I wasn't that interested in any of the drops today, so I didn't bother trying for one. I'm guessing they sold out insanely quick as always.

I did like the look of that ParaNorman print, but I really don't want to go out of my way to pick up a print for a movie I have not yet seen. Anybody else like that? I mean, no matter how good the art is, if I end up hating the movie, I doubt I'd want to display a print for it.

A lot of people seem to feel that way, or they didn't like the ParaNorman print, because from what I can tell, that print was up for over 5 minutes, which is pretty long for a Mondo drop.

Edit: A bit of a random aside, but I was perusing Ansin's site and I stumbled on this:

Apparently it was used for the NY Times review of The Dark Knight Rises.

I wish that was available as a print. I wouldn't mind having at least one print in a more traditional comic-book style, and I love the composition on this one.

Lot of older cult films have not sold out. Some larger runs of not so popular stuff also remains for a while especially if not by one of the super popular artists. The Old Dark House, the unholy 3, Gremlins 2, Inn Keepers, there fairy tales line, and bunch of others took weeks at times to sell out.

The gid version is where it's at. They sold all 50 of it today. In October, it will be the reg that sells, which isn't as cool to me. Yeah, the APs will be gid too, but they will be marked up accordingly. So I'm still on the "it sucks to have missed it today boat"

Yeah, but the Englert AP prints will be hand finished with new things in them. They will also probably be worth a boat load of money. Either way, I could care less about GID. I think it's tacky, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
