Nah lol, I took a break for a few hours.AstroLad said::lol have you been playing all night? If there's any recent game to make me do it, it's this one. I've had barely any time to truly dig in, but I always get an invite around 3 A.M. and get so tempted. Good thing the weekend's coming up finally.
I am ready for a The Thing inspired campaign.Stitch said:![]()
haha oh i hope this will be a real campaign

We were heading along the huge bridge at the end of I think the 4th map. I was like "YEAH, WE'RE ALMOST THERE GUYS, KEEP GOIN!" Then.........the other team has a tank waiting at the end for us.
Fortunately, most of had auto-shotguns, so we pretty much laid a full force of that on him where he couldn't do anything before he died. Afterwards, my friend was like "GOD I HATE YOU GUYS AND YOUR AUTO SHOTGUNS"

Is there any reason the demo was pulled?CrazedArabMan said:Yeah they did, but the demo still works online for the people who have it. Like Me, until I get the real game next friday.
I know you can do it in specific maps, but I mean like a whole chapter of the HL2 single player or something.EmCeeGramr said:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmOz0Oowl-M&feature=related

Although for "true" L4D maps, I would assume that we'd just have to wait for the Source SDK to be updated with the tools for making them. I'm sure it'd be possible.

If you're talking about 360: hit the guide button while in game and got to "voice" and change the settings there.ItsInMyVeins said:I guess this isn't really the thread for it, but I'll ask anyway since I bought the headset because of this game.
How do I change the settings so that I only hear talk in the headset? As it is now I can hear myself when I say anything, and I hear the sound effects and etc in the headset too.

Zzoram said:That's including Steam sales. At least, if the Steam statistics tracker publicly available is to be trusted.
Well, 35,000 is just the most number of people logged on at the same time playing online. Steam sales make up AT LEAST 25,000 sales (given the number of people online 1 hour after the game came out), and at least 10,000 retail sales.
It's more than likely that the actual sales are more like 100,000+ total on PC at the moment, just that not everyone plays at the same time.
Think about it, if 35,000 people were playing at once at 8pm and that was the peak, but there's 20,000 people playing it at 5am, they likely aren't the same people.
This might sound weird, but actually muting the microphone control in the Windows Sound Level adjuster works for some people.ItsInMyVeins said:I guess this isn't really the thread for it, but I'll ask anyway since I bought the headset because of this game.

That might have been the fastest I've seen a tank go down in Versus mode. :lolVolcynika said:Oh yeah, something about last night's Vs match on Blood Harvest (Crooked Rain was there).

I played No Mercy last night, and I could see that there were new passageways/climbable things for human infected and the finale had remodeled buildings.aeolist said:What's to playtest? No Mercy and Blood Harvest are the same in Versus and Campaign, it's not like they made any balancing changes. If it works for one it should work for the other.
CrookedRain said:I have to say that some of the achievements are disappointing for this game. It seems like a lot of them are basically begging you to earn them on some low difficulty because they are impossible to get on expert. Yes, that is about the only complaint I have about this game. God, I love this game so much.
I feel like such a bad ass when I'm on a team with M.J. Doja and Pillowknight in Versus mode. Those guys are simply awesome to play with and we pretty much always seem to be on the same page. We felt so bad with how well we were playing together we just had to split up last night to make it competitive.
This is what made us decide to split up for the rest of the night:

Final Flight is an all new Left 4 Dead movie that features an extensive new storyline with a rather unusual setting and a pretty generous portion of old-school sci-fi/horror trash. After numerous fights against the Infected horde, the Survivors are on their way to the Pluribus Space Center, a huge aerospace facility on the very top of a plateau, somewhere in the state of Colorado. Knowing about an intact space shuttle that was previously used to transfer visitors, employees and other passangers to the Pluribus Orbital Station - an experimental, fully self sustained installation with hundreds of jobholders directly above earth - the Survivors set out for their ultimate challange to get aboard. Unfortunately this isnt the easiest task. The whole facility has been run down by Infected and so the Survivors need to fight their way through the spacious parking area and the Pluribus Space Center itself. Finally they need to reach the very top of the launch pad to get into the space shuttle.
Will the Survivors catch their final flight off this doomed rock? Does anyone of the Survivors know how to operate a space shuttle? And most importantly, why does no one at the Pluribus Orbital Station answer their distress calls?
I started getting so used to playing with them that I think I took them for granted. Whenever I'm on a team with other people now, I always miss them. One thing people need to realize in Versus mode is that you need to keep on moving. You can't sit around like you do sometimes in campaign mode or you will just get overwhelmed. It's probably one of the most frustrating things to me right now.1-D_FTW said:I really expect after everyone has played a couple hours of versus mode things will get better. This game has a high learning curve and nobody knows exactly what they should be doing the first couple times they're playing (unless there are idiot savants at this game, but I'm thinking they've probably just played a couple hours already.)
I've wanted to tell a couple of people, "Fuck you" for their bullshit talk. My God, the game's been out 2 days and not everyone has played 10 hours of versus mode. I've spawned as the tank one time, and that entire time was filled with a person/people yelling into my ear.
