Eh, the stick craziness is very understandable for me...I'm not looking forward to having to use my EX2 to play this game, so I'm dying to get my TE stick as much as anyone else, I guess I'm just more like "whatever it'll come eventually." Still, every time I play HDR with my EX2 I die a little inside. Anyway I think it's more the general hysteria of freaking out over getting your copy when you're guaranteed to have one in less than a week that I find kind of bothersome.

I haven't seen anyone use Balrog (Claw) online.. it's mainly Ryu, Ken, Gouki, Gouken, and Abel (yeah!). Surprisingly not many Sagat abusers yet. I've played a lot of El Fuerte's too but I usually win since I can tell they don't know how to use him yet. Actually I got wrecked by an amazing Vega (Bison) last night too.

What part of my post do you have problems understanding? I want the regular stick, but since it will be shipped so late I thought to myself, "hey why not get the le stick," but the stick situation is so clusterfucked on amazon that you can't even buy the damn thing still and I've been on the email list since early january just in case the te stick did become available again.thirtytwoutside said:

Anyone know the sure-fire way to get to Gouken? I got Akuma and beat the game with him, but I can't seem to get to Gouken, despite not losing rounds, getting some perfect victories, and finishing some matches with ultras. Weren't those the requirements?
Loving the game, but I have a LOT to learn about it. It's like the arcade version where I can do quite well with Zangief against everyone but the shotos (in versus)...who kill me with basic stuff that would be no problem in any other SF. :lol

too much confusion on what version to get, so i broke down and managed to get a stick for the 360 as well as the ps3, so now i'll have both versions with sticks

You overestimate the crowd at these things. I am by no means a great SF player, but at the SFC event in San Francisco I'd say I won a pretty decent amount. If you can go, just do it! It's fun regardless of your ability level, and every Capcom thing I've ever been to has been well put on.

No idea where the chain of information stands -- so if this has already been said I apologize -- but I put in a call to GameStop corporate to get answers. The fellow I spoke to basically guessed what I was calling about when I said I had an issue with a preorder. He then proceeded to tell me that there was some sort of snag with the manufacturer and that they only got part of their expected shipments (for the warehouses) earlier in the week, and had just gotten the rest of the shipment today. He said to expect the sticks to be at the stores by Friday or Monday "at the latest."Kintaro said:I feel ya there. Trust me though, I'm dying to play this. There are two games which make me absolutely giddy about playing right now. SF4 and MLB 09 The Show. The Show has done that to me since a couple of years back, and SF4 being the first in ten years. I don't cross days off of a calendar, but I've been doing it for these two.
Assuming he wasn't feeding me a line and blowing smoke up my ass, there seems to be hope for those of us who are still waiting. Cross your fingers!
