My proof of identity for my TE stick is my fist. Anyone fucks with my stick is getting their teeth shoved down their throat, while I'm wearing my SF4 snuggie.

Yeah, I broke down and bought a Cincy Reds baseball cap. I'd probably buy something Street Fighter if it was cool. Maybe Ryu's head band or Dan's gi.

Its still a rip off man. Capcom is cheap as anything for charging us for costumes which are literally just codes on the disk that have to be unlocked. I mean seriously WTF?! I paid about 90 dollars for CE version of SF IV and now they expect us to pay 40 dollar for just a roster update with a few backgrounds and fixes...Then all we get is color 11 to be unlocked for being a loyal customer.

Sorry for the rant, but seriously Capcom with SF and DLC is one area where Capcom has failed IMHO.

I will still buy SSFIV, but seriously this is like losing against flowchart Ken. >_<

Jesus fuck, they didn't even have to give you anything to begin with. Not only are they adding a shitload of content, they are doing it for a discounted price. You feel like you need a better reward for being a loyal customer? Well guess what, your reward is you can keep playing in SSF4 with nifty new characters and stages for $40. I honestly wouldn't give a shit if we didn't get anything at all because getting this much new stuff for $40 is a fucking steal when most other companies probably would have just as easily charged $60.

I disagree completely. They've added 10 characters and added moves to every character, basically changing the game completely. It's not like you can't use the DLC from the first game, that carries over. Sure download keys to unlock content already on disc sucks, but its not critical to gameplay at all, like maps/modes that you find being locked away in shooters lately.

Also, the game is $40! I can't believe how many people have been dismissing that price. The game is a fantastic package.

Props to both Capcom and Aksys for keeping these lower prices for the new versions of SF and BB being released this year.

Yeah, i'm not too worried about that. Playing in the ATL area you'd be surprised at how close nit the community is when it comes to this stuff. Stuff can still get yanked, but the chances of you getting away with it are extremely low.

the alternative would be forcing a patch including all the dlc information, otherwise you wouldn't see the opponenets alt if you didnt have the pack. its better to put it on disc than to put it on the HDD.

personally, i disagree. Capcom wanted an extra revenue stream to go with their games, the alt system is painless, lax and does not effect game play in the slightest. I'm happy about it, because alts would most likely not have existed if there was not a desire for a dlc revenue stream.

Has this actually been confirmed? I'd be very surprised if they left something like that in, especially the wall problem. In a fighting game, this would be huge - even to the point where a person who starts on the side of the cross-uppable wall would be at a disadvantage.

Both of these problems seem like A-class bugs - they don't freeze the game or anything but they're pretty f@cking big. Just goes to show how pressed for time and money they were when making this game. I really hope they go back and patch it but I doubt they will unless enough people make a stink about it. I guess it's to be expected when you make this many changes to the system within such a short period of time.

These nerfs don't bug me as much but the wall bug where you can cross up only on one side of the screen is stupid. Alpha 3 had a similar problem with the wall and some combos only working on one side of the screen. I do not like this at all. In Alpha 3 would do coin flips at times to determine which side you played on since the advantage was that big especially for Sakura due to her infinite combo.

10 new characters, thats a whole new game for 40 bucks. Then add everything from SF IV FOR FREE, basically.

Also, the reason why it won't be fixed is in the quote. It's in the engine and they really don't want to fuck with things too deep in there anymore. People will buy it anyway and SSF4 is a cash in iteration (as much as people don't want to think it is) so why worry about it. I would honestly be surprised if we even see one balance patch for SSF4 in its lifetime after launch (barring a day one patch for something).

Pretty much, but EX Shouken is a pretty safe move that does a hell of a lot of damage, and is bread and butter IMO, considering both her super (and ultra) are pretty useless.

There's more new content, more changes, more fixes, in SSF4 than in any update Capcom has ever done to any of their games (including, in some cases, FULL SEQUELS). There's more than in almost any update any fighting game series has received on a console.

In terms of value, this is the most respectable and fair to the customer upgrade a fighter has ever received of which I am aware.

Sure, I can understand why they don't want to touch it. It would mean taking more time to debug and pay programmers to mess around with the code - meaning more production costs. If it was something they discovered after the game was sent out or received gold approval, then they should be working on a patch. No one appreciates shoddy programming and the idea that "people are just going to buy it anyway" won't hold up if they don't hold to a certain standard...

Unless this kind of bug really isn't a big deal. Seems like a big deal to me, though.

but any setup for ex shouken is a setup for ex shunpakyu, so unless you need an invincible reversal, you should never use shouken.

<shrugs> Maybe after the sales of DLC costumes, they'll think about it. :lol What had me scratching my head is the claim that they don't know why or how the unblockable Ultras work at times.

CVS2 had a worse deal.. 2p could do corner cross ups that 1p couldn't do.. at all. This is one reason why switching sides actually mattered in that game.

Dude, the thing is that Capcom and Ono made a big deal about the extra that loyal fans will get by keeping SF4 will be real special.

I should try to switch it up, problem is a lot of the hitboxes for EX Shunpakyu don't end up lining up properly for where my opponent is, and not all the hits get through. Regardless, I will try it out. Thanks for the tip.

You can crossup on the right side when someone is corner but not on the left side.

I'm not sure if it applies to everything, but I know you can crossup with Cannon Strike on the right but on the left Cammy gets pushed back to the right side of the opponent.
