looked like bernie williams quit on that last hit, then sped up. what the hell was that? it wouldn't have mattered though, damon has pretty good speed, but still dude you never know if he trips on the bag or stumbles or whatever. you have to give 100% until that run officially crosses the plate

I expected the Yanks to grab 1 at Fenway. It would have been better lose the first 2 and win the last one tonight for the Yanks. Can Schilling come out tomorrow night and kill the Yanks? I'm afraid.

I spent 6 hours watching this game. I got home from school and work, and turned it on. This totally blows. I'm wasting my life away watching baseball.

Go Yanks....please win tomorrow!

Damon was rounding third as Williams was getting a handle on the ball, there was no chance in hell unless God shot a lightning bolt down out of the sky and floored Damon. Then Damon's charred remains might have been blown over home plate before Bernie's noodle arm could have gotten that ball in.

I think that game just gave my great grandmother a heart attack. She's a hardcore Yankees fan.
Hey, she chooses to side with Satan, she should know the risks. ;P

I think the Yankees have a good chance tomorrow with Lieber on the mound. We really have to stop leaving people on base.. we had like what? 20 LOB? That being said, I think we can take it tomorrow with home field advantage and we get the bottom of the inning. Which if it goes into extra innings, means the pressure is on Boston this time around. Thank goodness. Bottom of the inning was nerve racking these last two games. Go Yankees! We have faith in you. :)

Wow.. Houston Astros just now!! Home run! They win the game.

*wish the yankees had done that*

goddamit, Griese!
I would like to say though, if Schilling pitches good and the Sox win tomorrow's game...all fucking bets are off for game 7. No telling what the fuck will happen.

Stros are in damn good shape. Damn good.

honestly, I don't even care who wins the NLCS now, both teams have been awesome and the games have been awesome. and either one will beat the crap out of the yankees. That sox game is awesome because the yankees will probably still win the series, but now they don't get as much time off as they would have if they had won last night or tonight.

Dominican actually I believe, friend of mine's family was from the next town over from his or something, he's a huge Ortiz fan. The black part was a reference to his skin color.

Ok so my bro finally tells me he got offered first dibs on playoff and world series tickets for the Stros' and he denied them. I call him tonight and mentions that he is going to dig up that email. *Prays*

The Yanks bullpen is now more worn out than the Sox 'pen, thanks to some great work by rubber armed Wake. Lesckanic, Myers, and Mendoza are all fairly well rested, Francona is saying that Wake and Lowe will both be available for game 6 again tommorow.

Plus, the Sox have a much better bench. These two back to back huge games have to be wearing at the Yanks every day guys. A good number of the Sox starters were subbed in for defensive replacements or pinch runners as it was. The more tired the Yanks starting 9 gets, the worse that already shit defense will get. :)

Also, go 'Stros! I've always been a big Bagwell fan, if the Sox can't take it I want him to get a ring. Though It'd be evened out if he doesn't when Clemens doesn't get another. Fuck you Roger Con Man!

Even though my teams either didn't make or now are out of the postseason, I have to say: what a night of baseball.

And the fact Houston is only one game away from the Series....geez, that's simply unbelievable considering where they were at the Break.

Garner should get Manager of the Year regardless of where the Astros end up.

yanks had two chances to put the sox away and the bullpen (almost all blame goes on gordon) failed. you gotta wonder if they'll get another chance.

the yanks best hope is that schilling isnt sharp (unlikely) and they can get to the sox bullpen early and lieber deals. they pretty much need an exact repeat of game 1.

I really wished Clark's ground rule double had stayed in the park.. That was the game. Instead of scoring a run, we had runners on 2nd and 3rd. I am so happy we're back at Yankee Stadium tomorrow.

Seriously? Is today the deadline for that?
The registration process for Houston Astros 2004 World Series Tickets is now closed. The Houston Astros thank all those who registered for the chance to purchase tickets. Below is an outline of the process.

On Saturday, October 16, a random drawing wwas held among all fans who registered online. Those selected in the random drawing were notified via e-mail on Sunday, October 17. The e-mail provided winners with instructions on how to purchase tickets to Astros World Series games online on Monday, October 18, between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. CT.

There will be a one-game, two-ticket purchase limit for each winner selected in the random drawing, subject to availability. Ticket prices for the World Series, as established by Major League Baseball, are $125-$185 per seat and $45 for standing room only. Ticket purchases must be made with a major credit card (American Express, VISA, Mastercard, Discover). Additional fees may apply.

If the Astros reach the World Series, the team would host games on Tuesday, October 26 (Game 3); Wednesday, October 27 (Game 4); and Thursday, October 28 (Game 5, if necessary). All dates and times are subject to change by Major League Baseball.

There is no charge to register for this opportunity. There is no obligation to buy a ticket.

In order to be eligible for this opportunity, you must be eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Limit one entry per person. In the case of multiple entries for the same individual, only the first entry received was considered. Only entries submitted to the Astros during the Registration Period will be entered in the random drawing. Entries generated by a script, macro, or other mechanical or automated means will not be valid.

In the event that the winner does not respond to such notification by purchasing 2004 World Series tickets by 6:00 p.m. CT Monday, October 18, a disqualification will result. Please be sure to provide us with an accurate e-mail address. The Astros are not responsible for any e-mail notifications that are bounced back or misdirected.

goddamit, Griese!
i'm really curious to see how schilling is. if he's gotta go out in the 4th or 5th i dunno if the sox bullpen can hold up.
foulke should be good for 2 innings too, if needed. but if he goes 2 again tomorrow, his status(and pretty much every boston reliever) for a game 7 would be up in the air.

and yeah, gordon has been lit up by the sox so far. i don't know if the yanks can count on him anymore.

heh, for that money i would probably just get the $45 standing room.

The way my bro put it he was offered to buy tickets not offered to possibly get a chance to buy them. Me and him bought a mini-pack and we along with season ticket holders get first dibs unless Im wrong. Anyways I think we are to late for that.

I registered and didn't get in. :(

Maybe people will forget and I'll be thrown into the second drawing...I can buy one SRO ticket!

This might possibly have been the greatest day in Baseball History. The two games were amazing.

I think the only place it falls short is... the Astros game didn't finish before the Red Sox game. If that had happened, I would have shit myself.
