So this is minor, but whenever Link holds the Giant Frostblade, his cheeks turn red like he is cold. Its the small details like that that make me appreciate this game a lot.

This was just posted on Twitter:

Seems like Monster Hunter XX will feature Breath of the Wild skins. Also some Hunter x Hunter skins

Please come to the West.

Ah,
I'm sorry if I spoiled that for you. :(

That's great to hear. :)

It's okay.
I would have eventually looked it up as I wanted to get the shield before storming Hyrule castle. This just means I won't waste my time scouring the world after I finish all of the dungeons.

As you exit the hollow log he ALWAYS says that. That part is pre-scripted. It doesn't matter what you do. Just stay in the log at that part.

Also kill the wolf with an arrow the instant you see it.

Thank you kindly for the protips. Finally did it

Wait. So I just beat the game again but this time with all memories and the ms, and now the cursor at the title screen is on new game by default. Last time it wasnt like that.

So, I set myself the challenge of completing all the shrines before taking on
Ganon
, and I'm at
119
.

I know where the last one is (just outside
Kakariko Village
), and I know it'll probably involve
taking/being given the orb in Impa's house
, but the question is, how do I get it?

Can anybody help? I Googled a solution but didn't come up with anything.

Something so infectious about this game. I have a Switch arriving next week so I want to wait to play on that but I also have the Wii U version of BotW so I turned it on and just couldn't put it down.

Ehhh..
its not only found on hyrule castle.

Okay so is it just me, or is the optional challenge in the
"golf"
shrine the most ridiculous thing in this entire game?! I broke literally every weapon in my inventory trying to complete it. 5 hits with a heavy weapon made the orb fall short, but 6 hits overshot it every time...

Can only stasis it but I can't get up to hit it or get a bomb up there, it's too high - maybe im an idiot lol
Not sure if you're looking for additional hint there. So I'll spoiler tag:

Hint:
What's it made out of?

Answer I went with:
Fire arrow

I thought everyone says that's the easiest. Haven't reached it myself yet.

Isn't that the part of the map everyone says is the most difficult
I think the best way would be
Ruta,Medo,Darku(?) And Naboris
The last one has the most difficult boss by far,the first is the closest and gives an useful healing ability, the bird is easy but you need to be prepared with proper clothes.

Though as always you are free to explore regions and dont need to finish the dungeon before expliring another one.
the game is meant for you to take a good break between each dungeon to explore and collect hearts

You have to
pick up and move the orb before hitting it.

You probably misunderstand what it means, a blood moon simply respawns all killed enemies, you won't notice an immediate difference unless you are standing in an empty camp.
Killed forest full of folks only for the blood moon to revive them as I take on the last guy
Bloody hell

Man, I just did by far my longest and most intricate shrine yet (
Trial of Power: Kaam Ya'tak Shrine
), and it was awesome! Loved it. Keep in mind I've only done like 10 of them though, so it may not be anything special compared to others.

One little detail I like is how Link carries around all the weapons that you have equipped (Including bow/quiver). Sometimes you can barely see him through all the armaments. Reminds me of that old Link art where he just has all of his items hanging off of him.

Shield surfing is fun and the double jump is extremely useful in many cases
Wish the shields weren't damaged tho
Durability strikes again

That one was obnoxious. I broke a couple weapons and left because I was fed up.

I'm glad it was an optional challenge and not the main shrine puzzle. Wonder what you get from that, anyway? I'm sure it's not good enough, whatever it is.

I been trying to find out for days, nobody knows. :(
At this point im thinking it has to do with collecting the memories to get the orb

I'm at 11 hours, with no dungeons beaten. I keep getting distracted.

"Whats on top of that mountain over there?" Tuck says to himself as he diverts his course from the task he was previously doing to head up the mountain.

Repeatedly.

Am I missing some semi-obvious signposting of what order I should be doing things in?

I got the paraglider, went to Kakariko, then went all the way to the Lab and knocked off a couple of shrines on the way. Then I kinda wandered up to the Zora area and got my ass kicked repeatedly in a combat shrine near there.

Have I bitten off more than I can chew at my stage in the game (4 hearts, one stamina upgrade). Should I be doing shrines in a particular area first? And should I level up a fair bit before doing any of the Divine Beast stuff?

This happens to me constantly. I told myself I would finally start the next part of the story (going to the next divine beast), but.. nope. Kept getting distracted on my way there. On the plus side, I made a shit ton of money with a minigame. Pretty easy, too.
Snow bowling!

The Game Informer feature story suggests to me that Aonuma wants the player to run up to the Calamity Ganon fight early and die to add to the build up of facing him later.

Did anyone do this?

Use a spear. Their attack speed is so high you can fine tune really easily.

Yes, and I'm really happy I did, because infiltrating Hyrule Castle early is a hell of an experience in this game.

From what I read, you have to do several of the villager sidequests in Kakariko, then watch Impa's guards as it turns to night. After that I can't remember, but maybe that's enough to figure it out?

Remind me how to shield surf? I was so hyped for it pre-launch, and then I couldn't figure out how to do it (why would they not say that it can be done and how in the game?) and forgot about it.

Three dungeons down---probably gonna finish the main ones and then work on all the Shrines. Still don't know how far I'm gonna go to "complete" this, but I do wanna see the story end before the month ends.

Also I found the BEST Ocarina reference ever in the game (spoilers for the Bolson quest):

When you have him build you something for the house, him and his buddy do all these grunts---I'm like 100% positive they're exactly the ones from Ocarina of Time, they even do the sword spin charging up one.

Had a feeling that was it. Can't believe I ended up missing what is effectively an early game quest for so long!

there is no order. Most people seem to do Zora around that level though.

Also the combat shrines have 3 levels. minor, moderate, and major. You definitely can't handle moderate or major yet.

I'm doing the Shrine
where you have to stasis a ball and hit it across a pool into a hole.... Basically golf....

Neat idea but the thing is not super precise... Especially for the second hole with the bonus chest.... yikes

Is there a mirror shield in this game? Being abe to reflect guardian lasers without parrying or
wasting Daruk's Protection
would be nice.

It's been way too long since the mirror shield has appeared in a Zelda game.

I thought I've been playing too much of this game. So today, I decided to stop earlier and saw it was 9pm and thought that that's a good time to stop. I thought to myself I should just wrap up the things I was doing and take a break.

Then when I was finally done with stuff, I looked at the time again and it's almost 12.

Goddamnit.

Okay, since I've been getting a bunch of weapons only to end up throwing them away without ever getting to use them, I have to ask. Will I ever get those back?

While blocking with shield press jump then A
You basically get a double jump if you moving forward

Golf shrines are the worst
Precision is not there at all
Gave up on one

Yes, and I'm really happy I did, because infiltrating Hyrule Castle early is a hell of an experience in this game.

I might have to do it then! I was afraid somehow it would break the structure of the story.

I just found out about those balloons myself when cooking a whole bunch of different things and came across this item.
Read the description and went "WHAT?".

So many great little things in this game. :)

I need to go hunt for Octoroks and amass like hundreds of balloons. I wanna send everyone flying haha.

Man I wish I had a great handle on the game as that guy. I still struggle to dodge properly and stuff. Sighs.
