I can totally see Oda pulling an "you activated my trap card/sharingan" here and having his Logia fire being hotter than magma

I'll forgive him for it if he does because he doesn't live off those like Naruto/Bleach do

If not, I look forward to what Luffy does

This is exactly what I was thinking of when I saw those last two pages. Except I don't think Luffy can kick his ass at this point... he will use haki next chapter and will get some shots in for sure. I'd be surprised if he's able to beat the fuck out of him.

Then again, Oda has succeeded in surprising me for the past n chapters, so who knows :lol

Some people certainly do hate on Naruto just for the hell of it, but the series really does suffer from the Sharingan fetish. If Izanagi had nothing to do with the Sharingan, this fight probably could've been really cool. But even then, this fight really served little purpose other than to give Sasuke another fight.

This chapter WAS a major improvement though, I'll give you that. It just shows you that Naruto isn't completely terrible when it's more about the world and history that Kishimoto created, rather than his Sharingan fetish.

I think this is the most disappointing part of the Naruto manga. Its an interesting world that could go on and on considering we barely know much about the other countries and their ninjas. Instead we're stuck with new Sharingan abilities every week and crappy Sasuke talks about eyes.

Although we know that it is true; words can not describe my anger at the fact that of ALL the characters on that battlefield that it was Toshiro Hitsugaya to actually strike through Aizen! What is up with that!

Us top manga posters need to get on the ball. It takes our top 26 posters to make up half the posts in this thread(with at least 273 posts each), whereas the gaming side's Rock Band thread only needs 11 posters(with a whopping minimum 2651 posts). Furthermore, the RB thread's highest posters have comparable post amounts, whereas Angry Grimace carries us by a wide margin. I know we can make our corner of OT the most exclusive and unfriendly on GAF.

I thought it was weird that Rewrite was trying to stop us from complaining about shit, then I noticed he's a double agent for the rock band thread. He knows that we're creeping up on them, and is actively trying to prevent us from getting into scarily long conversations that are guaranteed to only consist of our core posters. Oh, I see your games.

No matter how broken Aizen is, he will never be strong enough to outplace Hitsugaya is character rankings. It makes me wonder what Dragon Ball Z would have been like if Mr.Satan was the most popular character.

Yeah, this chapter is much better than the last one. I'm thinking she'll ask gon to let her take the girl somewhere, but I doubt he'll let that fly. All of a sudden she seems so much weaker than when she was introduced, though.
 
Hunter x Hunter

Well if anyone was still unsure of Gon and Pitou fighting, this chapter should erase all doubts. I've said it before, but intimidating Gon is awesome. Great chapter.
 
Damn it all to hell, I'm liking Hunter x Hunter again. Not like, I think it's great or anything, I'm just beginning to like it a little bit. Again. Then it'll no doubt go into another hiatus just as... forget it.

One Piece:

I can't help but wonder if Luffy will go batshit insane and we'll get a shot of Sengoku going KEIKAKU DOORI with a knowing smile on his face. Ace's execution was way too drawn out, although it could just be Oda being Oda.

Negima:

Stuff happened and a bunch of no-name scrubs from the Magic World 'died'--but they could just be illusions and the magic world was just one giant illusion as well. Who knows.

Where are these Hitsugaya fans, how is he so popular?! Hes just some elementary looking kid with spiky silvery hair and an ice dragon! When will this series go back to making sense, lol

The only manga I really actively follow is Naruto, so my contributions are very limited. I do read the occasional Bakuman though, and some Shoujo that I'm sure no one here would be reading anyways.

It's up on onemanga, and I just read the first chapter. Seems like a kinda iffy premises, but it was decent none the less. And the girl isn't actually naked. Not sure why she was made to look that way... actually I do.

Forgot to mention that I love the design for the Crimson Man. Maybe not the most original but definitely awesome looking.

Caring about how many posts you have is completely irrelevant anyway and you know this. And I wasn't trying to stop the complaining, I was simply calling out the double standard that people have in this thread. You know you're always welcomed to join the RB thread God's Beard. ;)

I've been thinking about trolling poligaf a little but I've heard thats supremely dangerous and that looks like a hardcore bunch at the top. I realized manga-gaf doesn't have any trolls. Its the nicest place on gaf.

I wonder ff a person heals (like if Ace recovers from the fist in his stomach) will their piece of paper regenerate? It wouldn't make sense if the paper stays burnt even if he recovers...

I'll join the RB thread when Harmonix decides to update with some music instead of advertDLC and bullshit country packs. So basically, you've got nothing to worry about.

I remember when there were no volume releases in the united states. I used to go down to the comic shop and pick up the new singles for Dragon Ball and Ranma 1/2. I remember the first time I saw a Shonen Jump in an Asian market, it just blew my mind, and it was less than the price of 2 singles, which were about 3 bucks each. I'd be damned if I wasn't going to buy it, moon runes and all. I bought a Japanese dictionary and sat there after class in elementary school, translating the chapters of Hunter x Hunter and Naruto, before I even knew what they were. Hell, I didn't even realize Naruto was about Ninjas. I thought it was some treasure manga about collecting scrolls.

Does Ichigo need to go in? Couldnt he just fire off dozes of Getsuga Tenshou's? I guess its feasible but unlikely. The only way I even see Ichigo doing some type of damage is if he went into that second (resurrecion, I guess) form again.
 
Ah this is reminding me of why i love HxH so much, the way how the story is told is different from other shonens i read. Also while Gon is probably going to get his ass racked i must say him being intimidating is freaking badass.

They weren't no name scrubs. They were a bunch of pedos. :lol All those girls are still 14.... and the only people that "died" were those 2 old dudes that were into Nodoka and Ako, a creepy lesbian, and a Furry wearing a maid outfit.
