Ok that is fine. :(

Matlock can you host the pic for me? I will stick with the Steeler faithful over Jordaphiles.....

I really can't explain my anger at my local Fox affiliate and their adamant refusal to broadcast ANYTHING in HD. The Goddamn motherfucking SuperBowl is two weeks away, and these fucking losers aren't going to broadcast in HD until the last minute possible. Meanwhile, CBSHD is the most glorious thing ever.

Fuck you, SA-Fox affiliate.

Why is Ben acting all up beat and happy at the press conference? You just threw 3 INT in a championship game, and there could have easily been another three/four if Samuel didn't drop them all...

Well, talk about a disappointing, yet all too familiar, end to a season.

I feel bad for Bettis. That may have been his last chance for a ring.

Definitely sucks for the whole team and city, but like I said there was no doubt that the better team won. I am fucking pissed as hell right now, but it is easier to accept a defeat when the other team is better than you.

Our Eagles finally did it!

All of us here in philly were praying that the steelers would win though...The pats are gonna be tough. But I think its the Eagles time to be inthe spotlight. They sure as hell deserve it. They played a hell of a season.

And dont forget people--every team gets their time in the spotlight, and then it ends...I think the Patriots time is up, and they will be forgotten just like the Cowboys. GO EAGLES!

Fuck Tom Brady and his fruit basket haircut.

Fuck the Patriots linemen who somehow miraculously never hold in a game.

Fuck Big Ben's meltdown that came just in time for the playoffs.

Fuck Plaxico and his no show the last two weeks.

Fuck that phantom holding call on Smith. Fuck the rule book that says it's an automatic first down.

Fuck going for FGs when you're down by 14 late.

Fuck CBS and their worthless game coverage.

Fuck me for investing so much in this season when I would have been ecstatic with 10-6 or 9-7 after 6-10 last year. 15-1 seasons will do that I guess though.

Fuck the Super Bowl and two weeks of listening to dynasty, genius, undefeated Brady and will TO run talk.

Fuck, Fuck, Fuck.

There, I feel better, honest, I do.

Staley must want to kill himself right now. Four straight championship losses. I wonder what the record is for a player. The curse of the Duce is over for us.

Yeah I was seriously pissed too. Don't forget:

Fuck Bill Cowher for getting bitchslapped in the coaching department.

Fuck our Offensive line for picking TODAY to be dominated for the first time all year.

Fuck Tom Brady for not turning the ball over.

Fuck the Steelers defense for giving up the big plays in the first half.

There is one positive of this dude. We have invested so much into this Steelers team over the last 4 months that you can start to focus on something other then football now. Plus, there is always next year. Lets hope that Big Ben doesn't revert into the next Kordell after this loss. I doubt it will happen, but he is going to have some growing pains and we have to let him start throwing it more so he can be more dependable in the future. I like our building blocks, but we have a lot of work to do judging by how we got absolutely worked today.

Well, I'm back from first watching the games and then going to get drunk and shoot pool.

I'm a Falcons fan, and was pulling for the Steelers, but even I can say: the Eagles and Pats flat out dominated their respected opposition tonight. Shit wasn't even close. No whining or bitching from my quarter, my favored teams got outplayed straight up.

I may have been rooting for the Steelers, but those of you who won't acknowledge the greatness of this Pats team are fucking deluded. And you better give props up to Tom Brady as well, no matter how much you like to malign him(or how much he looks like Solid Snake), the man has NEVER lost a playoff game. I don't see that stopping in 2 weeks.

Oh, and Pats 57-9 in the Superbowl.

How about some flashback humor.

Fact or Fiction: The Eagles will finally get to the Super Bowl.

Sean Salisbury
FICTION
At the beginning of the season I might have answered fact to this question, but the loss of running back Correll Buckhalter is devastating to the Eagles' plans. Last season they were successful with a running back platoon of Buckhalter, Brian Westbrook and Duce Staley. Now they are down to just Westbrook and I'm not sure how long Westbrook and recently signed running back Dorsey Levens will handle the increased workload this season. That's a big issue and I think it will keep the Eagles out of the Super Bowl.

Merril Hoge
FICTION
To be honest, I don't think they'll even get to the playoffs. Even before the injuries to their defensive line they weren't going to the playoffs because they don't have the CBs to play the defense they need to play. The additions of Jevon Kearse and Terrell Owens aren't going to be enough for them to win. Kearse won't get three sacks per game and once opposing teams start game planning against him he won't be that big a factor. Owens is a great receiver, but he's not a guy who can control or change the game. He can impact the game with his play, but he's only going to touch it a limited amount of times. You can't build an offense around a receiver.

Duce your boys better not fucking choke in the Superbowl. Too much bad shit has happened in the world over the last few weeks. From the tsunami to the undressing of the Steelers. We can't handle another calamity like a Patriots win.

All I can say is we were clearly the best team in the NFC throughout the season. We have a better shot than anyone at stopping them in the superbowl. The media will be trashing us for the next 2 weeks. That seems to motivate our defense more than anything.

It's not so easy to say that Cowher was outcoached though. When your QB is responsible for 17 points the other way and you lose by 14, that's tough. Now, I suppose it could be argued that sticking with the kid was a coaching error. And if there really is something wrong with his thumb, then it was flat out stupid to leave him in there.

