LeBron loves his girlfriend. There is no other woman in the world he’d rather have. The problem is, Dwyane’s not a woman.
That episode was awesome.

Wish Geoff Johns could write them all.

How many times has the barn been rebuilt?

:lol

It's not the show's fault at all. I really wish they had the same type of budget they had in the first four seasons.

I'm rewatching season 1 and I miss seeing a lot of big field shots and actually filming scenes in the city, rather than one obvious city set.

I think the show is down to one city street, barn, interior ground floor Kent House, stock footage of the talon, interior of Isis office, Lex's office and the fortress.

Why don't they just do with the old Lois & Clark show use to do. Worked fine for them and I know Smallville has a bigger budget then that show.

I to miss having a lot more locations. It's kind of generic and stale to see the same sets used each and every episode and I continue to hope that this will change but so far it has not. I still can't understand why they can't just film in regular city streets though like any other show out there.

I enjoyed tonight's episode. One of the best episodes for this season and I absolutely love all of the comic references. It feels like Smallville is slowly inching towards the Superman saga and it's about dang time. :D

Of course, if anyone is interested, here is a trailer for the next episode:

Looks like it will be good and I really like the actor who plays Martian The Manhunter. He does a good job with that role.

love on your sleeve
In the comics, The Legion were instrumental in teaching Clark what it means to be a superhero. I wish there was more of that in this episode.

Good stuff otherwise. Liked that they actually had their Legion codenames.

Really liked the episode tonight. Loving the season so far, so much of an upgrade from last season, already. And like others have said, the generic locations are getting really old. I remember Lois & Clark having a lot more different locations, and less FX.

I DVR'd but didn't watch yet. Me and my 2 boys have been netflixing Smallville seasons and they preferred to watch 2 eps from the season 4 disc tonight. The one where Cloe finds out about Clark; also in season 4 (I had forgotten this) was Mtzptlk!! But the ancient witch crap is also in season 4, and its pretty stupid.

Anyway, I read the prior comments and (being a L-of-SH fan since the 70's) I'm really excited about watching it now. Tomorrow!

Being the biggest legion fan on the planet, I am pleased.

Wish he would have used the ring at the end though. Even if they never showed the future.

Wow! Really an awesome episode.

All the Superman references has me chillin. I hope one day we get to see them come to fruition.

An the last few seconds. FUCK YEAH :D

I hope to christ we see Clark finally fly off superman style in the last ever episode (which I hope is season 9).

I loved this episode as it never once tried to be pretentious or dark, it was just cool comic book characters on screen. Also Chloe was strangely super hot in this episode but only when she was evil...

What books do Legion fans recommend if i want to get into the series? I prefer to read trade's rather than individual issues.

I totally agree. I've been down on Smallvilee for quite some tme now but I really anjoyed this episode and I don't evene know anything about the Legion. It just shows what a good writer can do on this show.

This episode was very good, one of the best in this season [and this season is the best of them all!]. Cant wait to see season finale, some epic shit is bound to happen.

Just watched it and was not disappointed! Wow, good way to fit in the founders of the Legion into Smallville. I have some questions.

First, I found it very interesting how the Legion had never heard of Chloe. THey assumed she must have died, or perhaps changed her name. Does any uber-Superman mythos nerds have a clue where this might all go? (I was thinking she might go to the future with the Legionaiires and become a version of Brainiac-5, but thankfully no).

Also, Lana's future. The Isis Foundation - is that just a smallville show thing? What exactly IS Lana's future in the comics?

Either she'll marry Pete, or end up as Butterfly Girl?

Just finished watching it. Great episode. Liked how they adapted their uniforms.
So, after rebuilding The Barn (again), I suppose Clark will, sometime, restore the Fortress :D.
And Lana was bearable without the teen-love-soap-opera-relationship-drama.

Very cool news.

The February 5th episode, "Requiem", is going to feature the first appearance of the Smallville version of Toyman.

SMALLVILLE BRINGS IN ANOTHER DC VILLAIN — An explosion at LuthorCorp kills all the Board members and injures Oliver (Justin Hartley), who was there to announce the merger of his company with LutherCorp. Oliver believes that Lex is responsible for the blast, but Clark (Tom Welling) and Lana (Kristin Kreuk) learn that the bomber is Winslow Schott (guest star Chris Gauthier), a toymaker and former Queen Industries employee with a grudge against Oliver.

And even more awesome: it was rumored, but now it's confirmed. "Hex", episode 17, will bring Zatanna into the Smallville world.

And this is the girl playing her:

There has been lots of good news and one sucky piece of news this week. First the bad news:

Exclusive: 'Smallville' bosses mull 'Melrose' remake. Is Clark safe?

Jan 19, 2009, 11:29 AM | by Michael Ausiello
Categories: Melrose Place, Smallville

The plot is thickening over at CW's Melrose Place reboot. On the heels of One Tree Hill boss Mark Schwahn's departure from the project, sources confirm that the net is now talking with Smallville show-runners Darren Swimmer and Todd Slavkin about shepherding the update.

