The fact that, even as a PC gamer that resents console graphics and frame rate, I'm finding Uncharted 2 to be pleasing to look at bodes very, very well for my appreciation of The Last of Us.

Hmm...disagree.

Syria was the weakest portion of the game.

Air Hanger/Cruise Ship/Desert were my highlights.

I liked the whole damn thing besides the ballroom and how Drake nonsensically touched every wall at every chance possible like some drunk fool.

the art direction goes a long way, and it's still technically impressive for the PS3

I still have a hard time playing at 30-ish FPS tho

I know this been said alot but the combat really is fantastic.

Getting a good head shot is very satisfying and the melee is great.

Can you talk about Survivor mode?

Air Hanger/Cruise Ship/Desert were my highlights.

The chasing sequences made me wish for an Uncharted game with a lot more exploration and treasure hunting than shooting, maybe no shooting at all. Those were really fun.

I'd love to invest in an adventure for a lost artifact while solving the mistery of the island or whatever. I thought Uncharted 3 puzzles were the most entertaining of the series as well.

If you still own RE6, you should try Mercenaries mode, it's what you like playing right now. A lot better than the campaign, and makes the controls shine.

Well I was hoping to get State of Decay to tide me over till TLOU but us aussies got gibbed....again.

My friend also lent me Uncharted 3 which i've never played but I don't want to bog myself down with too many similar experiences so I might just wait till June 14th so I can get maximum enjoyment.

Btw playing on hard will give you less loot.

So yeah damage the same but less stuff.

Playing the demo sorry :)

After all those perfect scores for Bioshock Infinite, maybe I'll give this two weeks of waiting first (wait for y'all to buy it and really tell me if this is worth $60)

Now I know why the Polygon reviewer didn't like it.

Watch this part. He simply sucks at the game, I don't mean that as an insult, just watching him shoot is painful.

This isn't a run and gun game, and he's clearly moving all over the place when taking shots. You are supposed to stand still, catch your breath (the reticule will minimize) and then take your shot.

I sorta feel bad for him after seeing that gameplay clip

his hand/eye coordination must be awful

I was really blown away by the Nepal area, even my dad loved it and he is not a gamer! I am PC gamer too and I have no problems switching between the two :P

I really ought to play Uncharted 3 again, as I've not played it since they patched the aiming. Maybe I'll appreciate it more this time around.

Holy shit I did not expect PERFECT reviews across the board. I honestly wasnt that interested in the game, was going to wait for it to hit a low price before playing it, but now, damn I am sure in for a surprise. Very well done Naughty Dog and Sony! The last game I can remember with such praise was GTA 4, but I am not comparing this game to that, just using it as a timeframe as to when the last time I have seen such scores!

Picked up these for $200 off Amazon as my new gaming headphones. I'm excited to try them out next week in TLOU.

Yeah the touching the wall was a bit much.

My biggest gripes with Uncharted 3:

1. Overuse of Spiders (We get it, you made the tech now you have to use it 4 times).

2. Logical gaps in story (Talbot, Talbot Talbot).

3. Rushed ending.

4. I didn't like the design of the Atlantis of the Sea as much as Uncharted 2's Shambhala.

My highlights:

1. Best set pieces of the entire franchise, hands down. Also the best puzzles in the series.

2. Fantastic interaction and character development between Drake and Sully.

3. Cool new additions such as vertical cover, improved melee and throwing back grenades.

4. Unbelievably stunning presentation. Best looking console game bar-none.

In the end, Uncharted 3 nails what matters most and is a rousing success for me.

Arne's tag should now link to The Last of Us metacritic page.

Using kontrol freeks just exacerbates the control issues in Uncharted 3. You are fighting the controls in that game. No bueno.

You just need to learn to manage the recoil, which is admittedly weird in that game. Once you get it, you'll have no issues.

Despite all the raving reviews there will still be that one thread in the future on how it didn't deserve all this praise.

Well it kinda happens with everything. I personally think that Super Mario 3D land and Vanquish are mediocre games, along with Killzone 2's SP campaign but hey they all reviewed great.

On the other hand I thought Red Dead Redemption was deserving of its praise. Haven't had a console MP experience like it, and it certainly set the bar.

Yowch.

I've already got it pre-ordered digitally, but I will most likely purchase a retail copy as there are other PS3's and people interested in the game here :P

Might as well by the disc then. I'll just buy it of digitally if ever a sale comes on PSN.

Yeah the touching the wall was a bit much.
.

Also fighting giant Jimmy Hopkins 5 times was a bit fucking much. They couldve chopped it down to two and even then it wouldve been weird. They shouldve kept one Jimmy and it shouldve been on the cargo plane.

On Survivor, you'll have one

and the gun will be jammed, so you have to beat people to death with the revolver

You should have no HUD. You know how enemies react to the click when your gun is empty? Well, if you don't count your bullets you'll feel what Joel felt in that E3 demo.

That would be great.

I think Beyond Two Souls may also play into that. And who knows COD now has dogs. It may walk away with it too. :-p

If Heavy Rain and Indigo Prophecy is any indication, yeah no....

:lol I liked that!

But yeah, I could see someone taking issue with that.
