Just saw the card. I would have picked Evans, but only b/c I like him. Opinions have really changed here on GAF, starting with that one leg kick. His first fights were cautious, and quite boring, but I think we can all forgive him now. He was clearly just trying to learn without losing. Now he can finish fights and even have some swagger. Unfortunately for him, he's not going to slip under anyone's radar anymore.

Mir looks good. I feel bad for Brock b/c he deserves a can or two before having to get subbed by Mir. OTOH, he now knows he needs major work on his ground game. I'd love to see him blast Frank in the face a few times though.

Good KO by Rampage. So sad he had to go crazy.

Kongo had some crazy nice gnp. Hopefully he gets to fight scrubs the rest of his UFC career, b/c he'll build up a wonderful highlight reel. :lol

CB did tap but the ref didn't see it. Has he really done that before? PEACE.

Forrest was winning the fight until he got caught. He felt safe in guard, and normally I like Forrest's chances there, as he's usually pretty active looking for submissions, but Rashad caught him and that was it. Forrest's leg kicks were getting to Rashad in the first two rounds. In hindsight, he should have stuck to that and scrambled to his feet as soon as Rashad took him down.

Rampage Evans is going to be a boring fight until someone gets KO'ed. They're both counterpunchers with knockout power. Expect 3 rounds of feeling each other out, and finally some action in the 4th.

Nog is done. Age has finally caught up to him. I hope he has the grace to retire, before he becomes someone else's highlight reel KO.

Not looking forward to Mir/Lesnar 2, but I was really impressed with Mir's cardio in this fight. I didn't think he could go as long as he did pushing such a pace. Of course, Nog wasn't hitting him back, but still impressive for Frank.

Wanderlei should become a gatekeeper at this point. He still has KO power, but he's like Chuck in that his striking isn't technical enough to cut it at the top of the weight division now. Rampage or Evans would win 4 out of 5 times if they fought Wanderlei at this point.

Was someone earlier talking about Lidell hoping to get the belt back? There's no way that can happen. He can't get by Rampage, Evans, or Forrest.

I'm happy for the winners, but seeing Nog like that, and Wand also for that matter, made me sad. I didn't feel like doing anything afterwards either.

Just realized how strange it is for Forrest to be so happy after the tko loss to Evans compared to his tko loss to Jardine when he balled his eyes out.

hughes and penn are in the running, i'll give you that much, but mir is far and away the biggest (IMO obviously)

Well then you apparently haven't read Hughes' book. He is grade-A legitimate douche bag.

Will be interesting to see if the LHW championship continues this revolving door type of situation. Anyone beating anyone given the right time, training and luck. I'm sure it's a common feeling but I want to see the fighters that rise to take the belt with the technical dominance like Silva at middleweight. Maybe it'll be Machida? I kind of hope it will.

And yeah it's sad to see the greats just dying shitty deaths of a fight. That's the worst part. So one sided.

All I know is Rashad better hope and pray Dana doesn't book him against Silva anytime soon. Dana'd probably love the chance of giving Silva two belts, and I don't see Evans standing a chance against him. PEACE.

Ishii was offered a ton of money to fight in K-1. Like 5 million or something.

He is either using the UFC to get even more money from K1.. or he just wants to fight for the best org.

Or K-1 is a freak show and he knows it.
