I think the elixir is for healing alone.

Book spoilers:
While Palmer was never administered any of the Master's blood in the books, certain other characters were. What it does is temporarily relieve the physical maladies of whoever drinks it. Palmer isn't being healed, he's being temporarily made able-bodied so that he can serve his purpose. If the Master never hooks him up with another infusion, Palmer is going to degrade to his former state.

Those SWATpires better have cleared out those other containers as well.
Like seriously, you are trying to kill rampant vampires, and it looks like you got a fuck ton of them all locked up and waiting for you.

It was just the one container, the guy mentioned it when handing the cash over that they delivered their container to x/y area of the dock.

For all we know they aren't really there to wipe out the random vampires, who knows what their ultimate goal is... well except for you book readers!

Eh, that episode felt like filler. A few interesting things happened (The TV broadcast was neat and Nora's mom is finally gone, thank god) but for the most part it felt like they were just biding their time til the finale.

Also, the part where the two dudes started shooting at each other while being overrun by vampires was so fucking dumb. Ugh.

Seemed like a filler episode but it wasn't too bad. Anytime Eichorst or the hit squad show up the show gets better IMO. I don't mind Gus these days either. Plus Nora's mom is out of the way so that's one less useless character hanging around. Now if the kid would just disappear. I get the feeling he's going to be this show's version of Carl though.

They keep teasing that vampire SWAT team. I want to know more about them. I hope they show up in the finale, season 2 would be a long wait.

She wanted kids. Master gave him a kid... to cut

Damn, that's

Ratsky's much beloved series has its season finale today:
Season 1: episode 13 "The Master"

Eph and Fet recon for an all-out assault that Setrakian assures them will finally kill the Master. Gus aligns himself with a strange new force, one that may swing the fight in an unforeseen direction.

We going to get booming voice Vampire Hit Squad leader or kindly 'ol grandpa Vampire Hit Squad leader? Either way, there better be some Vampire Hit Squad leader with discussions about who the fuck they are.

These last several minutes have been great.

Totally saw it coming, but I still laughed when it did. Was thinking they were just going to have it go unnoticed in the background.
Haha, yep. I knew what was gonna happen as soon as they hugged, and since you could see them through the UV protector or whatever it's called.

Edit:
I thought Mexican dude was about to become Blade for a second there.

Have to agree, the retreat scene was pretty damn stupid. In the book,
I think it's a lot quicker. Pretty sure the master jumps outside, watches their reaction to him not dying, then escapes.
Will also say the vamps walking back words was hilarious.

Still enjoying the show myself. Excited to see how things go in season two.

The fight scenes and the Vamp Hit Squad scenes were cool, I guess. The rest was shit.

It would have been much more effective if they had done it that way instead.

Stop being so melodramatic and shove some dynamite up his ass and push him out the window. That should work.

FFS why didn't they immediately run outside and finish off the Master instead of just standing there watching him burn on the ground?

I know, right! God. The super evil bad guy is on the ground burning to death, so instead of hocking a thing of dynamite at him or shooting him or stabbing him, they just stood there and watched? What the fuck? After that whole "We can't let him live no matter what! This is it! We fight or we die!" speech that Setrakien gave just 5 minutes earlier?

People should realize by now that eph is mentally weak and his son gets that from him.

Eph is seriously one of the worst protagonists I've seen in a long time (this is quickly becoming an FX trademark). He's "mentally weak", as you put it, but he's also physically weak, has an ugly toupee, and constantly has a whiny looking cry face on all the time. He really needs to not suck next season.

That was a pretty ok finale. A lot of rough spots in the first season, but overall I had fun with it. I'm looking forward to season two.

They messed up the last scene with the master. In the book the master shows arrogance in his escape and doesn't just linger around.
