Anime Ja Nai doesn't really do much for me, but then, I've never finished ZZ.

I like Toki wo Koete, at least.
I love Anime, partly because it works so well and the intro credits shifting from Amuro to Kamille and finally Jadau was just amazing. Plus it just rocks when used in games,

Liking one of the Zeta themes is practically mandatory in my opinion. Anime Ja Nai grew on me actually.
None of the Zeta themes do anything for me. Then again I hate the Jazz/Funk beat of 0079'as well and when I heard thunderbolts had Jazz music it killed any desire to watch it sadly.

Ok I bought mg fenice and I am placing a order for the v2 wings of light later this week. GG infinite says the wings release in feb but gundam planet says they release this month. Either way they aren't out yet on either site :/

also debating between the mg double x and mg red astray build fighters version

Yeah I know you really don't like that show. I'd like to think every gundam show has something redeeming about it.

I buy cakes for myself on my birthday it's not weird lots of people do it I bet
The first Zeta theme being an adaptation of a Neil Sedaka song (which is why the official English releases replace the OP with a BGM from the show) is pretty neat.

They both are sedaka arrangements plus one of the endings if I'm not mistaken. I just think the second op was an arrangement of an unreleased song.

Quality isn't the question here, ALL Gundams, it doesn't matter which one could be improved on.

The fact is the story is told and the overall structure has no need to change and effect the greater story line of the UC universe. Do stuff that has not been done like Hathaway's Flash.

I say this about stuff like for stuff likeEndless Waltz Glory of the Losers which makes Wing some what good instead of pure trash like the TV show, it has no business being animated.

Subs will not make it much better, it was WAY to rushed and had no business being released in the way it was sadly.

Sunrise really screwed the pooch with F91.

F91 and Crossbone is good tho and it has a good setting that sets up for a post Unicorn UC environment. More so than Victory anyway.

A lot of the suits are a progression from earlier UC and it works out pretty good at least until the end of Crossbone.

F91 deserves a fully fleshed out story and series anyway since it was not given that chance. There is a lot of potential in it.

F91 has a very good setting. Crossbone expands on it a little but it is placed 10 years after F91. If anything needs and deserves a reboot it is F91.

Tomino da god. G Reco was enjoyable and good and it should get more fleshing out.

just finished watching F91 w/ subs, last time was about 15 years ago (w/o subs)

it's better than i thought. i had no idea the guy in the mobile armor was in the family line as Berah/Cecily.

man! the plot sure moves fast... that whole series cut down into a movie LOL one min he's breaking into Berah's home the next minute his in outer space in combat....

overall i thought i was watchable. liked it much better than 0083 movie.

F91 is fucking great. I wish they had a movie trilogy.

I actually don't like crossbones that much. Storyline its good. Mecha are good. Panel art and character design suck tho

As for ost,

My favorite bgms are first Gundam, victory and turn a. Generally the franchise has had good music.

Best mecha series soundtrack is ideon tho

I loved the first part of Crossbone with Seabook. Switching him for the brat killed it for me.

Old Man Judau and Broken ZZ is awesome though.

Can someone remind me of the major plot beats in Unicorn? Especially toward the end? My mind's a haze. I enjoyed it (far more than my friend, anyway) but some things sort of blended together.

Also, if anyone has a link to that amazing music that played whenever Unicorn was presented dramatically, that'd be the bee's knees. That song was rad.

I still believe that the whole time traveling part was just a vision induced by Full Frontal and Char's anger. Basically, he believed in the worst possible outcome. Laplace's Box is not a box, but actually the UC Charter that was written at the beginning of the UC. It states if ever an space evolved human (Newtype) were to appear that they would be given priority in the government to head the new era. Instead Syam Vist hid the box and used it as a means to blackmail the Federation and create Anaheim Electronics. Minerva announces worldwide about the charter and that was pretty much it.

Crossbone is only in manga form. Sadly the art is really bad and the new characters are pretty generic. The Seabook and Cecily stuff is pretty good as well as the suit design.
Enjoy that first look at Crossbone because it recycles more then Katoki in Wing Endless Waltz and FT.

Do people actually think
Banagher and Frontal literally travelled through time? Of course they didn't. Newtype powers have always been centered around perception. The psychoframe as well as psycommu are devices that serve as amplifers and converters of psychic waves into energy. In this regard, it was serving as an amplifier. It expanded frontal and Banagher's conscious to percieve time multifaceted, similar to how Lalah saw it when she was dieing. They weren't physically travelling through time.

I remember some people making it out like it really happened. The whole thing was an attempt to demoralize Banagher anyhow.

Present to you Banagher and Full Frontal

How have people not caught on to the fact that I exaggerate the shit out of things for comedic effect by now?

Read Crossbones. No anime for that one.

Thank you!

It really sounds like there ought to be a sequel series.

Oh. Sweet.

Gundam SEED #19-20 Thoughts

The Desert Tiger met his end. There was some snazzy dialogue between him and his main squeeze, but I knew what was coming. Especially when y'all called him a Ramba Ral. Kira looked pretty damn disturbed, meaning it may be time for our intrepid gruntagonist to go through his inevitable period of uber-angst. He really plowed through those Mobile Suits, by the way. Pretty ace choreography.

Meanwhile, Athrun has KTSD (Kira Traumatic Stress Disorder for all you non-psych majors) and Le Crouset is... a drug addict? Or something? Hmm. Probably some genetic distortion brought about by tampering. It was a side of him I'd not yet seen. It was intriguing.

Kagari is the best. Flay is gonna have to work overtime on the Cray!Flay to catch up to her.

Note I said Kagari. This isn't a GAF-joke so much as a note that the simulator logged her as Kagari, not Cagalli. I lol'd.

Lastly, OPERATION SPITBREAK LMFAAAAOOOO.

I think it takes a bit for Kira to climb out of rock bottom, him with Flay is just no good for him. Waltfeld had such a cute sidekick.

Waltfeld is great. He stands with Zechs as the few successful Ral/Char clones that fills the trope but stands out as his own character. The masked rival character is almost a requirement for a Gundam series, but normally the character is pretty boring. Now that I think about it, is Waltfeld the only time they try to recreate the Ral character in another series, ignoring Build Fighters of course?

Wouldn't Norris be a Ramba Ral? I'm assuming South Burning is the good guy equivalent?

I thought Harry Ord was a pretty decent masked man, simply because the mask is just a nod to the theme and there's no actual reason he wears one---the viewer probably goes into the show expecting a reason for the mask, but he totally subverts expectations. I think probably Guin Lineford gave a more traditional Char vibe though, but I guess he was more of a Ghiren-type, though to a far less extent.

Now I wanna rewatch Turn A. :(

One of the first characters in Iron Blooded Orphans seemed to sort of go for that---the noble senior member of the enemy faction---Crank Zent. Though I don't know what exactly the requirements of a Ral Clone would be.

I hate that there isn't anything new MG or RE1/100 scheduled for anything earlier than April yet. Bandai please leak and show off some more stuff.

I want that RE1/100 Kshatriya so bad, sooner rather than later please.

Everyone on the moon dresses like assholes is the reason for the mask.

It is, just EXAM Ifrit and Kshatriya seem to be the ones that are currently confirmed for production now while the rest of the list like Reborns is still under consideration and planning.
