Nah but seriously I've read LoTR but I just don't find them enjoyable but I love to read fan fiction during work and on drives when I ride shotgun. Hell even Gundam fan fiction like Relena/Dorothy or Raine/Allenby.
I'm just a weirdo who likes me ha but finds the stories trite so now I just build the models and that is okay because I get want I want the mechanics and for those who enjoy it they can have the stories to go along with it.
So overall I know I'm at odds with the fandom and it's also why I make sure I never try to speak for anyone but my self haha.

I LOVE Victory. The Shrikes, Chronicle, Marbet Fingerhat. I love everything about the show except Uso and Shakti. It was also my first Gundam series, so that has a lot to do with it im sure.
Everything about SEED and Destiny are terrible, except the music, they have excellent music. I feel mostly the same about Wing except I dig Zechs, Noin and Treize.And the Tallgeese is pretty cool.
Oh and I dig the original Astray design.

Ya know I wanted too? Like really bad?
For a while I even convinced myself I did. My hatred of Shinn was so intense that everything he had had to be the worst of the worst, but slowly I let go of that and actually love the Metal Build Destiny, even more so the Heine version.
I think I would at least like SF if not for Gold frame or Super Dragoons. I mean they had to try so hard to make him have the best of everything his gear has Super in the damn name and it just drove me nuts.

The only thing good about Cosmic Era is Star Gazer, and my feelings on that are probably because it's easy to stand out amongst the mediocrity of CE.
In terms of AUs, I was so disappointed in X. There are good things about it, but it really should have capitalized on its cool premise. It barely felt like a post apocalypse Gundam. Should have been more Mad Maxish. That would be pretty sweet.
Turn A did a much better job of being post apocalypse.

But how? Shakti, I can understand (even if she grew on me and I ended up liking her by the latter half), but I personally consider Uso probably one of my top Gundam protagonists.
X is my biggest disappointment because of my enjoyment and then overall disappointment in Wing.
Given the setting, MS and things like the Sat Canon I really had got my hopes up that things would be desolate and dark as hell and we would finally have that brutal lead. Then we got Garrod and Tiffa who was just a brutal pair for me.
Now a Gundam X based on Jamil's past I may have loved.
Sadly that was not meant to be.

LOVE Katejina. And I love Zanscare's crazy bug MS. The Abigor is one of my all time favorite designs.
And it became my first Gundam, because in like 95 or so, when I got into tape trading, I was getting Sailor Moon and Marmalade Boy tapes and someone sent me a bunch of V Gundam on accident.
I'm getting unreasonably mad at how ineffective beam weaponry is in AGE. All of the beam rifles make these weak "pew" noises and they never deal any damage. Beam rifle against UE suit? Nothing. UE beam weapons getting direct hits on the Gundam? Nothing. Capital ship beam cannons? The same damn noise and no damage to the other ships. I think this makes me mad because in no other Gundam is beam weaponry this ineffective. One of the things that made the Gundam special in 0079 was the fact they had miniaturized a beam cannon for use on a mobile suit. Even in Seed where beam weaponry was prolific a direct hit from a beam rifle meant serious damage even to a Gundam.

I have no idea what Marmalade Boy, but getting Victory is a happy accident then. Oh that suit, it's even in Gundam Build Fighters. Katejina gets like no respect around here from certain people, they think she's like Reccoa, but she isn't. Reccoa didn't know what the hell would make her happy, Katejina at least lusted for power and fell in love with a guy that saved her life. There's way more respect between Chronicle and Katejina than with Paptimus and Reccoa.
I had no idea how much I wanted Raine x Allenby till now. Why do you expose me to so many good Gundam trash ships? Please tell me there's Kujo X Kati fanart/fanfiction.

Sides who else better then to fix two ladies broken hearts the Raine herself when people like to pair Domon and Chibidi. Thankfully it frees up the ladies.
Don't forget Zero that scans are banned on Gaf so I'd message Kagari or duckroll to see if that is okay even though it's on Gundamguy.