It goes without saying that a likely complication in the talks is the duo's involvement with Smallville and the uncertainty surrounding the show's future. The net has not formally renewed Smallville for a ninth season, although Warner Bros. is already finalizing deals with the principal cast, including Tom Welling. Should Swimmer and Slavkin depart, fellow executive producers Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson would likely become the primary show-runners in season 9.
Schwahn's exit from Melrose 2.0 was announced last week at press tour. According to insiders, the exec was unable to close a deal with producer Paramount due in part to his existing committment to Warner Bros, which produces OTH.

What say you, Smallville fans? Are you willing to lose Swimmer and Slavkin if it means getting a super Melrose Place remake? Sound off below!

Basically the two top producers were offered a chance to helm the Melrose's Place remake which would mean steady work for them (opposed to just one more season of doing Smallville).

Looks like this will be a good episode. Some random spoilers for other episodes:

Power

UPDATED 1/21/09: Chloe walks in on Clark as he is rewatching Lana's "Dear Clark" video that we saw in "Arctic."
- Clark catches Tess snooping around the Talon apartment. Tess tells Clark that she is there because Lana has been poking around "secret LuthorCorp technology," which raises his suspicion.
- Clark learns that Chloe has been less than honest with him about something.

UPDATED 1/20/09: The new images released by The CW reveal that there will be more kissing between Clark and Lana in this episode.

Requiem

The CW's Official Description (Added 1/20/09): SMALLVILLE BRINGS IN ANOTHER DC VILLAIN — An explosion at LuthorCorp kills all the Board members and injures Oliver (Justin Hartley), who was there to announce the merger of his company with LutherCorp. Michael Rohl directed the episode written by Holly Henderson & Don Whitehead (#3T7464).

UPDATED 1/20/09: He's in and he's out... the CW's official description (above) confirms that Toyman is indeed involved with this story.

Infamous

UPDATED 1/7/09: Stephen Lobo plays Randall Brady, the Daily Planet's new City Editor who shares a scene with Tori Spelling's Linda Lake.

Turbulence

UPDATED 1/18/09: Clark tells Chloe that his recent "brush with celebrity" (in "Infamous") might mean that having a "double identity" isn't such a bad idea after all. The red-and-blue combo might just be saved for those occasions.
- Davis tells Chloe that she can't blame herself for what happened on her wedding day.

Hex

UPDATED 1/21/09: TV Guide's Matt Mitovich has confirmed that it is indeed Zatanna in this episode, and she will be played by an actress named Serinda Swan.

Eternal

UPDATED 1/19/09: Title Revealed. Please do not repost this on other websites without a link to KryptonSite.com. If you cannot place a proper link, don't repost this at all.
- This episode focuses on the origins of Davis Bloome.
- Erica Durance (Lois) does not appear in this episode.

Title: Unknown

UPDATED 1/19/09: Erica Durance (Lois) DOES appear in this episode.

The last three episodes of the season are pretty much undeveloped right now as the CW figures out whether or not Smallville will go onto a 9th season or end.

I hope they just renew the damn thing soon, with the announcement that it will be the final season. That way the entire season can be set up and planned out before hand, pushing Clark to finally become Superman.

My dream would be for them to hook the cast for maybe another three seasons. And have Clark become Superman next season and just go with that for a couple seasons. It would be a ratings success. But that obviously won't happen.

I just rewatched "Reckoning", the 100th episode, where Pa Kent dies.

That's seriously one of my favorite episodes, and that final scene is easily one of my favorite scenes in a TV show, ever. Beautifully shot and that damned Peter Gabriel song makes me tear up.

Cool ep so far.

The only thing that bugs me is that they seem to really be turning this missing Lex thing into an important plot, but he recently said in an interview he wasn't coming back. And that he heard they were using a body double for him and that it might not be fair to the fans to hope that he's coming back. : \

I like how the cops are calling them "capes". Sounds like superheroes are just now starting to pop up, around the same time and people are noticing it.

Oh, and holy Chun Li, Lana.

OH COME ON, SMALLVILLE! YOU WERE DOING SO WELL!!!

It was decent at best. I really like the concept of disgruntled cops getting back at "capes" but I found most of the scenes with the cops to be really boring. Also, Clark suggesting that wearing a vest is the reason the bullet ricocheted is just ridiculous.

I don't mind them flirting with the Clark/Lana romance again for a moment. It wasn't the romance itself that made people hate Lana. It was the fact that the writers didn't let her find out about Clark until season 6. And the fact that they wrote her into a terrible fucking storyline in season 4.

She was pretty badass in this episode, so I'm fine with it.

Besides, she only has two episodes left. Then she's gone from the show for good.

Cool episode though. Definitely one of the more mature Smallville standalones.

god damn Lana always ruins possible good eps for me. Granted, at least she's not completely useless as before.
