All it means is Clark won't be visiting the 31st Century anytime soon... which, given this show's budget, would probably have been an impossibility anyway.
Doesn't mean they won't pay him another visit, though.
Overall good episode. Little disappointed that Clark stood up Lois at the end but other then that, great episode. The Legion is indeed coming back later this season.

Fucking awesome episode! I did miss the first like minute though. Was there any mention of Lana? That's my only issue, is that they kind of ignored what happened with Lana, though going not having Clark and Lois hook up this soon balanced it out well enough.
My friend and I were literally like "FUCKING CLARK, NO" when he put on the ring. :lol
I dunno, in his shoes, I'd probably feel the same way. He just saw what would happen if he told the world about himself. And knowing his secret has caused Pete to move away, his father's heart problems and then death, and Lana to die like 5 different times and then be infused with Kryptonite.
I might be a little insecure too. :lol
Is there any place to watch season 8 of Smallville online? It's not on Hulu. I'm almost half way through season 7 with my mom and waiting for the DVDs would suck.

just started it, and lois just found out! holy shit im pumped! please tell me this episode stays good...smallville is notorious for having amazing episodes that severely let you down. i wonder how they will backtrack from this though, obviously the whole world cant know...
fuck why is CK such a BITCH! ughhhhh his avoiding of girls he likes is so annoying. the ending felt just like the season finale when he watched lana go away to europe without saying goodbye. u stupid jackass.
really liking the overall chemistry of lois and clark though, it really felt like the good old lana and clark when they were talking in the barn before linda lake. good stuff
other annoyances: lana is talking and ur gonna time travel? really? come onnnnnnnnnnn. also linda lake was a horrible character, thank god shes gone.

that was a good episode...although considering the set up, i thought we would see more of Lois and Clark being together when she knew about his powers, i dunno.....it might of worked better if they spread it across two episodes
talk about the worst timing though, if Clark had put the ring on a second later....he would have known that Davis is Doomsday
i'm sure we will see something happen between Lois and Clark, even if she doesn't know his secret....they have to keep that romantic tension going for another season
Smallville Clark is such a douche sometimes, I swear. That ending reminded me a lot of some of the Clark/Lana material from the old days and that's not a good thing.
i still dont understand why he doesnt want to tell her. to protect her? lana eventually found out and nothing happened (well, i guess thats not true..) and lois is much more capable of taking care of herself. depending on where they go with this..i might be very angry at the repeated use of the same girl drama.
Yeah it's kind of generic to think that Clark could have went back in time and change anything that he wanted but at the very least, Clark realize and stated that time traveling has it's bad sides and it was only used as an emergency this time around. He even destroyed the ring afterwards so that he wouldn't be tempted to use it again.
As for why he didn't use the ring to go back in time and prevent Lex or Toyman from creating the Kryptonite bomb? Well who knows. There probably isn't a sufficient excuse for this scenario. It's one of those loopholes you just have to try and look past or come up with your own logical answers.
Chloe is only still alive due to random plot devices. Jor-El, time travel, the Legion, etc. Hell, looked like she even died yesterday before Clark used the flight ring.
Clark not wanting to tell Lois is about the only thing he did in that episode that didn't make me want to punch him in the throat.

