Saturn Girl, Lightning Lad, and Cosmic Boy are definitely in that trailer, and wearing not just their colors but their symbols as well. Also wondering if the guy in the mask might be... Steel?

You'll get a fight in the finale, that's for sure. Clark will no doubt beat the ever living crap out of Doomsday and in the process sacrifice himself to protect everybody. I mean did you see the end where Lois asked him why all of these bad things kept happening to them? The guy feels responsible for it all.Chamber said:You guys should know by now not to expect epic fight scenes. You might get one in the season finale. Maybe.
Also, there's no way Jimmy should still be alive.
Technically this is still mid season.Xamdou said:Great season finale, I haven't watched Smallville in a long time (I didn't even know Lana left the show :lol). Chloe has the star-studded role which is great and while I was skeptical of Lois Lane's acting abilities I was impressed especially in this episode. Lana making a comeback as well as the introduction of Doomsday means I'll definitely watch the next season of Smallvill!
Chamber said:Indeed. It'd be pretty cool if the season ended with the same image from Death of Superman.
Eh. If you think like that there's no reason to even watch the show. I know Clark isn't going to die just like I knew he wouldn't stay trapped in the Phantom Zone. Doesn't mean it can't be entertaining.Ripclawe said:I hope they don't because it would be boring tease into next season if there is one. Clark is not going to die so why bother trying to duplicate the storyline? I am hoping the new producers going in a different route with the doomsday/clark storyline and don't try to push it into next season.
omg rite said:Does anyone know what song that was at the end, by the way?
What worries me as a chloe fan is that she is not long for the show because they are moving on from Clark/Chloe to Clark/Lois(finally) which makes Chloe really expendable.

And considering that is up there as one of my favourite songs of all time...I have to say that this episode was fucking fantastic. I haven't liked an episode this much since...Lex/Lana Wedding or the 100th Episode.
It's also interesting that they use VAST both time when going into the mid-season finale.
Last time it was "VAST - One More Day With You" when Brainiac nuked Lana's brain.

omg rite said:How perfect was the song at the end of that episode? "I Grieve" by Peter Gabriel. I literally cried.

Yeah. Killing Pete is a little thing.
omg rite said:I have to say, the acting in Lana's death scene. Tom Welling did a great job.
omg rite said:Would be a better send off than his guest appearance last season, in probably the worst episode in the show's history. And I loved last season.
I hope not.Marty Chinn said:I thought Smallville was likely ending this season which is why they were doing this angle. I mean it seems to me that it would be the perfect way to introduce Clark as Superman because he has to finally expose himself in order to stop Doomsday which would be an epic battle in the series finale as well as introduce Superman to the world. Seems like it would be a great way to send off the show.

Nothing wrong with Pete gaining superpowers from Stride gum, in the Stride gum factory.omg rite said:Would be a better send off than his guest appearance last season, in probably the worst episode in the show's history. And I loved last season.
WrikaWrek said:Any reason why this bitch Lana had to come back and bring the suck with her?
Look producers, we don't care about this bitch, and we don't care about the supergirl bitch either.
Anyway, the episode has been bitchin, it's on the lana part now, so i'm kinda not giving a fuck, and posting on gaf.
Ashhong said:maybe if you watched instead of posting on gaf you would see that she did NOT bring the suck with her. just ugly hair
Yeah, NOBODY hates Lana more than I do but she was tolerable here.Ashhong said:maybe if you watched instead of posting on gaf you would see that she did NOT bring the suck with her. just ugly hair

Handy for Chloe though. She gets a new car every week.joshuagor44 said:Sooo much product placement in this show it's ridiculous.

Big Plans for Smallville
Is Tom Welling ready to hang up his Superman tights right before he gets fitted for them? Executive producer Darren Swimmer wants to keep going, now that Smallville is enjoying a ratings rebound, but reveals there are some issues with "actor availability." After 8 years playing Superboy. Tom 31, may undestandably be ready to fly off into grown-uproles.Consider Dean Cain was 27 when he began playing Superman on the 90's ABC showLois & Clark:The New Adventures of Superman, and Brandon Routh was just 26 when he took flight in 2006's"Superman Returns". (Repeated calls to Tom's reps seeking comment were not returned) The CW series has another challenge:It's starting to feel more and more like Lois & Clark, with Clark now working outside of Smallville in Metropolis at the Daily Planet alongside Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen. Coming to Smallville in early February is the villianous Toyman, a flamboyantly dressed classic DC villian who played on L&C first by Sherman Hemsley(the Jeffersons)and than Grant Shaud(Murphy Brown). Despite the similarites, Swimmer argues that "there's not much of resemblance" between the two series.
While acknowledging he's prepared for a series finale,Swimmer insists there are still a few speeding bullets left to fire off in the Superman mythology."Clark's now in full control of his powers and basically accepting the fact that he's going to become Superman. The formation of the dual identity is what he's going to be negotiating from here on out," he says . "He'll start to experiment." Hmmm..bifocals?A golden lasso? New hair mousse? We'll find out in a string of three new episodes beginning in February.
Some assemblange of the Justice League will return toward of the season's end .The Legion Of Superheroes-three 31 century visitors named Cosmic Boy, Lighting Lad and Saturn Girl--arrive on January 15 when Clark faces off againest an atomic ax-wielding baddie from the future called the Presuader. But instead of an ax, the CW might consider sending the Presauder in to meet Tom with a fistful of cash. If negotiations fail for a ninth season, Swimmer suggest a Smallville spin-off starring
Phill Morris[John Jones AKA the Martian Manhunter], who next appears January 22. Cracks the producer, " A Martian Manhunter Variety Hour might be fun!"
Clark might not be able to appear in the Superman outfit in Smallville's final scene since it could conflict with the big-screen franchise, according to Swimmer
Nah. He'll be vulnerable to sunlight or something and Clark will KO him into orbit with one punch.Napoleonthechimp said:You'll get a fight in the finale, that's for sure.
