams to sell models but it feels like ages since the Gundams have been relevant at all.

Yeah I think all of them are either destroyed or discarded at the moment. Thought they would have brought new models in quicker but they seem to finally be getting around to that (Episode 23).

At the very least they got upgrades for plot and not everybody got an upgrade.

up to episode 24 Turn A

the war plot is moving slowly (not in a negative way, imagine SEED being at Desert Tiger's home (which i enjoyed) but never left. i guess that's the feeling of the pace of the plot). the show is focusing more on character interactions than battles.

if you took away the title, i wouldn't even know this is a Gundam series. it honestly feels like a show w/ a princess mononoke setting and a few gundams.

i really don't know who to hate at this point. i'm still waiting for the evil mastermind...

I think the biggest problem is how OP the gundams felt. Nothing felt like a threat

That's kinda what I like about it. It's less about the pains of war like UC normally is and more about the consequences of your decisions when you have power. That having ultimate strength doesnt guarantee victory (plot armor does though). More political.

I enjoyed it more watching it again back in my college days.

they found some nukes. it feels like gundam with a bit more action. looks like they unearthed a white base type ship. i'm still looking for the manipulative villain. potentially Guin? Corin Nander, looks like he rides of into the sunset alive, i'm curious how he knows about old history to call it a Gundam since not much is known of the dark history

iv only recent started watching, but a certain Maskless Ferret has convinced me to say hello and ramble at you about what im thinking about these here robit anime's, so imma do just that.
so if you dont like it blame him.

i recent finished 79, and liked it way more than i was expecting to, the extreme age/poor quality made it just adorable to watch (who need a ruler to draw robots anyway?), and the core story was surprisingly profound, hit me way harder than i was expecting to, especially with its pretty fantastic climax.

then i really ducked up, so i didn't know that zeta or ZZ existed, so i just went straight into watching chars counterattack, woops.
i still really enjoyed it despite the jarring time-skip. but yeah, ass soon as i finished i looked it up and yeah, saw i had missed two whole anime's.

so now im watching zeta, so far im not quite enjoying it as much as 79, but there is still a lot to go, im only up to ep 19. kamile is.. interesting, he feels kinda weird as a character, fitting weirdly smoothly into the role of a soldier, but still managing to be kinda awkward about almost everything else. also right now the plot feels really aimless, like due to the opposing factions being far less clearly defined this time round (whereas earth and zion was a way more straightforward war between two ... nations? does space have nations?).

Amuro and Char are quickly becoming one of my favorite rivalry's in fiction.

Why does it have a fan base again? I guess if you like the "More Dakka" trope, but it's not really my thing. I'm pretty much on team Altron, Deathscythe, Tallgeese and Epyon for Wing suits.

Yeah...I call Zechs "Cliff Notes Char" for that exact reason. I still have fun with it though. Though looking at it for military accuracy has to be laughable.
