The Gundam |OT2| Another 5 years of Gunpla, Origins, and GUNDAMUUUU!

Isn't Prometheus Gundam essentially the "wolfwood" Gundam? I'll admit the designs make no damn sense, they just seem too busy with capes thrown on just because.

Yep.

latest

Heavy Arms is a silly design to begin with, so I kind of think this actually works.

oh nice! i may have time this upcoming month, maybe i can start RG gp-01 full vernian since you're doing one also. (i thought i had the standard unit 01 but i can't find it or never ordered it.)
I almost bought Full Vern, but I hate the shoulders and back pack I decided normal form over Upgrade this time.

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.
It's an 80's action movie rolled into one gundam without any of the style. I don't even like the coloration of it. It's "gun guns guns" the weapons load out is boring and lacks imagination to me.
Yeah but

i think you mentioned you don't use the decals to keep anime look, are you going to panel line or just do a dirty build since you got 4 kits to burn through

and i'd like to see the crossbone =)

Yep that is my usual (no decal) but I do panel line, to me it helps keep that anime look.

Usually I'd do all four but I hate panel lines on the Pearl Coatong that Cross Bones and Wing Zero Specials share so I'll skip that one.

My MGs will be Lined, and I'm considering GP01 but as I've only built the legs I haven't decided as of yet.

I am working on 6 MG kits but going from the easiest so I am half way done with my Heero Wing zero then Amazing red warrior

edit-yes I am doing full decals, stickers, and panel lining.

MG Quabley
- guys I opened the box to this and the parts look amazing. With very few decals and stickers. Looking forward top coating this and putting on a white stand. Last mg kit purchase till April-May.

It's a good kit, but an early MG and it shows. I built it about 15 years ago.

haha yea it is has that old school feel to it but I am sure I can make it look pretty. I remember reading that this kit released in 1999, but it looks good for such a old ass kit.

Its a great MG i just hate the look - though I will buy one to go with ZZ 2.0 whenever we get it- and I see nothing but praise, in fact from all the Zeta stuff the Quabley was eaily the best MG.

2.0's aside of course.

I've got a Dom Tropen Sand Brown coming soon-ish.

That's about it.
i just looked that up. it looks like a nice kit.

regarding RG's, it'll take me 2 months to complete. i'm really slow... and i get really stressed decaling it. panel line also takes me a while. i really hate if the shoulders look bad esp where the number goes and the eye decals.

it took me 2 days to do the shoulders of the de-active destiny and x-105 =(

after i finish reading crossbone i may have to hunt down some kits.

edit: oh damn i see more posts

MG Rx-78-02(Origin ver.)

HGUC RX-78/MS-06S(Gundam PS Vita packin kits)

i'm interested in the 78 origins as well

Beth hates all of my favorite MS, lol. First Ex-78, now Quebeley, next you are gonna badmouth the V2 ;-(

But it released summer 01 iirc. I was going into my senior year of HS, lol

V2 is okay, though I prefer V1.

I'm weird the things that make me like a suit are very specific and the bad part is the second it's to much I hate that to.

I love flair and sharp angles so stuff like Wing EW, Fenice, Scythe and even things like ZZ wing fins and knees make me love it. Same goes with Unicorn as all its plates have sharp edges.

Where as things like 78-2 is just flat and boxy looking and Quably's bulk is mostly just there to be there and serves very little purpose.

There is something about the way Katoki designs that really speak to me and it's why I like a lot his designs.

I just watched 7 minutes of heavy Arms getting it's ass kicked.
Lol watching Heavy Arms is hard in Extreme Vs.

Its notoriously one of the single hatdest suits to use, but that said watching it work can be amazing. Same with somethinf like X Divider is tons of fun to watch.

yeah, the numbers on the shoulders really stick out and the eyes.

for the deactive: i got a silver sharpie paint marker and added it bc the black shoulders looked too plain and was too dark for the gundam marker to panel line. (the plain look drove me crazy) a bit ghetto but used a toothpick to shave the excess off, turned out ok.

for the x105, on one shoulder, i tried using the grey gundam marker gm 01 and it looked too dark and nasty so i went and got a 0.3 pencil for the second shoulder and re went over the first one w/ the pencil.

but the decal edges got a bit dark because of the pencil smudges. took me hours to cut the decal edges off to try to mask it.

Too bad I can't play the online in that. Do I need a Japanese psn?

See I hate really busy MS, like G, W, X, SEED. Like Epyon and Virsago in particular I loathe. Deathscythe Hell(both) and Wing Zero(EW) annoy me with their flairs.

I love simple, clean lines. RX-78, Mk 2, V, V2, Nu, Gerbera Tetra, Jegan, Jamesgun, etc

The franchise has something for everyone

Indeed it does.

See I get over flavored quickly so stuff like SEED destiny, OO and IBO I can't stand so I'm this weird middle ground lol.

That said I do Love Nu and Ka Nu is in my top 3 suits.

If I remember right you do not need a JPN to just play.

I created one to download HiNu but after that I just played on my US account. DLC is store locked so if you wanted that you would need a JPN account of course.

How about the online? I know people on here like Donkey play.

I think you'd need a PSN account of the appropriate region (JPN PSN for a JPN version, I think there's a HK version? maybe referred to as "Asia") to redeem the online code/download the game and it'll register the code to your PSN.

And yeah, it's really easy to make a Japanese PSN account.

guys when watching the series in chronological order

it should be 0079, 08th team, then what? I am almost done with Recog G and and have 3 episodes left of 08th team but I don't wanna start zeta again if there is stuff between the two.

Isn't there 0080: War in the Pocket and 0083: Stardust Memory? I heard of MS IGLOO but I think it's CGI based. Dunno if it's worthwhile.

There is nothing to watch after G-Reco. G Reco is the peak of the franchise.

In all seriousness if you haven't caught up on Universal Century you mind as well catch up now. Or watch Turn A. G Reco references Turn A and UC quite a bit.

You can do that with a na psn i believe.

Its only dlc that requires JPN.

If you mean quality, it runs pretty well. I have an easier time recommending Extreme as an online fighter then sonething like MK X

No the game requires an online pass for the region you buy the game in, so in JP or HK if you were to play online. The DLC requires it too

The game has decent online if you are wired, it is just playing across countries can be difficult because a lot of rooms are segregated based on your ranking, win%, and internet connection bar level.

The game is very fun and you can set up a pseudo-lan play where all 4 PS3 is connected to the same network and it is very close to LAN.

I would suggest gundam fans and competitive game players to pick it up because it is a very fun and technical game.

Does it? Hmm honestly I'd forgotten that.

Thank you for the correction,

Well since I'm in America using Wifi should I even bother?

If you play against other NA players it should not really matter. They would prefer wired but they're not going to kill you over it unless you have the worst connection possible.

The game has over 100 suits to choose from and a ton of fan service. The ones on the PS3 do not have the insanely stupid EX A story with the Dark Sthesias, only the arcade has that at the moment.

Are any of the suits or music I'd like DLC?
