Yep, if I had to add one negative it would be this. And the open world part of Lost Legacy also made it my least favorite chapter

I feel like there is so much to miss if I don't explore every inch and I just want to get on with killing stuff again. I like some of the conversations when I do find stuff though.
 
I just shot a ladys leg off, she got on one knee, and told me to look her in the eyes as I kill her. Then I hit her in the head with an Axe. :messenger_weary: :messenger_weary: :messenger_weary:

This was just a regular ass NPC. masterful.

Yeah, that's my gripe, I don't want to search every nook and cranny for supplies. That's my only dislike
 
Is there any way to check how much time you've played so far? I'm currently at the part where...

...Ellie reveals to Dina that she's immune and Dina reveals to Ellie that she's pregnant.

I'm playing on Survivor and it's my first playthrough, so perhaps I'm moving a bit slow.

Anyhow, this game is intense and very immersive. 10/10 so far.
 
There's something about this game that makes the shootouts feel like 10 times more real than in other games

I don't know if it's the enemies talking to each other and coordinating, their sounds of agony, the sounds of the gunfire, or maybe the way Ellie moves when she's getting shot

I agree, Some might call it torture porn but I love the grittiness and brutality of the game.

Man, I can't aim for shit in this game(have always sucked with analog sticks). Only a little ways in and unlocked a reduced sway, but still having trouble. Doesn't help that the enemies bob and weave around

Some people's may not love the story but the gameplay ,sound and graphics of this game are truly in another level there are a segment with impressive gameplay late on the game that looks better than anything showed so far from next gen console's and high end pc's , I don't like the story that much but the gameplay and the graphics are the best I have ever seen, for me next gen won't start until naughty dog release their first game on it

The sound design in this game is something else. Whether on headphones or surround sound it's amazing
 
I like the story and think it is well done but I understand why lovers of the first game are put off. Hopefully in time they will be able to look at with an unbiased perspective.

Imagine If you also Like the story, Like me. This Game is Like Christmas and Birthday combined. It is my Long awaited GOAT, GOTG, GOTY.

About 20 hours in.

Who woulda fucking guessed that TLOU2 was gonna be the best Uncharted game aswell? Seriously, some of these set-pieces and action encounters have been off the fucking chain, whilst simultaneously feeling grounded enough to fit into TLOU's world.

Incredible, incredible game.

Played about 5 hours today & it's just been brilliant.

I am enjoying the story but what this kind of combat I could be playing as Spongebob squarepants and still love playing this game. MP is going to be sick when it comes out.

I'm past the half way point. I was still a little bit unsure to myself last time I posted in here. Unless I think the ending sours it for me this is far above and beyond the first game. This games narrative resonances with me something fierce and it clicks like how I wanted it to. I'm actually impressed with it. I've shit on ND for years and I'm actually happy that the game is giving me what I want.
 
Downloading now. I've watched some streamers and read some of the positive and negative impressions here. Whether it's good or not, I feel like I need to experience it.
 
Beat it this morning. Conflicted. There's a lot to like, but I agree with a lot of the common criticism. Even still, I'm looking forward to a new game+ on grounded(I beat it on Hard) playthrough. Easily in my top 3 Playstation 4 games. But like I said since before release, I still think CP2077 is gonna take GOTY unless Halo Infinite hits like a sledgehammer(which I don't have confidence it will)

I will say I didn't really like playing as Abby especially after what she's done. She slightly grew on me as the game went on, but I still could never find a reason to get behind her. I don't CARE about her motivations, even if I understood them. I still wanted her to die the minute THAT scene happened. I mean, everyone is eating a shit sandwich in the apocalypse, I don't care about everyone else's motivations, because there's ALWAYS motivations for any character. It just came off as them taking the old saying, "if you seek revenge, dig two graves" to the absolute extreme, and most of us understand that perspective already. You could give familial motivations to ANY character good or bad, but if they are my "enemy" in MY hero's way, I just plainly don't care. Too bad, sucks that shit sucks, but it's a tough world. This game is almost if not mostly about Abby than it is Ellie and THAT is what was disappointing to me. Though Abby easily has some of the coolest set piece/sequences in the game, that skyscraper segment from start to finish was simply fantastic.

Overall I'd rate it a very very solid 8.5. It gave me some of what I wanted, surprised me a lot more than I expected(not necessarily in a good way) and was quite a journey/experience. Great if flawed game.

Jesus... I was ok(ish) with the story and writing.
But the ending.
It was nothing but reinforcing one note exploration of the "cycle of violence" theme game was doing for 30 hours.
Ending basically finalizes this story as basic misery porn.
And it's not a great misery porn like "Green Room"
Gameplay on the last difficulty is great.
Lots of well directed moments.
Great sound n GFX.

OVERALL GAME IS:
3 dead transgender lesbian Asian black jews outa 5.
