I feel like Nintendo needs to take Splatoon's success and run with it in every way. Best story of this gen among the Big Three, imo.
Also, re-imagining popular genres in creative ways could be the NXs claim to fame, potentially.

Oh, they would. I mean it doesn't paint a great picture. Only Super Mario Run is a safe bet at this point (until it's delayed or something). FE and AC mobile games delayed. The 5th mobile game doesn't even make it by the end of FY. No NX info will just through this FY into bigger uncertainty.
But it's not like Nintendo has been very communicative since Kimishima stepped in, so it wouldn't surprise me that much. I don't understand how they think they can be successful acting like this, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I found stealth not particularly fun though, but maybe Nintendo can make it interesting. Mark of The Ninja is the only stealth game I truly enjoyed.

You never know with this damn company. When you always came expecting the worse with them, they always deliver big time. It happened with Splatoon, and more recently with Zelda BOTW. Just hoping the same for this new IP if it turns out to be true of course... I honestly don't believe any of Emily rumors anymore. She lost credibility from me since the Mother 3 thing about being released during E3 and stuff.
But I like to suffer so here I am anyways.

We'll see. Gonna need a lot more than weirdness to match Sploon. Innovative and incredibly fun/addicting core gameplay mechanics complemented perfectly by memorable and cohesive audio/visual presentation.
Not that I have any issue with them trying to make more games of that quality. Reach for the stars bby. Nintendo could do with a new suite of major franchises.
BOTW still needs to prove itself. Zelda team and open world haven't always been a harmonious duo, and this is on a scale they've never done before. Though they sure have had a lot of time to polish it up lol.
