GREAT news re: guile's second ultra being viable!! hopefully st.HP wasn't nerfed as per original reports and i am soooo gonna guile it up again in Super.

sunglasses are pretty huge, too

That Honda change was the one change I would have given him. (make the headbutts useable to get out of crossups on wakeup)

That said, I hope Capcom knew what they are doing, hearing some things about chars I thought wouldn't be too good- doesn't sound too good.

Most likely, I got a feeling we're going to end up with another SF4, either via DLC or another disk.

Eff that. If Chun-Li has to stay in the 900 club, so does Viper. I'm surprised Juri with all her apparently crazy tools has 950, same goes for Ibuki having 900. But what do I know? I suck!

Also, for Vega's Ultra. It's got the same properties as the EX wall dive? So that means it hits you on the way up, goes through and then he comes back at you from the other side? Would that mean he could combo Forward HK into it, or does the Ultra just come out too slow for that to work?

No, i wouldn't agree. sakura can lay down the same amount of stun as viper off of a single meter anywhere on the screen, i'm no viper player but the impression she gives me is that she really needs to work a corner if she wants to SJC for her stun combos.

disregarding youtube combos, sakura really only needs to mix you up once to stun every member of the cast who isn't russian at a cost of two meters spent. [with one build in combo], viper on the otherhand knocks you down alot and has to hit you more often.

viper is a stronger character and has a strong stun based game, but shes second to sakura in this department IMO.

We can only hope.

Vega's changes have me so excited for him. I've mained him the entirety of SF4 and was leaning on picking up a new character for SSFIV, due to a rising level of frustration. With this new development, though, I'm gonna stick with him. :D
 
What the fuck did they do to TU damage!? It's going to be funny seeing all of these Sagat players jumping ship. I'll probably pick up a secondary, but definitely not dropping the King.

Bah, I need to start playing again. I'm going to be hella shitty when Super hits.

Sagat still has the tools to lay down the same ass smacking he layed down in SF4. He cant do it in 2 and a half combos anymore. The Damage Nerf was need.

I don't see Sagat being any worse than A tier now. His priority is good and he has a large arsenal of punishing moves. He just won't kill me in four hits anymore. :lol

But in light of his damage nerfs, also tinkering with his standing short is pretty fucked up :lol

I dunno. I've just seen stun numbers thrown out, but not sure what it means. For example Balrog's Dirty Bull does lower damage but has a stun of 800 or something. (that could be way off, I'm going by memory)

I think it does 700.

Lets say Ryu has 1000 stun total.
Rog ultra does 700; Rog has to land another 300 stun damage to dizzy Ryu.

After that, Ryu's stun goes higher to lessen the chance if a redizzy. I think it goes up another 100-150

-On paper Dudley and T.Hawk (MEAT TANK) look really damn good.
-wtf @ the lowered damage on the DPs (Cammy & Sagat really got hammered; AA ryu DP only 50 lol)
-Hearing that you CAN throw Boxer out of his rush punches still. 'Glad about that
-What's the talk about Ryu's fireball traps not being viable? Is it just the 'bait neutral jump, super' trick?
-Claw players must be happy with that U1 change. Fucker just got more scary for me now. 'Gotta study that matchup more
-Deejay being the new and improved Guile seems unlikely now. Maybe they should have left the crumple off of EX dreadkick in?

There's so much more info that's just floating through my head. Some of these changes for sure will affect dem flowcharters. Less mashed out DPs on wakeup or in general is always a good thing. It extends to the 'Gief players with the new Lariat. Overall, I'm just anxious to start playing.

Kinda weird to see the changes to Sagat. He could have used some tweaks, but I'm not sure if the changes made were the best that could have been done. The Uppercut changes seem extreme. I would have kept him with the same HP, or left his St.LK alone. I dunno. We'll see how this plays out.

No news on 'Sim makes me sad, though I'm not surprised since hardly anyone plays him. But I was happy to see the impression that he could possibly give Dudley pressure with his crouching normals.

I am trying to play through Final Fantasy XIII and God of War 3, but my heart is not in it...all I can think about is SSFIV....so god damn hyped.

A lot of my time playing SSFIV was against the dude who (amongst other things) made the game Trixel. He plays the best Sim I've ever played against. When i post my impressions tomorrow i will try to remember to post anything i can about him.

I have the same problem. I can't focus on any other games at the moment. I actually returned White Knight Chronicles and FFXIII to the store. All I play is SFIV, and even then I'm wishing it was Super.

whenever I am playing something else, i feel I should be in the training room practicing my links instead or else lose my step with the competition

Once SSFIV comes out, i doubt I need any other game for the rest of the year.

Ah, I was wondering how they worked this in. I figured they just extended the hit stun animations after getting the trade.

Most French gamers of the fighting game community, especially in Paris, use "de l'infini" or "du crime" or even "de l'angoisse" just for the sake of exaggeration, it's not meant to be taken literally. :lol

the initial reveal had her do it midscreen too. i think it might just be a matter of strength. [like l.hayate, rh.karakusa would work]

Could be cool if Makoto could mix up j.HK -> st.HP -> Hayate with j.HK -> st.HP -> Hayate Cancel -> Karakusa -> ??? -> Profit
