I don't understand what the FUCK is happening.

They need to cut that Storm sound sample, it sounds like a porn DVD is skipping

Probably a low mid-tier character,but Wong had to work hard for his win against Gief or Ryu.He would of destroyed the competition with his Rufus without dropping a round. :lol Granted,he's still working on his Fei and he missed opportunities to combo or punish here or there.

I can just imagine how deadly his Fei Long could already be if he could FAD into ultra which connect properly.Just fixing the ultra(full ultra animation initiated from the first hit) will make Fei Long a solid mid-tier character.I think Fei Long will be very good in SSF IV,perhaps being as good as he ever been.

However why do people overlook focus crumples as a means of landing the ultra?

There was no BS at all, Wong played exactly how everyone thought he would. Footsies are one of his best strengths and he simply used Fei in that capacity.

If scrubs want to get good with Fei, they'll have to get a grasp on fundamentals, since that's all he is really, no gimmicks, just straight footsies. He has a few tricks like the reset off one rekka into command grab, but those are few and far in between.

It's not overlooked, but rather implied since everyone can do that. Fei is a little more prevalent with it since his FA is one of the better ones in the game.

That reminds me of how Yeb plays Gen. Not too many gimmicks, just solid fundamentals and piling on the damage when he lands a MK.

For the most part yeah, but Yeb actually had a few gimmicks up his sleeve that no one knew about :lol :lol (namely crossup wall kick) It carried him through a few matches, especially the one against Choi. But I'm sure he won't get away with that in the next big tourney, so we'll definitely see even more improved footsies from Yeb.

I would want to disagree with you there, he does have the footsies and combos down to a sliver, but his jump alone counts as a gimmick to most people. Not to mention how much he uses his EX Oga cross ups on people without experience against it.

If Justin Wong had access to japanese arcades 365 days a year,he would definitively be one of the best. :D Given his natural talent for fighting game,I have no doubt he would be top 5.

Still,it's true that Wong is very strong with footsies and his knowledge of SF IV is great.Those Zangief didn't really stand a chance,even if the matchup is supposed to be in his favor.It's mostly thanks to Wong deep knowledge and fundamental that he made it look easier than it is. :lol

As for the BS,it's Wong himself who said that people do not know about Fei Long's BS.Although he didn't really use it much and he won cleanly.It's really nice to see Wong step out of his comfort zone with SF IV.

This is why he's one of my favorite top player in IV.He's just gonna come up with all these secret characters out of nowhere and he doesn't stick to his typical Rufus.

EVO 2K10 will feature SSF IV as the main event and more or less 33 characters,so it's going to be incredible to see what the pros can come up(I think we will see a lot of character diversity) with or pull off a secret weapon out of nowhere. :D

It's slated to come out next spring right? Won't it be too late for something like evo?

What? I'm watching Chris Hu vs Justin right now. When you go to the archives and watch the last broadcast, you're able to watch all of the recorded footage. It starts at the very end of the grand finals and you have to rewind from there.
