Um, that's not the correct way to look at it at all.

Just look at those eyes! They almost look real :O

Well, it's kinda exploiting how the netcode works. Only the host can trigger certain events, for instance cutscenes. And I noticed that you weren't stopped by some invisible wall at the start of 6-2, but you couldn't move farther because the cutscene triggered. So what I did was play as client and move as close as possible to the cutscene trigger, and then tell the host to lose connection (it had to be abrupt, so the game couldn't send a "quit" message to the client. In this case the host simply unplugged his router). So after he lost connection, I could explore the area freely for about 30 seconds until the game timed out the connection.DarkUSS said::lol
What's wrong with her nose? It looks normal to me.
Btw how did you manage to "bypass" the QTE-cutscenes in the helicopter crash area and on the cargo ship, Sectus?
it always registered for me. if you're playing with a co-op buddy, they might be missing the cues, hence failing the QTE eventklee123 said:Hey guys, I'm tackling pro mode and I'm up to 2-3 against the boss and I'm having a lot of trouble. When he does the attacks where you can avoid with QTE buttons, it doesn't seem to always register. It there something wrong with my game, or was that intended?

strange. I can't say for sure, but I don't remember the QTEs being any harder on Pro than on Hard or Normal. Might be a bug?klee123 said:The thing is that I have no problems on Normal and Hard. It's only professional where the timing window feels so strict.

If you loved RE4, you will love RE5. Can you remember the village scene from RE4? Or the slow paced village parts of chapter 1/2 of RE4? Those play very very similar to the demo of RE5. But as with RE4, the entire game isn't like that. It's very varied, and there's no reason for you to dislike RE5 if you loved RE4 (unless you despise coop, in which case you'd be very silly).Dice said:So I love Resident Evil, yet I only finally got around to playing RE4 when it was on Wii. I loved it sooo much. I was hyped about this, but I played the demo and completely hated it.
Is the demo a good show of what it's like, as IGN says?
Using a stupidly expensive capture card. And bleh about spoilers. It's 3 months after the game's release date, if I wanna post pretty screenshots I will do so >ravien56 said:wow nice screens man, how did u end up taking them? also, they are pretty spoiler and go figure urs is the first post of the page :lol :lol
how the fuck did u not end up zooming in on some tits or ass? i salute u

Zenith said:Sorry, but I think it is rather stupid. Buying one for characters you like, ok. But buying every single one and not even taking them out the packet is silly. Do they even like figurines or is it just because it has the Resident Evil name on it? Like buying the NTSC, NTSC-J and PAL versions of every Resi game, it's pointless and goes past simple enthusiasm to OCD completionism. Most of the times there's no content difference. I doubt you'll even play each them all the way through. Why get it? A pointless waste.
It's still pretty ridiculous to buy so many re-releases of Code Veronica for this "reason".cvxfreak said:I collect RE games from different places because I love media packaging. Shows a difference in design preference, and it makes it easy to refer back to any version when necessary. And it's a cheap hobby.

You can get the media / designs from the internet if you really wanted to, so am I lead to believe you collect spend this money just to own boxes of games?
I just think spending money for different box arts can be a little ridiculous but, as you said, each to their own I guess.LiK said:i understand his rationale, some people just want all the official stuff. it's like guys who buy variants for the same comic or DVDs but the only difference is the cover. to each they're own.

The Frankman said:So... no one else around here just started the game or is early in RE5? I wouldn't think 2-3 months after release date that people would be done with it already. After playing the first Chapter I think I get it... this game is going to be short. REAL short. Mind-numbingly short. And that's a goddamn shame, I'd trade in the improvements in the visuals in a second for RE4 (hell, even REC:VX)-type length.
It's still too short, or at least very unevenly paced. I remember the struggle I had initially to beat Chapter 1 of RE4, and while I did have some "OMG WTF moments"_Alkaline_ said:Eh, it's not that short. Just imagine RE4 without the castle except with a longer Island and you have RE5's length. Which is still pretty long. RE5's length really isn't an issue.
Chapter 1 is the shortest chapter in the entire game. The game is shorter than RE4 overall, but not by much. The Frankman said:It's still too short, or at least very unevenly paced. Oh btw, I really didn't like the Island in RE4. Crappy non-RE music after nailing the ambiance in the Village and Castle.
