I used to live in Shinjuku and get destroyed every time. Now, I live in a rural area, so there is nobody to kick my ass when I play.

I don't know why I haven't been as into Gundam as I was when I lived in Tokyo. I was watching the first Gundam Build when it was airing each week on TV, and I was buying model kits, playing Extreme Vs. at the gamecenters, etc... I need something to reinvigorate my interest. I think watching Destiny may have been my downfall.

Me and Vas own the Strike Rouge Ootori Remaster and we both think it's a better kit.

Well, I very much do think it's better. Vas thinks it's good.

I find the colors on the Strike Rouge RM much more mature and it is more cohesive than the generic anime hero colour on the Aile Strike, red, blue, yellow, white...

Comes with a stand and a lot more weapons+better backpack.

in my opinion the launchpad tho nice, is really needlessly big and takes a ton of space.

It's not like the GP01-Zephrathes or Unicorn OVA where the cage is warranted.

I really don't like these designs. The shoulder arms carrying the shields look so ugly. I get that these are mechs in space so weight isn't that big of an issue to have all these weapons and extra shields strapped to the mobile suits, but it does not look pretty. It is the same reason I'm not a huge fan of the full armor Unicorn design.

I don't know anything about it, but I'm always excited for UC based Gundams and more stories set during the OYW in particular. I'll definitely check it out.

The Perfect Grade Strike Rouge actually comes with the Skygrasper. The PG Strike you need to get that separately.

Both PG Strikes come with the Grand Slam sword.

Full Armor Unicorn is great because it can send out it's shield and beam gatling as shield funnels.

Full Armor Unicorn is best Unicorn.

Thunderbolt designs have their own charm in how ridiculous they are, I think. Thrusters and guns errywhere. The kits are also pretty solid, and good for collecting a bunch of random warning stickers if you need them.

Yeah that Zaku 1 is so dope, love the GM too. The TB GM is actually the kit I'm building right now, it's pretty good.

Also pre-ordered the HG Revive Qubeley, it'll look good next to my ZZ.

Char Aznable was the name of one of Char (Casval/Edouar's) friend that he made when he was adopted by the Mass family. The two looked near identical except they had different eyes and Casval would then fake his death by setting up the real Char to die in an explosion planned for the Zabis and Casval would then take the name Char and use it as his new identity.

It's why Char has a scar and a mask, so that he can continue the farce that he is Char Aznable and fuck up everyone in his path.

Wasn't an accident, Char/Casval is a fucked up asshole who meticulously planned everything so that he could take advantage of his "friend's" death so that he could lead a life of freedom and continue his plans for revenge or whatever fucked up shit is going on in his head.

Sayla is also partly why Char has a psychological attraction to weak, needy little girls. He is a gigantic siscon.

Just marathoned OO season 1, it's been a while since I watched it and it still holds up well. It's probably one of my favourite seasons of any gundam show. The suit designs, the fight choreography, the character designs are all top notch. The plot flowed well despite being fairly complex. Can't decide if I want to watch season 2 or not, I remember quite well how disappointing that one was.

Just thinking about it makes the Mobile Suit Gundam 1979 more darker in terms of the character Char. Also Char is more sinister then first seems.

Came super close to buying this today.

Gunpla has always been tempting but easy to not buy given the extra costs and what not from ordering online... but now that a ton kits I'm interested in are literally a 15 minute or less walk away... damn. Trying to hold out til that first paycheck next month but damn~ seeing MG Infinite Justice, Rouge, Aile Strike, HG Draissen, Jesta, and what not for literally half the price they are ordering from USA.... same for supplies.

Gotta resist a few more weeks then I might go deep into this later lol.

Just finished Turn A, and oh boy is that series great. The second ending song gives me chills, and the music throughout is amazing. I don't care too much for the second opening theme, but at least it was only for like 10 episodes. Something like episode 46 was so funny too. I forgot specifically which episode, but it's the one where the pilot of the silver Sumo's voice sounds like he's going through puberty. I was laughing through the whole episode.

Yeah HLJ has the HGs for about 850 yen, that's around $7 USD which was great for me. I have the Barbatos & Mika cards, which look cool but sadly nowhere to use them. I'd mail you them if it's cheap (assume so since they're just cards).

I don't think it's been awful, but it's not as good as I'd hoped it'd be. The CGI isn't the worst but it would have been great to have a nice hand-drawn series about Char's origin, since that seems so important. And the music isn't anything to write home about, it really is mostly just forgettable background fluff. Sad because the manga is sooooo good.

I've seen some positive talk about Mikazuki but I don't think anyone cares about Crank or Fareed. Might be different in Japan though, idk.

The CGI is actually not terrible and probably the least of my complaints about the series. But if you stack this back-to-back against Unicorn, the gulf in directing ability is night and day, it's so disappointing. Every character acts is such an exaggerated, over-the-top way, it's almost to parody levels.

Never even heard of Thunderbolt before this announcement but I hope that put together a much better staff for that than they have on Unicorn.
