Yeah, as with all things Udung; they don't tend to produce good shit themselves. However they know a few people here and there that do produce some good shit. That's what scans are for. Sorry Adam Hughes, I got a moral obligation here. :D

It's just the Canadian sweatshop poorly tracing Capcom Design Works and inserting itself, like a cancer, in Capcom's general gravitational pull thanks to a distinct lack of quality Capcom shit here in the West. :|

I picked up the Street Fighter 20th Anniversary book, and I think that's mostly internal Capcom work. It was basically imported straight from Japan, from what I recall. I have it sitting at home, but haven't cracked open the packaging yet. That one might be more your style.

I've been buying / importing Capcom artbooks for over a decade now.

Unfortunately I had to get the Udung release of Eternal Challenge because my dickhead comic shop owner screwed me on the import. And that's how you lose my business! >:|

The Street Fighter Ha! Artbook is my most recent import and while there's a lot of redundancy with past artbooks; it's definitely worth owning and is massive. :D

Bah, even if half+ of the pages IS a DeviantArtist, they love SF, they made awesome contributions, I paid for the book, and they got a great honor by getting into a book like this + I think they might have been paid too, not to mention a very good point to fill your future CV with... :p

And yes, there is a lot of games industry artist in the book too. And one from Gabe :D

The art book that is all Udon art isn't that great but the Tribute and Capcom books are totally worth owning. Two of my best purchases this year (the Darkstalkers tribute is great as well).

Who the fuck buys artbooks in America? Theyre a fucking scam!

I go to Japan and none of these books top 30 dollars, all in the 20-30 range (ended up paying 100 bucks in overweight fees, but thats besides the point!)... and then Udon expects me to pay up to 70 dollars for their shitty ass book? Fuck youuuuuu

Word. Sounds like a farewell Ranbat to SF4 before Super comes into play. I'll probably go just to check out the event. As for playing, I'm holding back till Super comes out. Then I may go get myself involved more often. I just don't have time to do casuals when they have it out in Ogden. Bleh.

$70? Retail is $40 and they regularly drop in price for sales to around $25. $70 for a hardcover, maybe.

The books retail for $40. If they get sold out it's not Udon's fault people like to jack up the prices. Unless you're talking about their hardbound editions of previous artbooks?

I'm in South Jordan. I've been wanting to get involved with the community here but I have some big time constraints with things. I'm hoping things will change around when Super comes out though.

Ah, well shits been a little dead around here since the holidays anyway. Casuals and ranbats should return to normal with SSFIV in a few weeks. We do have some pretty good players around here... at least we used to before everyone took a break lol. I haven't played for a few months and I'm hella rusty. You should stop by for casuals sometime.
