It's just a gaming forum. Why would I care what anyone thinks here? You're all strangers and we're just talking about games.
I don't take this forum seriously, and I don't take these predictions seriously either. Are my predictions wrong? Probably. Maybe the game will have Ellie's mother in flashbacks. That would be interesting. Who the hell knows.
It seems this board gangs up on junior members. I guess if I manage to become a member without getting banned, I'll start expressing myself more.

It looks like Ellie, the thing is it doesn't look like a 19 year old Ellie. Looks more like a early 20 year old (22-24) Ellie if that makes sense.

Did you forget what kind of world The Last of Us took place in? You don't have to like the theory but trying to make it sound absurd and painting that user as a fucked up person is pretty disrespectful. Let's not act like rape didn't happen or couldn't happen in that universe.

A whole year? They should delay the game to fix this.
It's just that rape of women is a vastly overused, way too common story device when it comes to adding drama into the lives of female characters. And it's very rarely handled with the level of quality such an event should be. To then have that happen to one of the best written lesbian characters who'd then become pregnant is just... No.

He's got several ND-inspired pieces on ArtStation.
Loved what John Sweeney did with the main menu of the first game (also his work in U4) and so I wanted to see if I could create something along the same lines. Such a huge fan of the first game and damn, show me who I have to fight in mortal combat to get a job at ND, lol.
Started out with a quick 3D model in Maya and then threw in a mental ray skybox with some other lights while taking into consideration that the UI of a main menu (Which is why the comp is very right-sided). From there I took a few hours and headed outside with my SLR to take some texture pictures, i was pretty lucky in that my in-law's place in the mid-west has a ton of abandoned cars and stuff which is overgrown with vines all over their land.
From there I bashed in photos, painted and listened to the Last of Us soundtrack for about 10 hours. Painted the whole thing in 4k but resized for uploads. Did two other versions to show the UI and Elle's knife included upon completion like LOU: Part I.

Probably due to the facial mo-cap technique they use. It's easy enough to explain away why she'll look a bit older though, Shin-Ra has already posted a good one.

Hey ND... about MP. The Factions MP was awesome, I played it for probably more than 1000 hrs, but the metagame was really bad... felt tacked on and at times the missions were even counterproductive to good teamplay. Please do better.
And also please have a stripped down playlist without LM and Radar... maybe even disable certain perks. Thanks. "Grounded" mode, maybe.

No as in "Naughty Dog shouldn't rely on this overused trope that would be in poor taste". Not that such a thing couldn't happen in the world of Last of Us, it's just the laziest writing. "Hmm, what could happen to this female character? I know, let's have her be raped"

Yeah exactly. The circumstances of Anna's death (and life) were left wide open. Who knows what crazy shit went down between her, Marlene, and the rest of the Fireflies. And Ellie slowly uncovering the truth of her own roots has tons of potential for plot and character drama.
I've seen the movie, though it's been a few years. The Last of Us is not a "lazy The Road adaptation in video game form". They might share a few common tropes for dystopic post apocalyptic stories/worlds but overall they tell different stories with different characters.

My favourite part of that fanfic TLOU2 guess is that Ellie gets "pissed off" when her infant child is stolen, hahaha.

It was not a fan fiction, it was a quick prediction on a forum. Saying she was "pissed off" wasn't the most eloquent way to express myself, but this is a stupid video game forum. I didn't feel the need to write some epic explanation to satisfy a bunch of stuck up strangers.
In Left Behind, we supposedly found out Ellie is gay. It may have been confirmed by Druckmann -- But if not, it's possible she's bi, or it's even possible she experimented with men, which could have led to her pregnancy. Young people tend to explore their sexuality. I've heard Ellen say she was with men before she knew she was a lesbian, and I've heard gay men say they were with women before they knew they were gay. [(EDIT -- Before this gets twisted: Gay people tend to experiment with the opposite sex to make sure for several reasons. 1) they're ashamed, or they don't want to face the reality of being who they are 2) They want to see if they can feel the same about the opposite sex as they do with the same sex]. Just because she kissed a girl at 14 years old doesn't mean she was sure of her sexuality
It's more likely that the woman is her mother, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility that it is Ellie. I also wouldn't rule out the possibility that she was raped and carried the child, as awful as that would be.
I recently saw a critically acclaimed TV show on Netflix that depicted two teenage girls raped during the 13 episode story arc. Both characters were shown being raped. And both scenes were disturbing and difficult to watch. Even though it was sickening to watch, I never thought the writers were sick themselves. They had a story to tell and it happened to have some disturbing elements to it.
If I were to describe the story of TLOU Part I, it would probably sound dumb. It's not about the concept, it's about the execution. My post was a quick theory of what I thought could happen. I was met with Gaf's ganging up on a junior member ritual because we're all subhuman pieces of trash or something.
And to be clear, my original theory didn't mention rape. Someone said "Uh, you know she's gay, right?" -- As if someone who is gay couldn't possibly get pregnant under any circumstance. That's when I said "maybe she could have been raped". She also could have hooked up with a guy to experiment -- I don't imagine there's a lot of options in an apocalyptic world. But that's not possible, right?

