Survival is a hoot. I like the strategy involved. We never seemed to pull off an ammo run; I think it'll take some time to get a good feel for when you can gun it.
The survival interface is pretty nice too; jumping from level to level is great, and I never really felt bogged down with it restarting after we died.
Also, I have mixed feelings about the friends only leaderboards. It's nice that they're actually relevant, but it would be good to see how everyone is doing.

My high point so far was shooting a cache of like six propane tanks. It was the best explosion I've EVER seen in the game.

Short review:
Zoey is really ugly.
Survival is really carpal-tunnel inducing. We got four minutes on two levels. I really don't like the enhanced 4-second stun time from hunters or whatever. It's nice that they don't send more boomers.
Painful to play though, especially with my wrists/arms.
I haven't played the new vs maps, hopefully they're good.

Oh, and I've never seen my 4850 get so hot playing left 4 dead. It's up at 64% fan speed now, and I had to keep it there to stay around 70C.

Yeah, this HAS to go. It's totally obnoxious and it's area of effect is way too big. I got pushed back from a hunter pounce next to the med kits at Last Stand while I was standing on the roof next to the ladder. Lame lame lame. Everything else is great though.

Managed 6 minutes on the DA:construction site with some friends a bit ago. I wasn't terribly focused as I had some distractions, but we plan on trying out some of the other levels later. One thing I can say for certain is that teamwork is required far more in Survival than it is in either VS or Co-op.
Loving the update. Can't wait to play some more in a couple hours here.

Played the 360 version and wow so many players online! Every time some quits the party another person takes the place.
I know that for PC DLC for these types are usually free, and I am glad that Steam and EA (yes BFBC and AOT content is free) are the only few companies on 360 that does not want to fuck us over for 800 points for maps.

theres def a glitch on lighthouse. you can survive quite long if you get a little luck.
After playing Versus and Survival for around 14 hours on and off, I'm not really a big fan of Survival honestly. I suppose it's fine to mess around with while you're waiting for someone, but I think it really ramps up too insane too fast to be much fun IMO.
Now that I actually have a computer (laptop) that can play games really good, I'm soooo tempted to double dip on PC, but I only know people here who play on PC, not IRL
Fuck, I've been playing so long I can't shut the game out of my head. Even though I'm sitting in a quiet room now, I keep hearing hunters shrieking, the tank music, or one of the characters calling out something :lol

Definitely digging survival mode. Maybe it's because it's a new mode or because people are more dependent on others than ever, but i'm happy to see less people getting kicked for dumb reasons. The fact that they put a limit on how much you can melee as a survivor before you get tired is good - there were way too many spots in versus where people could just hide in a corner and swipe without taking any damage. I didn't really notice that the shockwave from hunters lasts longer so, so far, it doesn't really bother me.
yeah, i saw that on the leaderboards and was wondering that, too. Only a few hours earlier the top time was just 18 minutes or so.

Ok, first non-server crash we lasted about 8 minutes. I died around 6:30 though..but it gave us all the silver medal thing. Next map we tried (terminal) we made it past the 10 mark though!

I guess that says more about the people you consider friends than the leaderboards feature. Being friends only, so far all the times I'm seeing are pretty legit. It's a nice feature, and if nothing else I'll always be trying to beat my own personal best.
