What a great fight. I think the problem is that back then, we only had small doses of Naruto being very emotional like that (which is why this fight had so much tension to it) but now its always like that.
The way it could be better is if Naruto becomes cold to Sasukes ways (kind of like Sakura?) and works toward doing exactly what he said back then, "Even if I have to break the bones in your arms and legs, I will stop you". Cold to his ways, but you can still see its eating him up.

Some people certainly do hate on Naruto just for the hell of it, but the series really does suffer from the Sharingan fetish. If Izanagi had nothing to do with the Sharingan, this fight probably could've been really cool. But even then, this fight really served little purpose other than to give Sasuke another fight.
This chapter WAS a major improvement though, I'll give you that. It just shows you that Naruto isn't completely terrible when it's more about the world and history that Kishimoto created, rather than his Sharingan fetish.

I don't think I've ever hated a character as much as Akainu, so I agree. It's like he's not even trying to be a force for good.

well, i'd say the whole fact that aizen had to magically turn into kenpachi to prevent the series from ending when she decided to fight is good evidence for why she's haxx. She's yorouchi with a kill em all move and if that doesn't work she still technically has flash cry for the next time someone tries to kenpachi her.

I agree. It's such a double standard that it's bullshit. We've discussed it before. Yeah, we critique, but that's part of the reason why this thread is popular. Look back in the previous pages, there is discussions about it and theories about what could happen in the chapter. It just seems to me that the people who are fans of the series just don't like reading the complaints.watervengeance said:

I think he did the manga adaptation for Eureka. I don't think he had anything to do with the anime but I could be wrong. The artsyle in both are pretty clearly inspired by the the E7 anime though.

Last Order isn't as good as as BA. But its definitely worth reading if you like battle manga. The art is also much better than in Battle Angel. I think it has better characters, Sechs the twins and the Vampire. The vampire arc is one of my favorite arc from either series. It does suffer from pacing issues. The original was pretty fast paced while LO has been pretty much one long tournament arc.

Now take a look at what's being shown here. The crater's in the middle of the bridge. The perspective is very cleverly hiding Karin's body.

I don't think Ace will die, he's definitely in trouble though. I like Akainu a lot. The guy's a real arsehole, and I really like that about him. He's brutaly efficient and knows what it takes to get the job done. Plus he has an extremely powerful Devil Fruit. Fuck my theory on Blackbeard killing Whitebeard, I want Akainu to do it, and have him take over Sengoku's position as Fleet Admiral.