Ellie looks pregnant in that Easter egg, right? So if this is anything to go by, I think it's totally possible that the fireflies took her baby to try and come up with a cure. That's what they tried to do with Ellie at the end of TLOU. In TLOU, they needed Ellie's brain to try and make a vaccine, effectively killing her. If Ellie had a baby, maybe they figure they baby is immune to the cordyceps as well.
I don't see how it's so ridiculous.
The second one is just an easter egg for fun, like Savage Starlight.

I don't see Druckmann stooping as low as to use rape as a callous, insensitive and frankly lazy plot device. It's not happening. Whether it has something to do with pregnancy and a child is certainly possible though. I'd lose a lot of respect for the writing talent if they were to go down that road. Again, not happening though.

I don't know how it works here -- My old account got banned for saying Anita Sarkeesian was reaching in one of her videos. People freaked. I got banned, and bc I was a junior member, it was permanent.
I didn't know I couldn't make a new account.
I don't care if this new one gets banned, though. Whatever.
Alt accounts aren't allowed, but I've seen a mod say permanently banned people who make a new account will sometimes be let off if they've waited long enough and shown they've learned from their mistake. Guess it probably depends on how the mod feels when they discover you're an alt and how long you waited until making a new account.

Damn, saw the bump and was hoping for new news. I love the original and everything about it. To this day the game I've finished the most times on both ps3 and ps4. Just recently completed a playthrough earlier this year.

I'm kind of hoping Ellie has one or two David flashbacks in TLoU PII.
Hell, have a bonus minigame (or several) classic Resident Evil style: Ellie & David versus The Snow Infected with its own title screen.
Uncharted 4 lets you replay most of the tactical combat encounters and I think ND could expand on that with a gold/silver/bronze score-target challenge mode for extra replayability. Players love unlocking extra shit when completing games!
Adding that kind of structure might even help Naughty Dog internally playtest and hone the challenge of their combat and difficulty modes.

My guess is that the pregnant woman is Ellie's mother, the picture even has the tag line American Daughters. Maybe we get to see/play Ellie's mothers back story

Plenty of disagreements allowed so long as you're at least somewhat civil and your "disagreements" aren't about stuff like gay/transgender rights or other basic human decency like things.
I have a very hard time seeing you being banned just because you posted a post "I think Sarkeesian is reaching", there has got to be more to it.
And NeoGAF modding is harsh towards juniors to weed out people who can't follow some basic rules for at least as long as they become members.

I trust ND to do something cool and interesting with the story. I loved Neil's quote of "if we have something to say, they'll be a sequel". I assume this remains, true, and anticipate what ND has to say. Don't really care to speculate all that much.
I do find it weird a lot of the discussion was based around the doctor scene and this one user saying how much better it would have been with a cut-scene. Just very strange to me. I didn't want to hurt the doctors either, but I completely understood why Joel would lol. I was playing through Joel, it's not like I was a silent protagonist. Really weird thing to complain about. I either vibe with a character or I don't. A few hours into GTAV for example, I knew I wasn't going to complete the game because I hated Trevor, I didn't have to get to his more outrageous missions to just put the game down, not for me. Joel (and ellie) did plenty of crazy stuff way before the doctor scene, dunno why the doctors are seemingly so innocent all of a sudden, aren't they fireflies too?

Have you read Earth Abides? It's about 70 years old and the actual book TLOU (and The Road) is heavily inspired by.
As far as the Ellie having a child thing goes, I can sort of see it. Gay, bisexual and single women have children all the time, and the pressure to repopulate (especially if you're immune!) would be certain. I'm not sure Ellie would want to have a child (at least, not yet) given what we know about the character.
How about non-naive persons that have a pretty good idea how bad things can get in a post-apocalyptic world without functioning societies and moral values?

I watched a little bit of the video, said i thought she was reaching by going back 16 years to find something to cry about, then when I logged on the next day, I was banned.
That's it. Is it valid to say I should have watched the whole video? Sure. I didn't get a chance to further the discussion or clarify the next day because I was already permabanned.
