Really wish they would've put in a proper training mode that helps players improve their game.

Maybe Dan could flash when you're supposed to connect the next hit to give some sort of marker as to why you might not be connecting your hits right.

Would have been a nice idea. Even if the game just displayed an optional text message saying "you preformed the press too early/soon!" or have beeps or something to help you get the rhythm.

It's like Capcom depends on fan-made youtube videos in order to show how these things are done! (-_-;) I mean, if one is coming into SSFIV cold turkey, what in the world makes it appear that combos like that even exist in the game? Not like the CPU in any mode is gonna waste THEIR time with links.

They truly overestimate the idea that simply throwing a bunch of moves onscreen, in a throwaway mode, is going to teach people things...

I find the most difficult combos are the multi-normal hit ones like a lot of the charge characters hard mode challenges. No matter how many times I try, I just can't pull them off consistently - The timings are so oddly precise, you have to be quick, but too quick and the move doesn't come off, too slow it's blocked, and the difference must me a few 1/100s of a second surely. I guess it's something either your fingers can do or they can't.

Problem is, a lot of them cannot be done normally either. You'll have to ask someone or YT it in order to get an idea on how to do some of them. Some of them requires buffering, not having the stick or dpad in a neutral position, etc. Like the Dhalsim last hard trial, crouching hp, lk into super, the game doesn't tell you exactly what to do. You have to hold down back for both the normals.

Not sure if this has been posted yet...

For all the Fuerte players in GAF (MIMIC, Turtle, Won and ..... who else?):

RSF hasn't been changed!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InF_OEY8vSg
Vigilante did a 6 loop RSF.

And another showing of how useful Fuerte's U2 is to deter rushes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4h0apNHSIEo

Plus this vid also shows that perhaps some Dictator players will still use U1 against jumpy fast people like Fuerte/Ibuki/Guy. PP wasn't that useful against Fuerte.

j.FP and ultra 1 seems to be of better use against jumpy scurrying opponents.

EDIT: Found something interesting - in 1:30 in the Fuerte v Viper/Dictator, Fuerte caught Viper with U2 during her recovery from a whiffed cr.HP. Holy shit!

Don't confuse trial challenges with training mode.

Whats the command for Ultra Spark?

Cuz he tried agst that cammy and screwed up and did the Guac Leg Throw EX Version so it makes me think that its 3K's still?

Another example = ELF's Hard #5 :lol They could have at least spelled out RSF...

Waaait so you can j.mp into U2 for bison?
Nope, not possible since U2 hits grounded but not airborne opponents - you can see this in the v Fuerte vid.

Against scurrying jumpy opponents (Fuerte/Ibuki/Guy), it might still be better for Dictator to stick with ultra 1 for the threat of j.MP -> U1.

EDIT: I might be wrong about this - some people in SRK are saying because Andre didn't do j.MP*2, he missed the juggle state that would've enabled PP to connect.

Holy shit startup on slide is so good now too.
And everyone is saying U2 after J.MP works in the vid, so its gotta be true.
That's the thing though, so far I don't see any indication that PP works on airborne opponents - Fuerte was jumping willy nilly against Dictator's U2 to avoid it.

And it works.

wait...

its kinda bullshit if it does'nt work, some characters can sweep you while in juggle state.

Why cant it work like Viper's U1...

yea jwong says "it works" in the vid, I hope he was saying that in relation bison.

also hope that his improved pc will make up for damage reduction on almost all his normals.

Yeah, really disappointed how Capcom didn't bother fixing Fuerte.
You mean fixing Q-Bomb?
Because that's the only thing that needs to be fixed to be a high priority motion move instead of the sucky move it is right now.
