Speaking of which, if NX is indeed revealed this week... Does it mean it'll be revealed with a Nintendo Direct announced one day or two before ?

You guys need to stop placing so much hope in Emily. She's being deliberately non-specific too.

Remember her on Mother 3 and female Link? How did they work out... We know she makes things up at worst or is inaccurate at best.

The bolded ones are either currently still in the air or were true at one point.

But add "SFA and Banjo for 3DS" to the list, which was completely made up and didn't have any factual basis.

When others join in and corroborate her claims, they typically can be trusted though.

We have no evidence of this. Perhaps at one point in development a female Link was seriously under consideration and a reliable source let her know. Things change all the time in game development. No need to assume she makes things up unless you can back it up.

Now that's unfair. We know Rockstar did consider GTAV for Wii U and had devkits, it turned out they did nothing.
Same for the female link. For both cases, she must got sources from inside dev teams at some point when both things were in consideration.

Starfox Adventures and Banjo coming to 3DS was made up. There were no discussions between Microsoft and Nintendo in 2011, Rare was fully focused on Kinect and didn't even have a handheld team anymore.
 
I'm not sure what all the anxiety is about. Nintendo will reveal the NX when they want to, when they are ready to. If the release is in March then they are shortening the time between reveal and release.

I'm looking forward to the reveal and I assume Nintendo is confident about their ability to communicate about the NX and generate hype on a shorter schedule.

I think it's weird that a lack of official info has brought people to the point that they are basically sniper-scoping a twitter account. C'mon, folks.

With the last 5 years, I question their ability to communicate and generate hype. Sure, Nintendo can reveal it whenever they want. Even one day after release. But that's irrelevant. We don't question Nintendo's right to do whatever they want. We question Nintendo's decisions. What all the anxiety is about is that they announced their new consoles comes out in March and less than 5 months before launch, we know crap.

Nothing. Not even a date for the reveal. Which basically means either Nintendo will stealth announce it with a Direct... Which is beyond pathetic. Or will announce it through an event 3-4 months before launch.

"The latest rumor states that Nintendo originally contacted Rare Ware to see if they may be interested in working on a remake of Rare’s GameCube game Star Fox Adventures. Apparently the project is still sitting on the shelf, but Rare could potentially take up Nintendo on their alleged offer at any time. If the lacklustre Star Fox Adventures doesn’t get picked up then the door could be opened to Rare making other titles for Nintendo’s handheld.

In other news, the same source confirmed that Banjo-Kazooie on the Nintendo 3DS is “not out of the question either.” Banjo returning to form on a Nintendo console is something that anyone who owned an N64 would love to see, and it would likely do really well. There are a ton of other games that Rare could release on the handheld, but none that anyone would want more than a new Banjo. Although, it would be awesome if they worked on one last Donkey Kong Country game too…"

Seems pretty normal to me.

Just to be clear Emily said NX would be revealed this week? Since she disagrees with Serkan Toto saying he was told NX wouldn't be revealed this week

I dont care who is wrong or right about when the damn thing will be announced, revealed....I just want to finally SEE the console and KNOW whats its all about...

You guys seem to forgot that Nintendo got a new console reveal pending!

I say worry less. And I don't mean that flippantly. I'm a big Nintendo fan and I'm still enjoying 3ds games now. Nintendo will announce the NX when they are ready to and I'm sure that will be fun for everyone. Until they do, I'm not gonna stress about their business or my lack of knowledge about the NX. Unless you enjoy the anxiety, just chill.
 
Jesus Christ Gaf never changes. You don't trust Emily? Great you do not need to post it 5 times a week in every NX thread made. We have had people you "trust" pretty much say the same things yet there is not even 1/1000th the amount of hate towards those people

Read the rest of the sentence you started highlighting. I said she makes things up *at worst*. At best she has proven to be inaccurate with her information.

Rare (or Rareware if you prefer) and Nintendo have had discussions about 3DS development. Nintendo and Rare still have a good relationship with each other, especially since Diddy Kong Racing DS did so well. Just like with the GBA and the original DS, Microsoft doesn’t seem to have a problem with Rare developing a 3DS game since none of Nintendo’s handhelds are in direct competition with any Microsoft products. Nintendo brought up the idea of a 3DS enchanced port of Star Fox Adventures, but nothing is in development. Basically a port with extra enhancements, similar to Rare’s Diddy Kong Racing DS for the Nintendo DS. Don’t be surprised if Rareware gets 3DS development kits by the end of this year. Banjo-Kazooie on 3DS is not out of the question either. Microsoft thinks that if some of Rare’s games do well on Nintendo’s handhelds, then it may lead to Nintendo gamers buying Microsoft systems to play Rare’s games.

They didn't discuss this, their relationship pretty much ended after the Golden Eye fiasco and Microsoft shutting down the handheld division. Subsequently, Rare focussed on Kinect titles for Xbox 360 and Xbox One, and the studio heads had no intention of moving the strategic focus. This only changed after the failure of Kinect Sports for Xbox One, but the new focus also did not involve Nintendo at all.
Everything about Nintendo suggesting Microsoft to port SFA and Microsoft loving the idea of Banjo on 3DS is nothing but fan fiction. At that time, Microsoft did not think about reviving Banjo after it failing hard on Xbox 360. Not to forget that there weren't any resources for 3DS development available at Rare, with the entire studio as well as contractors being busy on Kinect software.

If you need further evidence for the bad working relationship between Microsoft/Rare and Nintendo at that time, the delisting of the DKC games and the year-long delay of the DKL VC games should give you some indication. These issues got however resolved some time ago, and now both the DKC and DKL games are back on VC.

Nonetheless, for a rumour in 2011 I cannot find anything that's based on reality in there, apart from Nintendo being happy about the DKR DS sales. Entirely made up.

I said this earlier, but I don't think it's unfair to treat those as wrong.

The context which she reported those events (particularly Link and GTAV) means that at best, she seems to have unreliable, out-dated contact with the industry.

I read everything you said, I just strongly disagree with the part I highlighted. I'm reading into that Star Fox Adventures rumor and I don't think there's any evidence of that not being true either, I'm sure Nintendo meet with lots of developers to discuss possible projects.

That'd be crazy if so...but I doubt it. Gamexplain has been pretty busy with reporting Pokemon rumors lol.
 
Emily has gotten many things right, her being so confident about the NX along with the EG rumours, other sites confirmation etc. makes it hard to believe it won't be the Nvidia Hybrid.

Sadly the Trev PS4+ machine is most likely just wishful thinking IMO.
