thanks for all of the advice :) I'm going to watch the tv series and see how I find it, maybe I'll try the manga but I normally prefer animation. guess it depends on how much of a gundam fan I turn into, already looking at some of those figures...

Victory gundam 48-END

Overall all this as now reached my top gundam shows.

Every character was amazing! Uso as to be one of the best MC in gundam in general, he was was ressourceful, likeable, shown to be vulnerable and he progressed so much since episode 1, truly a fantastic character.

It had some of my favorite gundam battles of all time(that last battle with the V2 using is Wings of Light as a shield HOLY SHIT).

Thw show artstyle was amazing, it's imo the perfect continuation from the other Tomino gundam shows. Colors were great and it had some fantastic environnement shots.

Story wise, it was great, the build up to the final was very well done. It constantly went up, never really slowing down. And that final battle had the absurdity level put to maximum! It made every last second of it amazing.

On a emotional level it stayed pretty consistent, but the one thing that pushed me to tear up a little was in the last episode where Karlmann said is first few words and tried to stand up, it was too much....the mix from the sweetness and cuteness from Karl with his desire to see Shahkti come back was amazing for me during the climax from the final battle.

Last few points, Katejina finished insane, she deserved that ending, crazy woman!

Also with how everyone was talking about this show, I was expecting much worst for deaths. While it was not tame, it was not anything particulary intense.

In conclusion this was amazing, it's really the first Tomino show that resonate with me and it resonated so well. Shame the other UC stuff he made just did not feel right for me.
It's always great to see a positive Victory Gundam comment, I think it's one of the more misunderstood Gundam shows. Even Tomino doesn't seem to like it which is weird since it's better than everything he's done recently, with only Turn A being a better show depending on who you talk to. I wouldn't watch Turn A for more Gundam cause to me it's not stereotypical Gundam, but it's a great show in it's own right.

So we finished Thunderbolt and Origin IV prior to thanksgiving.

I'd only seen Thunderbolt myself up till about halfway through, so the entire back half was new for me. I liked its brutality a lot, even if it strawed into blatant hammy territory now and again. But the ending feels so rushed, and does a bunch of flash forwards. I'm also wonder how the heck the story continues enough for another season? Are the flash forwards basically a preview of the next season's content or does the story shift past
A Baoa Qu?

My Dad also enjoyed it, although he for some reason still has great difficulty telling feddy soldiers apart from Zeon soldiers (I honestly don't know why.) For once he didn't feel like this was aimed so much so at kids, more of a broad/young adult audience. He's not sure he wants to see the follow up though.

Origin IV he liked a lot more though. I also thought it was fantastic, and I continue to feel like Origin is my favorite interpretation of Gundam, fixing a lot of issues and fleshing out a lot of content from the original.

Anyway now it's onto my favorite 0083. I guess we'll see where he sits on it compared to everyone else, since it seems to be one of the more divisive titles depending on which communities you talk to.

Thunderbolt ending doesn't line up with the manga, so I originally thought there wouldn't be another season. I guess they'll just act like nothing happened and follow the manga.

oof tough. I think I'd go with the Full Armor, and get a Red Unicorn down the road to go with it, since while the Titanium finish is nice, you can only build one version anyway.

I can tell you that while full armour takes quite a while to build it is an awesome kit once completed. I dont know about Unicorn.

I'll say Titanium.

I think Pink Unicorn is better looking then Green and I like the white shiny finish.

Decided to go for the Full Armor one since it's already released and it's cheaper as well.

Oh okay, thanks for the heads up! Makes me think a Season 2 wasn't in the cards when they finished and only got the go ahead after the fact.

Full Armor was a fun build. I would recommend it, and then maybe (if you're willing), buy the Titanium later and build it with the red psycho frame

I was initially thinking of buying both but since both units are almost the same model it would be rather redundant, let alone pretty expensive.

The only thing in the manga that doesn't line up with the anime is that
Sean, the armless Zaku 2 pilot that gets killed in episode 2, survives via escape pod and ends up on Earth in a couple of sidestory chapters. So far, he hasn't reappeared in the main story, so it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things

I forgot about him getting caught by Zeon.

Edit: I see the issue was already resolved.

Well, uh, I bought some P-Bandai and expo stuff, the latter of which is set to arrive next week. Will share pics when done.

Actually tend to stay away from Gundam in general in SRW when I have the choice so I'm excited about this being exclusively Gundam.
Really?

Wing Zero and Strike Freedom are almost always busted and stand up there with Gravion, Aquarion and Kaiser/Getter/Dizer.

Personal preference really, not denying there are good Gundam units out there. Just tend to go Super routes first and prioritize those units, and never have time to go back and do the others.

LOL fair enough.

I go Super if it has Grendizer or Getter G otherwise it's real.

That said I did actually love GunLeon in the Z series.

Thankfully it had alot of Wing Zero in that route.

Forgot the new GG game came out. No time to play it though sadly. Though I enjoy their style of upgrading units until they turn into Gundams, even if it made no sense.

Also constantly resisting MG Banshee everytime I see it in the shop... What were the issues with the Unicorn's again?

I'm in the middle of a re-watch of 0079 of sorts. I've watched the movies, but I'm now watching the series on Blu-ray. I'm only 8 episodes in, but it is really great! I'm digging the old animation style. The movies are a bit hard to deal with, as they are all 3 hours, but the 20 minute episodes are easy to watch several of without feeling fatigue. Loving this!

G Gundam makes me hope Kyoji can be saved. I need it it. Just finished the tag team Allenby with Domon Kasshun and that giant magnet. Really epic burning gundam.

I cant wait for Domon Sai Saici episode

Just finished my rewatch of this about two weeks ago. I gotta place G in my list of favorite Gundams now. It's just so good at what it does.

Domon vs. Sai Saici is a great fight as well. That whole episode is great.

edit: just saw there is a Haman Kahn figure/statue coming. Welp gotta preorder that! Also have not been keeping up with IBO but Gundam Vidar... -whooo fans self-
