Also, are we expecting 1.04 and future patches to address framerate issues on PS4?

I dont want the game to get all buggy like Skyrim on PS3.

Does CDPR usually fix most of the issues? Im worried about continuing to play

This game has nowhere near the technical issues of Skyrim on PS3 which became outright unplayable after several hours. I really wouldn't worry about that.

Yup.

It's the one called alcoholist. Or something like that. And it's expensive to craft since the ingredients are expensive to buy and rare to find.

I would be careful how often you meditate. I have like 45 of them atm, but I never meditate.

edit: oh wow dwarven spirit works as well? awesome.
Yeah, any hard liquor works. There's this one called Mahakaman Spirit that costs like 19 crowns per bottle

What's the point of the really high level equipment you can craft. I found a level 47 sword, but how would you even get to that level?
High level diagrams are the one equipment-related reward that don't seem to level-scale. I'm honestly quite glad about that.

I love Skellige so much. Never played a game that has that look and atmosphere before. Gorgeous and very different to Velen.

I2) Where do you get those Griffin armor or swords everyone's talking about? Sounds like it's almost through the main quest, but I'm in Novigrad and haven't found any.

Most craftsmen, blacksmiths and what not. They sometimes have a rip page that has a location for witcher gear. The first one you can equip is the griffin. I forget who gives you the sheet. But it should be velen area.

Its worth it. This gear can be upgraded as well. So right now i am about to hit level 15, as soon as that happens, i'll be upgrading my armor, since i already found the upgrade schemes. Totally worth it.

There was a point in Skyrim where I was stuck because the frame rate went down to <1fps. I couldn't leave the place because I could no longer move. This quirks in TW3 pale in comparison.

ARGH FUCK! Just found out you could loot destroyed monster nests. I am so mad right now. So many other nests left unlooted.

Did you read this in the loading screen? I realized this after i killed a
Royal Wyvern.
I need to go back to every nest now. haha

Someone already posted this ?

http://forums.cdprojektred.com/threads/42937-Addressing-the-no-XP-Glitch?p=1718751#post1718751

We would like to let everyone know that we are aware of the XP glitch players are reporting and we are working to have it fixed as soon as possible across all platforms (Monday for PC & patch 1.04 on consoles in the following days).

At the same time we want to shed some light on the issue. First of all, it doesn't impact the game balance in any significant way. Also, you will be able to finish the game with your character achieving a level within the threshold we had in mind when we designed the game.

We hope this clears things up a bit. Again, rest assured, we won’t stop working on improving the game and there are more patches coming in the near future.

Haha wow

But what about the framerate dips? I hear some people say it goes to 20 fps? That will get patched right?

You just started son

You should be able to go back and loot them, loot in the game doesn't seem to despawn at all if unlooted.

I noticed this when in White Orchard, I had left all the nests for the last thing to do, killed all the monsters at all of them but when I got to the last one I realised I could loot it and went back to all the others to loot them too.

Try and see if you can still loot them, loot seems to remain in the world indefinitely.

You're on the titanic, but you can't even see the tip of the iceberg yet my friend.

Sorry question, is the Emperor of the Southern army Ciri's biological father, who was cursed in past Witcher games? And Geralt saved him and claimed Ciri?

It happened in the books, but yes, the Emperor was cursed, Geralt saved him and got Ciri as a reward - but it's more complicated than that, obviously.

Why does the Emperor dislike Geralt? And why doesn't Geralt sort of hate the Emperor for destroying the North, when he was the one who sent that evil Witcher to kill the Northern king, who later also kidnapped Triss?

They dislike each other equally - Geral for all the shit the Emperor pulled, especially regarding Ciri and his loved ones, Emhyr for the fact that Geralt knows all this and judges him.

For more detailed write-up of the books plot, quoting my own post: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=165618035&postcount=5209

What! I didn't know that, I've done about 13 monster nests and didn't even realise, I usually just drop the bomb in there and run like a motherfucker.

I can't, but wonder if loot scaling is fucked? I just did contracts for levels 23, 24, 25 and 26 as level 22 and here is what I got from monster bodies;
HBVHJXs.png
Pure rubbish for killing such "high" level monsters, but at least XP was good and stories of contracts worth of listen. Just seems weird that doing e.g. level 23 contract gives you level 17 sword as loot.

Edit: This seems to be same with all contracts. Level required and loot gained doesn't match, ever.

Encountered two bugs this morning...

- Roach doesn't appear when double-clicking L3, no whistle or anything.
- Crossbow men don't take damage (pretty sure this has only happened in Novigrad) when they're attempting to reload, they just stagger, take no damage and restart their reload animation.

How on earth do I get bombs?!

I thought I needed to craft them, but nobody seems able to do so?
Creating bombs is an alchemy thing. Herb sellers and alchemists can give you the recipes, you may also find them in chests.

That's still early game

I think it might be rare monster drops. I've only been able to find Nekker hearts from their nests.
I believe Nekker warriors drop them too but I've not encountered them in many locations

hot, steaming, as melted butter slips into the cracks, drizzled with sticky sweet syrup OH GOD
Damn, I might have the XP bug. Been doing main story quests for a while and noticed some of them not giving XP at all when completed =/.

I have done the L3 whistle and at times Roach will not come, but i figure he is just stuck somewhere. I do it again and there he is.

I've seen this one before. It's usually when I'm on stairs or some type of platform while trying to hit them.

Nah all contracts mostly gives garbage. It seems that what you get is always slightly worse than what you have equipped. Same with most of the stuff you find exploring.

You make them yourself, just like you make potions.

You have to wait a few seconds after quick-travelling before you can call for Roach.

Probably because you can do lvl 23 contracts with lvl 17 ? What is the levelrange before a quest or a Monster turns red / grey for you ?

I think the reasoning behind this is that players may attempt the contract at a lower level. So the loot being within their level is the reward.

Looks like the XP bug will be fixed Monday on PC

Yeah, it's really wonderful. I could ride through the meadows all day.

Really love the wilderness song on Ard Skellig too. Actually reminds me of the Oerba theme from FF XIII. And on that note, I think this game may be the friendliest WRPG yet for people who cut their teeth on JRPGs.

15 is highest gray, 17-27 is green and 28 is lowest red atm in my log. I'm level 22, almost 23.

I just wish that loot from contracts would scale little bit upwards too if doing e.g. 23 contract as 22, getting level 17 and such items is little eh. I don't remember last time I found usable loot, been running around in feline set for so long now.

Amusing banter overheard:

They say at Ragnarok, every creature imaginable from men's nightmares will come forth from the caves... with me wife's mum leading at the head.

Hahaha... this game.

Love some of the quotes on the Gwent cards.

"He ploughing' wear golden armor. Golden. 'Course he's an arsehole"

Haven't been this addicted to a game within a game since triple triad, just wish it were a bit easier to find a game like it was for triple triad.

So good. Love that quote, made me laugh at home while my wife stared at me awkwardly.
