^ This new trailer looks incredible. The footage is from the next three episodes and it's looking epic. I also like the Watch Tower reference for Chloe which is what a lot of fans wanted for her character. It also looks like they are trying to patch some loose ends from last season. Anyways, looks awesome! :D

I'm actually surprised at how much I'm NOT missing Michael Rosenbaum on the show. His Lex is one of my favorite portrayals of the character yet but I guess after 7 seasons, he had ran his course. I'm guessing he knew it as well.

i agree, however, he started to get annoying at some point in the show. his portrayal of a broken Lex looking for friends and family was excellent. once his and clarks friendship broke apart it got kind of old. i would have much preferred if they stayed friends.

edit: wow that trailer looks excellent. too bad those arent scenes from just this week, i want to see all of that! and was that
lois running at clark from behind with a weapon? maybe shes testing him and will find out after all!

Theory: That scene was in Hex in which Lois and Chloe temporarily switches bodies and Clark asks to be a normal reporter for the day. It is my guess that Chloe (who is in Lois's body) ran up to smack Clark to show Clark that he isn't any regular reporter. I could be totally wrong though. It's hard to say. Some of the rumors suggest a possibility that Clark may eventually fly soon or at least begin to get to that point.

What exactly happened with the Kara character? It didn't seem like she was around long, I wonder why that is.

Her last appearance was in "Bloodline" for this season and at the end she announced plans to leave Smallville because when she was in the Phantom Zone she heard rumors that Kandor might still exist and she wants to leave to try and find it and save the bloodline.

Realistically it was due to budget restraints and the expensive "flying" CG animations Kara's character uses.

Another reason was that (more of an opinion) Kara was more advanced then Clark Kent (being able to fly and such) and it made Clark look kind of bad having his cousin being more powerful then him.

EDIT:

Question: Smallville scoop, please! --Jason

Ausiello: John Schneider, Annette O'Toole, and John Glover are back! Sort of! The Smallville vets will appear via flashback in the April 2 episode, which delves into Davis' backstory. Is it old footage? New footage? CGI? No comment, no comment, and no comment! Oh, speaking of Smallville, click here to see Erica Durance in action as Stiletto!

Sounds to me like the Kents and Lionel Luthor may actually appear in this episode (flashback but with new footage).

One hour to go. Whose watching? :D
My brother is watching Ugly Betty, my mom will watch Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice after that, and then we'll watch Daily Show and Colbert Report.

I'll have to watch it online.

Almost positive it will just be body doubles. : (

There is some but he does a good job with the acting (in my opinion). The episode was solid but, like all of the episodes, the crappy budget really shows through. Next week's episode looks good. :D

the cgi of them in the plane and looking out of the pilot hole looked better than this weeks lost
when they were crashing
. man that looked like shit.

what was the point of jimmy taking 4 pills? more than 3 and he can get addicted...so what? either take 3 or take it all bitch!

Clark/Tess was fun and different, which is weird cus Clark has like the most boring track record ever concerning his lovelife.
Davis was amazing, he gets a lot of hate for no good reason, even in this episode he really is trying to make something good out of a terrible situation and his self-control is amazing when you consider that he's got the most powerful, evil entity inside of him.
Jimmy was a piece of shit as usual, the only good thing he's done is
end it with Chloe, she deserves much better.

Like a lot of people, I was kind of hoping Warner would relent on its Bats/WW ban for Smallville for the final season. Guess it's just not going to happen...

This was expected. Actually I am surprised that they are allowed to use everyone else. That's a pretty big deal right there. Also at least two Justice League members are returning for the season finale (besides Clark and Green Arrow). It has also been confirmed that the Legion is returning as well.

Some Smallville goodies:

Ausiello on Clark vs Doomsday:

Question: Any Smallville finale spoilers that don't involve the Grim Reaper? --Graham
Ausiello: The fight scene between Doomsday and Clark is going to be big. One might even call it ginormous.

So it sounds like the battle will actually be good and not watered down as many were expecting.

Ausiello on the Veteran character that dies:

Question: Any clues on the Smallville vet getting killed off in the finale? --Brad
Ausiello: The **r*** ***** ** *** *****.

Forum goers narrowed the statement to saying:

"The person dying is not *****"

The five letters could represent anything from Chloe to human. More or less still leaves us hanging.

Also two clips from tomorrows episode, "Hex":

Some fun facts:

Several Justice League members will be returning for the finale. There are at least two of them and that doesn't count for Clark and Oliver as they are show regulars. Rumors are that the two may be Impulse and Cyborg.

At least four Injustice League members will return for the episode "Injustice". This will be the first episode where they are together as the Injustice League. They are: Parasite, Fallout, Voltage, Plastique.

The Legion of Superheroes will also appear for the season finale.

Well that seems pretty much it for now. Enjoy! :D

Fuuuck.

After last year's lackluster and rushed-due-to-the-writer's-strike finale, this may end up being the best in the series.

I mean, a GOOD Smallville fightscene, between Clark and Doomsday no less, as well as the return of not just
some Justice Leaguers
, but the
Legion
as well? AND a major death? Damn.

But based on those stars, I'm confused. There are only two Smallville vets on the show now: Clark and Chloe. If it isn't Chloe, it can't be Clark, as he previously said this was a real death. As in, g'bye.

Would they bring back Lana again for the finale just to off her?

Two are indeed dying. One veteran, one not so much a veteran. Rumors are:

Chloe and Davis

As for flying, I think we will see it late next season. Probably as the series finale.

Haha. Few laugh out loud parts so far. Clark being a nerd on the roof was lol.

This is like the first lighthearted ep this season.

boooooo i was hoping chloes "up up and away" from the trailers was triggering his flight, not super jump.

and omg erica durance just looks better and better. her body in chloes clothes...holy shit

and lol @ the framing of the rules. good episode. epic ending

Zee totally jumped out of the Alex Ross painting!

Go Chloe! I would kill for her to appear in the comics but they won't allow DC to have her yet. :(

Last I read DC had plans to do it, but that they decided against it at the last minute, saying it just wouldn't fit.

On that note, I'm now starting to wonder about this Smallville vet that is
being killed off
, according to the EW.com guy. I think he might be fucking with us a little and that it's going to be
Clark (and Davis as the non-vet)
. Makes sense given the storyline. Obviously
he'd be brought back next year, but he would still die this year.
.

I mean they're setting up this whole Watchtower thing with Chloe now and there's a rumor that they're building a new set specifically for
the JLA
that will replace the Isis set next year. Why
kill her off
in that case?

Personally, I'd love for it to go in a different direction:

Instead of dying, Chloe is crippled in the season finale by Doomsday and becomes wheelchair bound next season. She runs the Watchtower under the name Oracle. I think they should literally make Chloe the Smallville universe's version of Oracle. It would make so much sense.

On that note, here's the final awesome scene from tonight's episode. There's a weird moment when it freezes, but it fixes itself.