And Nantz was right about one thing, Branch was the deciding factor in this game. Not Dillon and his 3 yard average.

I will say this about the Pats. You can't fucking play conservative and expect to beat them.

To me the biggest questions for the Eagles are can you stop the Pats running attack and can Andy Reid outcoach Belichick?

The Steelers staff got destroyed coaching wise and it seemed the Pats had the answer for everything we did. Eagles coaches need the games of their lives to win.

Ben played like shit no doubt. But we definitely got outcoached dude. It seemed like the Pats knew where we were going to run the ball before we did. Also, we were totally unprepared for the Pats to come out passing the way they did. When your players look unprepared in the first half of the AFC Championship, I blame the coaches. Granted I am sure Cowher didn't plan for Ben to throw that first pick, but we would have lost this game even without the INTs.

Like I said before, we got beat in EVERY facet of the game. Blocking, defense, running, throwing, special teams, penalties, coaching, etc.

And the haters just keep coming.

Tom Brady is the greatest modern quarterback. Period. How can you even argue this? Any time it matters, he makes the play. He is 8-0 in the playoffs(soon to be 9-0, there is NO chance of the Iggles winning the Superbowl). Go ask Peyton Manning if he would trade the single season touchdown record for even ONE of Brady's Superbowl rings or MVPs. Which will soon balloon to 3 of each.

Where the fuck do you see the haters? Everyone in here was praising the Pats for how they just beat down the Steelers.

You Pats fan are fucking insecure as hell.

Uhh... I'm not a Pats fan. But I recognize greatness when I see it. Check my posts, I was rooting for the Falcons and Steelers.

And as far as all the people hating, even people who praise the Pats for the most part have an irrational hatred of Tom Brady.

Your qb peaked at the wrong time and I think at this point our defense is playing better football. In back to back weeks we shut down the #2 passing attack and the #1 rushing attack. Overall, we match up better with the pats than the steelers did. They would never allow such a one dimensional team, with Rothlesburger playing like crap, to beat them. If the Pats decide to sit back, like i sead earlier, philly will eat them alive. Mcnabb has destroyed every team that has tried to spy him, or use that garbage mush rush. 2 and 3 man lines will not work. You cant scheme for his atheletic ability, he will make plays. Btw, Eagles under Reid have never lost a game coming off a bye.

You can hate someone, but still respect them for their skill. I hate the Pats and Brady all the more now for 2 AFC Championship embarassments, but I never underestimated how hard it would be to beat them.

Duce, I wouldn't underestimate Belichick's ability to scheme dude. I really think for the Eagles to win, their coaching staff will have to outcoach the Pats. Past success won't mean anything unless your coaching staff is up to the task.

I don't agree with that. Look up the box score, the Steelers had the edge in every statistical category of the game.....except one, turnovers. Sure, I credit the Pats for capitalizing on or after the turnovers. If you want to say that they were unprepared for Branch being a factor, then I'll buy that. I'll also add in the inability of them to get in Brady's face as being a big problem.

And the Steelers did manage 163 on the ground, so I don't buy the idea that the Pats totally stuffed their ground game. Heck, if the big Bus can break one for 25, there has to be holes there. Problem is you can't always exploit them when you're playing down by 21.

I don't know man, our team seemed unprepared in the first quarter. There were a lot of times when I saw the Pats just dominate the line of scrimmage, something I have not seen anyone else do on us this. Plus we also had the penalties and it just adds up.

I thought we did a good job of recovering in every aspect in the second half, but by that time it was just too late. We got most of our yards in garbage time.

I agree about the TOs though. I mean I never would have thought Ben would have thrown 2 killer INTs in the first half or that Bettis would have fumbled again. Hell I never would have thought we could have been stopped for one yard either......

Like I said I thought we got outcoached and outplayed. Pats were just a better team.

Well, Pats had the better QB and WRs, that's for sure. Although Hines did put up a good show again. God bless him. the offense would have been screwed without him the last two weeks.

Eminem

goddamit, Griese!
MICHAEL JEFFERY JORDAN is the GREATEST EVER

:lol :lol :lol

and yeah, if the pats win the SB, they are a definite dynasty, and a great one at that. got nothing but respect for 'em, even if I don't like 'em all that much. Still wanna see them win the SB though.

Next year for NE will really show just what level of greatness Belichick is on. He's gonna lose Crennel and Weiss...if they still dominate next year, guy might be one of the best coaches ever.
Of course, if the Pats fall next year, you know the blame will be placed on the loss of those coordinators.

Speaking of haters, my next two weeks will be consumed by flip-flopping over who I hate less and therefore want to win the Super Bowl.

When the Pats were dismantling Pittsburgh, I thought I'd be going for them. I'm already back to the Eagles, just because I want to see someone put something up on the Pats' defense. I think Indy played scared and the Steelers just played poorly. I'm starting to believe either the Jets or Chargers would have been stiffer competition than either team going up against the Pats....

On the other hand, I like the Terrell Owenslessness of the Pats, and there are a number of their players who I'm a fan of... but I'm still pro-Eagles today. I think I could live with an Eagles win if Owens was only on the sidelines for it and they wound up falling into mediocrity for the rest of his tenure there.

EDIT: I think this has the potential to be a great matchup, but I think the Super Bowl will ultimately end up as a blowout for one team or the other.
