Holy fuck that outdoor parts was disgusting, straight out of a PS3 game maybe worse, muddy and basic AF texttures, also the view limit is terrible with all that shitty fog...they should not have put that into the otherwise fine trailer.

The Link charging a big car thing with a narrow penis shaky thing looked fucking dumb.

AI Helpers is the opposite of good, maybe they've padded the baddies so you "need" the help.

EDIT: People need fucking glasses if they think those textures and that super thick fog is OK in a game in 2023.

Oblivion won the most GOTY awards in 2006. Over games like Twilight Princess, Shadow of the Colossus, Okami and Gears of War.

That said, Starfield will be number 2 to TotK by a landslide this year, and they'll be the top 2 hands down.

I have never played Zelda, but I did play immortals which apparently is somewhat like Zelda. Didn't really care too much about the game, so I am not sure what makes Zelda special at least based on that trailer

Immortals Fenyx Rising is a pale comparison to what BOTW was pulling off. Everything except for maybe the combat was done much better and expansive in BOTW.

Not liking Immortals doesn't mean you wouldn't like BOTW or Tears of the Kingdom

i mean you are using awards from over 15 years ago as some sort of gotcha, meanwhile bethesda is still using that engine that is 20+ years old and has all the same issues it had back in skyrim. (and ignoring 2 failures plus a mobile failure since)

i know the general media dummies will put those 2 as the best games ever made ever ever of all time to infinity. but general games media are, well, dummies.

we also don't know the full yearly lineup yet but we should really be praising games that bring new life and features into gaming, BOTW you could argue did that but there's nothing (at least what we have seen) about the sequel saying that we should feel that way. I will reserve judgement for all games until release, but until then i am basing on what i have been shown and neither of those 3 titles is or should be GOTY worthy, they are just more of the same, more Bethesda Jank, more Spiderman swinging and more minecrafty less-Zeldalike TLOZ game

Immortals is like if someone was tasked to make a BOTW clone, but if instead of playing BOTW, they just watched a 20 minute overview of it on YouTube and got started. It's an okay game, but it actually does lack a lot of what made BOTW special and interesting and replaced it with Ubishit slog.

I want to be excited. Even with its flaws, Breath of the Wild was magical.

I just can't get pumped for any more games on this ancient hardware. If Nintendo came out and said the next platform would be fully BC with patches or auto-upgrades, I'd get this right away. Just hard to care with all that has come and is coming out on other platforms.

Their last game, Fallout 4, won twice as many GOTY awards as Bloodborne and came second overall to The Witcher 3.

You can say the engines old, the games are glitchy - whatever you want, but Starfield will definitely win tonnes of awards.

and i agree that dummies will give it awards, but as actual gamers i think we all know it's gonna come in with a butt load of issues and barely functions like their 3 mainline titles so far.

gamers are much more educated now than when they were around the time of skyrim and oblivion, and there's plenty of eyes on them already expecting the game to run badly. so we'll see but i don't think they are going to get as much leniency this time around as you think.

Starfield much like TOTK and Spiderman will all mostly come down to console warriors shouting at each other rather than any of them actually being groundbreaking or interesting. I will gladly be proven wrong because hot damn do we need a shake-up in gaming.