i can see what your saying and i slightly agree. im just really tired of clark being in love but not able to get close because of his secret. its especially frustrating when they have an episode that teases what it would be like. i hated it on their 100th episode too when lana died. a glimpse of awesomeness that was then taken away. fuckers.
People actually liked this episode? I thought it was awful and utterly pointless. I knew what was going to happen the moment Clark decided to tell Lois his secret. Smallville writers go to hell!
I'm trying to recall the net effect of the story progression in this episode.
1.Torri Spelling is killed by Davis.
2. Legion ring is destroyed.
3. ?? - Something that I may have missed. In the proper timeline, did Torri tell Davis about Clark?
On point 1, I thought she was already dead prior to this episode. So, as far as I can remember, the net story effect is that there is no more Legion ring.
Seems like a bit of waste to devote an entire episode to that.
The CW has released the official description for the April 2 episode, "Eternal".
DAVIS BLOOME'S HISTORY IS REVEALED Tess (Cassidy Freeman) tries to kill Davis (Sam Witwer) by blowing up his truck. However, after he escapes, she realizes she needs help to destroy him and turns to Clark (Tom Welling). Tess reveals Davis' secret childhood with the Luthors and hints that she knows Clark's true identity. Meanwhile, Davis runs to Chloe (Allison Mack) for help. Posted on KryptonSite. James Marshall directed the episode written by Brian Peterson & Kelly Souders (#3T7468).
Before people jump to conclusions about Chloe tasering her husband who just got out of the hospital, it is speculated that Jimmy is heavily medicated and that he tells Chloe that he is going after Davis because he thinks Davis has been killing people and so Chloe sees him about to hit Davis when she tries to stop him (thinking he is nuts) by tasering him. The Doomsday graphics is pretty cool from the footage we got of this episode. There is also this ten second trailer showing Davis Bloome in a Cathedral among other things:
I'm sure we'll see the flying and Clois eventually. They got another season after this (possibly two more). I think these producers know what they're doing, if this season is any indication.
Also, holy crap, that clip is awesome. A couple things.
a) This might be my favorite version of Jimmy Olsen ever. And it sucks that he's so smart, but gets screwed over, whether it be finding out about Clark or being right about Davis (and no one will believe him because he's medicated). I really hope they give him a 22-episode contract next year, along with Lois. And if
Chloe bites the dust
, then they should
bring Kara back to have him get with her. Later in the season, obviously, after he has started to move on. I think they could do good with Kara now that the show is what it is now.
b) Who would have thought in their wildest dreams that freaking Smallville would manage to take the character of Doomsday, and not only get him right, but made him actually... interesting? Loved how Chloe's touch managed to calm Davis down from changing.
Great footage, the most intresting storyline so far seems to be how the Chloe,Davis,Doomsday arc will be played out.
It's also helped that they are played by two fantastic actors. Ditch Jimmy, just like Lana he's such a shit character just there for the mythology(and played by an equally bad actor.)

Agreed. I think she played a good Kara too, but her introduction to the Smallville universe was pretty rocky. She got used to Earth speech and the world WAY too fast. It just felt off. But it got better as the season went on.
I think the current producers/writers would do something good with her, putting her into this current Smallville world.
I think they missed a few opportunities that they could do with Kara, like seeing her on red K or silver K.
I'm rewatching the series with my mom, getting her caught up, and we're just about there. We watched Descent last night, Lionel's death episode. That was a damn good one.
Michael Rosenbaum will get to flex his funny bone as he's snagged a role in the currently untitled Justin Adler sitcom at NBC. The show will feature a family of adult siblings, and Nick D'Agosto (Heroes) will also be part of the cast. Michael plays a married middle sibling who freaks out over his recently adopted baby. The pilot will be shooting shortly.

i think i would have hated it if they used the whole "different K rocks" with kara. those episodes always annoyed me, except the longer story arc of Clark on E after he went to metropolis. i do think they could use her well now though
The music was so good, and that final shot where the sun started to part through the clouds.

Yeah there is still so much untapped potential on Smallville. The spoilers we are getting for the end of season 8 and some of 9 are nothing short from amazing. There is even talk of Kara possibly coming back for an episode later this season.
So what direction would you guys like to see taken for Smallville? What stuff do you want to see in the Smallville universe?
I'm actually surprised at how much I'm NOT missing Michael Rosenbaum on the show. His Lex is one of my favorite portrayals of the character yet but I guess after 7 seasons, he had ran his course. I'm guessing he knew it as well.

Rosenbaum probably would have left after 3-4 seasons if it were up to him, I'd bet. I say this because they really did less and less with him as the years went on, and it showed big time in his performance. He looked bored the last few seasons.
