Haven't seen the Twilight Bow but here's a shitty screen of the Six Sages Sword: https://i.reddituploads.com/ddce737ff053434ea892fdadfead1d24?fit=max&h=1536&w=1536&

Also I FINALLY found the gif I was looking for.

f5uwtHA.gif

I am glad that i have toon link amiibo i like that one the most but after 5 days i still only have the wind trousers:/

So I was in the large plain area East of Kakariko Village Near Lanaryu Mountain.

It was night and I seen a light shooting up into the sky about halfway up some cliffs on the edge of the plains. I attempted to approach it (and even tagged the spot with my Sheika Slate) but it turned morning and the light disappeared before I got there.

I decided to still check out the place as I had marked it but that also turned up nothing.

Anyone have any clue what that was?

It was a shooting star. If you reach it before the night ends then you can collect it.

A shooting star, rewards a star piece if you get there before dawn. They always land extremely far as a "so what're you going to do about it?"

One NPC started going on about a crazy story involving him being abducted, like straight-up Colonel MGS2-shit...

Then he turned out to be an enemy spy. Fuck I loved that.

So those are only gotten from Amiibos? :( That's kinda disappointing.

I have to have them all. God damnit.

I feel you guys. There's apparently a way to get around it if you have the right kind of phone but I'm just going to borrow my friends' and save scum till I get all the pieces.

And yes only amiibos. http://imgur.com/a/QWNvr

Should just reload till you get the pieces you want

Why the hell is the Link (Smash Bros) Amiibo so rare now? That was one of the most common ones... now I want it and can't find it anywhere. :(

I must have lucked out. My local Toys R Us had Smash Bros Link and Ocarina of Time Link. Picked them up the other day.

Can't believe I paid $20+ for some skins, smh lol

I absolutely adore that I can be like fuck it taking a shortcut this way!

Sees giant fucking dudes

Nope.im going back to where it's safer!

Haha. Reminds me of old school games where you needed to figure out the best way to beat the game. It didn't just tell you every second.

Should I buy armor, or collect it in the wild?

Both, some of my favorite gear is from shrines only but I do like the vendor sets for various reasons and rupees aren't really hard to come by if you just start doing some mining during your travels.

What I love so far is that the game rewards every random journey and distant curiosity. In playing for about an hour yesterday, I unexpected came across a village I didn't even know existed, got tricked by a new enemy, and discovered beautiful vistas and small side quests just by indulging the thought of "I wonder what's over there?"

I really want Epona and that OoT outfit, I only have Link, Toon Link and Sheik amiibos from Smash and so far I've only got garbage drops D:

This is incredibly stupid. I can't get over how shit this entire mechanic is.

The armor in this game has a decent sense of progression, but they completely screwed it up when it comes to weapons.

The Master Sword being weak in a Zelda game is a goddamn travesty.

The master sword is not weak

It goes from
30
atk to a whooping
60
atk when fighting
guardians and calamity infected enemies... basically the harder enemies in the game

Has anyone here been to the northwestern part of the map, specifically in
Kopeeki Drifts, and figured out how to open the stone doors leading to a shrine
? I have no idea what to do there.

You know I realize I haven't attempted to go to the edge of the map yet...hmm...

Never played a Zelda before. Is there stuff I should know or is it pretty standalone?

You'll probably miss out on a lot of "feels" though with all the references, many of them somewhat subtle, to past games...

Besides areas being named after classic characters, a lot of areas I've ventured to are designed to invoke areas from previous games.

Holy shit, Link amiibo prices skyrocketed since two days ago.

They were going for $15-$20 on Amazon and now they're both $40+.

People hungry for some skins.

This game feels exactly like where the Zelda series should have gone after the N64 classics. As much as I loved WW, TP and liked some of SS in spite of it's flaws. The mistakes of all three are more apparent while playing this. I always maintained that the worst you can say about OOT and MM was that they were products of their time, and they still stand out as timeless. While the three 3D games after were hampered by either trying too hard to recreate Ocarina and sticking to the formula too rigidly(or in SS's case, taking some steps forward and too many steps back). Not to say that those games don't have their own unique identity to them, but you get what I mean.

Wild is excellent, after almost 70 hours with the game and no intention to beat it just yet I feel confident saying it is one of the best games I ever played. It reminds me of playing Ocarina for the first time, which helped usher in 3D games, especially 3D adventure games. This game feels like exactly what the series needed, and is very bold in shedding away the baggage of old while still feeling like true Zelda game. By taking the principals of Zelda 1 and reaching new frontiers it breathes fresh air into this franchise, pun possibly intended

I got my BOTW Master Edition today and turned my amiibo display in a Zelda themed display with the Master Sword on bottom and Zelda amiibo on top.

Used some fake moss, leafs, and rocks I got from Dollar Tree. I will eventually put a light on top. I used a cell phone with flash on to see how it'll look.

From Rito to Lurelin, every village and town in this game is great. NPC's, layout, local culture, music - all superlative and distinct. Such a rich interpretation of Hyrule, so many cozy little spots to kick back in for a while.

Also getting the amiibo itch, thread isn't helping. Digging the functionality and drops for the ones I have, stalking the ones I'm missing like everyone else. Want that classic tunic and Epona.

Only beat 2 so far but What do you guys think about the main bosses?

Im surprised there isn't more talk about them.i was expecting more controversy
they are quite a big departure, resembling standard fights rather than the light puzzle like battles of the past 3D games, gone are the varied iconic designs you expect from a Zelda big boss changed to four themed bizarre goo like beasts. And yet they still have the classic Zelda eye weak point

God damn
golf
shrine. I'd just about got it figured out for the second hole but both my hammers broke. Went back in and no new hammers.

Please tell me there isn't anything good in that chest
