i wish it he wasn't so dumb to give Turn A to Guin

To be fair Gym is a guy who was living a fantasy so stupid things aren't out of the picture. I mean, he so wanted a sword fight at the end that he ended up politely asking Loran if he knew how to use a sword and when the answer was yes gave him one as if he was Meta-Knight from Kirby XD

do I need to pay for the preorder on the spot?

edit:says they charge when they are ready to ship. ooo

They also honor preorder price so you don't have to worry about it increasing or getting cancelled.

wonder how long it'll last
Sold out!

I hope everyone was able to secure a pre-order =)

how did loren even know how to use one? the first episode he had a stick and was scared of the wolf.
Fran-doll's man just punched him out of the cockpit.
all of a sudden he's Tom Cruise in Last Samurai.

I passed on it.

I got my blue astray metal build, voltron, and original power rangers chogokin all coming in around that time plus MG psycho zaku/mg gm 2 sniper.

going to be busy

Thanks for the heads up. It's $40 more than amiami, so I'm going to have to think for a minute. I hope it doesn't disappear in 5 seconds.

the only downside is the 20% upfront.

214.00 seems to be the retail price for US release which is about the same if you calculate overseas shipping from amiami. it's free shipping from anime island.

i think a few other US based places that won't require a deposit may open up if you want to mull it over a bit.

I'm sure I'm going to be kicking myself if I miss this. Decisions decisions...

Okay, got through 8th MS Team with my Dad. Overall he liked it, and refuses to compare it to Origins or Original Gundam so far, basically any of the mainline, because he feels the side stories and mainline are two different beasts (though, to be fair, he's only watched three Gundam series so far.)

He ended up liking Shiro by the end, and feels that Shiro's ending is a fair one. I did mention the call a few users have on here for Shiro to have received his court-martial (and execution I guess?) But felt that Shiro's superior, who'd been in charge of that final confrontation, basically committed war crimes, and that the circumstances justified Shiro deserting in the face of duty. We both agree though that the final episode, with Michel, is almost entirely unnecessary and I don't think he really thought much of it one way or the other.

Now it's onto MS Igloo, so it'll be interesting to see which side of the battlefield he falls in line with on here. :p

worth it to who every wants it mate. it is one of the prettiest out there.

yeah, it's definitely a beauty! U.C. baby!!

this is from anime island company who posted this on myfigurecollection:
"Also Bandai changed how they handle the Metal Gundam (due to limited quantities) and only give each dealer 1 case, so you see it you buy it or else it is gone."

Looks like Gentai-Kits shipped my MG Heavy Arms Custom. Only Talgeese left in order to have all the Wing Kits I care about. Wonder if they'll release Sandrock Custom next year. It's the only one left that they can easily make by recycling an old kit, I think.

I'm glad I got mine in.

Thanks again for staying on top of the pre-order statuses everywhere.

David's an enabler, you got to be careful around him ;p

no problem! it was pretty fun watching the demand.

did you get one? these will help pay for a used car in the future =P

as long as you get it during pre-order time, you'll rarely ever lose money if you ever decide to sell it down the road. (even the ones that are not in demand hold serve in value)
look at this metal build, he's going for 2,000+

i could've had a MSIB one for 700 last year and kicking myself for not pulling the trigger: (i thought 700 was way too much for a gundam, now this guy is commanding 2k, sheesh)

I try to avoid buying something because I plan on selling it in the future. Doesn't feel right to me. If I buy something it's because I wanted it. Maybe a Metal Build Master Gundam would push me to invest in this line.

Also, I went over budget because I allowed the transformers fan within run wild. But that's OK, because I don't regret what I bought at all.

jk, about the car =) for me it's about limited space, and once i want something new, i need to move stuff out. (until i get a big house that is) but living in an apartment you sorta have to compromise to move stuff out when new pre-orders come in. it's nice to know when a figure holds it's value if you decide to want to move it in the future.

the great thing about Macross and Gundam Metal Build figures: you don't lose much money (if any at) when moving stuff for new pre-orders.

Okay! Started this with my Dad today, finally a Gundam I haven't seen before. Definitely rough. We both agree the focus was in entirely the wrong place. Rather than really focusing on the Gunner and the Captain of the crew, the two people sort of being forced out of importance, where the real heart and emotion of the story was, we focused on how sad it is the super big gun they developed didn't get used again. It's such an odd tone. We'll be watching Episodes two and three tomorrow, but it looks like he's leaning towards dropping the rest of Igloo after that, particularly since no one here even bothered to defend Igloo 2 lol.

I'll probably watch them myself though later on, when I get to them in my "Gundam from beginning to end" marathon. That's kinda on hold atm though.

Igloo 2 is more about ground forces and the "Goddess of Death". And it's all on the Federation's side.

So are you arguing it's actually worth a watch? People came forward to recommend Igloo, in the face of warnings, but so far no one's really stuck up for Igloo 2. We'd probably watch it if someone made a good case for why it's better than Igloo's mess so far (That said, I mean, if we like Igloo episodes 2 and 3 we'd continue watching anyway.)

I liked it, but I'm just kind of telling you what it's about.

So I'm about ten episodes into Zeta Gundam. The dub is like a low rent version of G Gundam's, which means it is amazeballs.

Kamille did something right for once! No one hits him for like four episodes. Then he meets some money man at AEUG and gets his shit kicked in by everyone! The best part is when he whines about how violence never solves anything...The same kid who threw down because someone someone thought his name was girly and nearly killed a dude in a robot because he put him in cuffs for said assault.

After that Kamille learned to never step out of line with Wong...dude beat the shit out of him. I think when he got kicked in his forehead his eyes rolled into the back of his head. I don't remember liking the Zeta dub...at least it's better than the ZZ dub.

So Rightstuf's trade in deal for Turn-A Gundam Bluray set 1 is to trade in your DVD set 1, and get Bluray set 1 for $25. Not too shabby I guess.

Finished placing stickers on my RG Sinanju =)

Gundam SEED did pretty badly over here. So much so that TOONAMI never even aired DESTINY.

I'd still like a Blu-Ray release though.

I need it so I can actually watch in full screen and without Daisuki's interupttions, and also in actual BD 1080p quality. And I guess the dub, though having gone through Seed twice and Destiny, I dont think I could get into an eng dub.

I thought that was because Seed was badly edited and it was during Toonami's down fall?

It wasn't that badly edited (just a few chunks of random nudity) and while it was done during the downturn it was both near the beginning and under performed no matter what timeslot they put it in.

Gaijin's apparently want nothing to do with Fuukuda.

A douche is still a douche regardless of speaking dubbed or subbed.

The point where he
stops caring about Relena and starts commanding White Fang
just doesn't make sense to me. Char's motivations were sometimes dumb but he was consistent with them at least.
Char...I mean Zechs is just a hyper confused individual. Epyon most likely just fried his god damn brain.
