This game feels like it's turning into the next MvC in terms of balance. Good thing for some, not for others.

I'm not getting the responses here, if anything, I thought that WAS the point of Zangief's Ultra II - to beat any sort of air-to-air combat - it's not like Fei Long's where he asks you to come at him at any direction and STILL get beat with so many things... :lol

Dude can't be knighted as the protector of all of Russia's skies if he let even the littlest thing through!

And I can't believe that I didn't realize that the zweifuss here on GAF was the same guy with the same URL name as the one who made that incredible 3rd Strike GIF site - kudos man!

This is like a recurring theme with him and SRK, isn't it? :lol

I checked out the fights in the Game Night and...I want to play Makoto so bad now. There's got to be something with her that people haven't quite discovered yet that unlocks her potential in this engine.

seriously she isnt bad and is better than the game night videos make her look. i had a hard time hitting combos out of her karakusa until later int he night because the Samsung TV we played on had a bit (a lot) of lag.

that said, its really difficult to land her karakusa in this game and that seems to be the real money maker. the ex version seems to wiff a lot as well. also, in 3s, chun li had a really fast jab and it would really screw with makotos game, and in SF4, a lot of characters have really fast crouching jabs so I feel that might make it pretty hard to keep the momentum going with her.

how I know that my hdtv would cause a lag? I meant I never heard of HDTV can cause lags.

Yup, and that's why I continue to cherish my HD CRT - zero lag...

In awesome Dee Jay news, Alioune (the French dude who's been posting the SSFIV vids, including the Gief Ultra II scooping everything out of the air) posted on SRK that Dee Jay's Ultra II connects with full animation after an anti-air cr.HK, anywhere on the screen.

I have a feeling that I read this weeks ago somewhere, but glad to see it right now - looks like it's even more viable aside from how cool it looks... :)

Yeah pretty much, though some are worse than others. Those smaller like 24 inch samsungs are pretty bad (my GF has one and I immediately went out and got another TV when I moved in with her, lol), I have 24 inch LG that is pretty laggy too. I think I just get spoiled because a lot of my friends who are into fighters either have the Asus EVO Standard or the Sharp Aquos, both which supposedly have the best response time.

I want to get the Sharp e77u series which is awesome in terms of lagless gaming from what I've read. :)

Is that a newer model?

The point I was trying to make before tho is that a lot of stuff on game night is easier than it looks but we were all having some issues with inputs. like karakusa into seichusen godanzanki is super easy but i missed it everytime until i started buffering it way earlier later in the night.

Yeah, I remember hearing rumor of this idea. I think I've only ever seen 1 successful Anti-Air Slide, which just could mean people aren't going for it. I guess this'll be useless on Vega's Jump diagonal fierce, or Chun's diagonal Roundhouse, but aganist anyone with normal jumpkicks, this should be a great tactic!

He made a topic, said he found some infos that MVC3 is real and going to be announced in May, and that SSF4 was getting a PC release. He then got his thread deleted and shitbanned.

I noticed that really recently in normal SF4 when I played a Cammy mirror match. The patch on her hat is in a different place, mind was blown.
