Just did the codes for the sponsored cars on the North American Xbox 360 version. They are case sensitive (no caps) and need to be entered as:

No combination of spaces or capitalization I tried would unlock the Micromania car for me.

what's funny about the case sensitive thing is that the codes are all presented with caps in their respective locations. For example, Best Buy:

I can confirm that the PS3 version works the same way.

Wow, Paradise is going to be an... odd purchase. The demo didn't do that much for me but that may be a case of limiting the features too much. However, the reviews seem to be mainly very strong.

I'd like to correct a statement I made earlier in this topic. The 360 version of this game is just as well optimized as the PS3 demo. In the final retail 360 version I was unable to recreate the screen tearing and frame drops I found consistently at "trouble spots" in the 360 demo. This is the most impressive multiplatform development I have ever seen. Kudos, Criterion, kudos.

Other thoughts:
I just won a challenge that instead of unlocking me a car right away, it created a rival in that car that drives around the city. When I came across him, chased him down and took him out I got his car. I found this surprisingly cool.

Why Avril Lavigne? Why?

I haven't down many events; I'm having fun just exploring the city. This is Crackdown in a car.

Interestingly enough, what you described is almost exactly what many longtime Burnout fans (myself included) have been clamoring for them to implement in single-player, yet they stubbornly refused to do it!

I just want to go to the map screen, pick a point, and race away. Why, oh why couldn't they have allowed this for single-player? Because they feel its too "video gamey" and not "realistic"? It doesn't seem to be a big deal for them to offer this "video gamey" convenience for multiplayer. Nice lack of consistency there.

Well, since they've already made this concession for part of the game, then I suppose I can consider putting the game back on the "buy" list when they inevitably patch it into the single-player mode (hopefully soon). Until then, no sale.

May I have a 100% confirmation you cannot map the acceleration/brake functions to anything other than the arguably better Sixaxis triggers?

Also, is the mugshot storage thing possible on the 360 version as well?

In case it hasn't been mentioned, the Australian release has been put back two weeks to Feb 7th for no apparent reason. I guess they thought it would sell better if it was released the same day as Devil May Cry 4, Lost Odyssey and Turok :/

Then again, I'd get it too, if it weren't for the fact that I need my 360 at school for Rock Band and I don't wanna bring both systems :(

burnout 2 had full racing in multiplayer. Not sure how many AI cars where in there, but me and my brother definitely raced that a lot splitscreen

I'm pretty surprised with this one, since it's EA and they're usually really good with Australian dates. At least it's only two weeks, I suppose, and not a month or more. Still, no idea why we have to wait. Maybe they're changing DJ Atomica for us - he's equally annoying, except now for us he says things like "Sweet, mate!" or "That's not a crash! This is a crash!" incessantly :lol

LOL, that's why I imported a Wii!

But we've got Burnout Paradise, Devil May Cry 4, Lost Odyssey, Turok and The Club all on the same day as of now. Crazy.