Eh, worst that'll happen is I'll get another vacation if they don't feel like just warning me to remove it. It'll all be on me, nothing for you guys to worry about.
Still not sure how I feel about the Freedom Ver. 2.0. I need more photos and info. The sleeker design is neat in theory, but the transformable canons look silly as hell. They're optional, but not a great feature. Need to get a more detailed look at the suit in general and a better look at it in Full-Burst formation. I also am really interested to see if its getting emotion manipulators. Early prototypes definitely looked similar to them, but that could have just been some really well styled fixed hands. I really want to see it fully decaled too.
I'm totally with you. EW has given rise to Glory of the Losers, which has turned Wing from utter garbage to something that's actually decent fun. That's a fanatic legacy. As divisive as they are, I also pretty much universally adore the EW redesigns. Wing is super over the top Super Robot anyway, and it's nice to have a set of suits that reflects that. Makes Wing really stand out and feel unique. The animation in EW is undeniable as well. Story is trash, but its legacy redeems it.

Gundam SEED #24-25 Thoughts
Holy Cagalli, Batman. This show will stop at nothing to unclothe its women. It won't let a silly thing like legitimate tension between characters get in the way of disrobing. But I mean it when I say I felt some legitimate tension. I liked Athrun and Cagalli on that island together, truly; it showed interesting sides of both of them and there's something to be said for hearing Athrun deliver a line like "whatcha dooin'?" to a girl who's drowning in a puddle in the rain like a freaking turkey.
Mu x Murrue continues to be the OTP, though. "That's harassment." "It is?" These two are so good.
Oh, yeah, and there was plot development too. I guess that's worth talking about. The Archangel reached Orb, thanks to conflict with Athrun's team. This was a weird transition: we knew both sides were coming close to that island, but jumping into the ZAFT Gundams attacking Archangel head-on at the start of #25 felt unusual for this show. Well whatever. Our heroes reach Orb and Cagalli reveals herself for the princess we all knew she was anyway, Miss Kudelia Relena Bernstein Maria. Flay speaks bitterly, Kira moans awkwardly, and Kuzzey Buskirk's name is still stupid even by Gundam standards. In other words, more of the same.
But that's all well and good.
I wonder if this will lead to an animation eventually.

Yeah that's not a bad ship at all, I hate Korra with Asami, but the odd shit doesn't bother me. I even like the Kuvira and Suyin ship. Don't even get me started with Kuvira and Lin. In my head Suyin's lazy ass just gave Kuvira to Lin and Lin trained her to be a badass cop.
That scene gives those two much needed depth. It shows Cagali that she needs to stop doing shit because in her head and heart she's doing the right thing because it will get her killed. Also shows that even though she's head strong she does have legit concern. She's that tough cute chick that Athrun needs and needs to protect at the same time. It's a good pairing keep watching.
Okay I may have turned you to Relena and Dorothy, but now I NEED to experience Lin/Kuvira...that sounds AMAZING.

Also Archiveofmyown for the fanfics or whatever that site is called. If you want a good Kuvira x Korra one checkout Laundryverse it's what really got me into that ship.
I go there often, they have a good few Relena/Dorothy stories and some other non Gundam Ships that I have.
Yeah, I immediately thought they worked well together and I hope there's something romantic for them going forward. SEED is a rather romantic series, so I may as well revel in it at this point.

I'm glad that's just an added transforming feature. I assume that with all that stuff closed down, they'll pretty much look like Freedom's typical. Maybe a bit thinner, but that's a theme with the whole design.

It appears so. They look to be just a flip out transformation gimmick. It's possible there's some linked movement and they're required to be transformed when they're deployed, I don't think we've seen non-transformed and deployed, but that would be super duper dumb and silly. The cannons in general look to be streamlined and thinner, though. I'm a bit nervous about what that will look like untransformed. It'll likely be fine, but it's a bit tricky to tell.
