You've disingenuously introduced a binary choice there. A "long, overly-expository" cutscene isn't the only alternative.

I appreciate you think differently, and realize we're not going to reach an agreement. But I'd appreciate not straw-manning my position.

Oh, good lord.

What castle? You mean the mansion?

Nah,
Kaer Morhen.
I didn't feel like Googling the spelling of it. But for you, I did. You're welcome.

Here's another shot I took.

In the swamps near the children? I got stuck there last night and had to go back to last checkpoint, was a tad annoying as it seemed like a corrupted part of the land terrain.

I got stuck inside a half sunken boat once, I was waist deep in water and couldn't jump out... there are a lot of locations like that unfortunately.

The problem with the romance is that there's never a point where it feels like you're supposed to turn down Yennefer. The option is there, but Triss's role in the story is pretty insignificant and there aren't many moments where you're interacting with her, while Yennefer is there constantly giving you shit about Triss whether you pick her or not.

I think it mostly just comes from Yen being more important in Ciri's life, and with the story centering around her so much it just seems like it should work out that way.

Did I miss something in there?
In Kaer Morhen I never really got a chance to interact with Triss. It was Yen up until the battle, then after the battle she instantly leaves with Yen to gather the sorceresses

Yea I don't remember anything there either, only thing was
Yen kissing me after getting Ciri and Triss deathglaring me.

Just finished " Wandering in the Dark ". First quest line that really showed the potential of this game I think. I mean there was the moment with the Baron but other then that not much else going on. The side quests have not been dull, but not really anything special either.

This was satisfying though and has me intruiged for the future quests.

It also gave me a few nice new weapons. I still use my 20% xp increase silver sword for fighting just for that boost, but the new sword is pretty powerful and got lots of weapon runes too. Good stuff

Literally your words, don't back down now.

"Backing down." This is not the thread for it, bud. Go throw around misused logical fallacies in threads that warrant that sort of seriousness. I'm just here to chat about a game I'm currently in love with.

You get a bit if you search near some wreckage that is brought up in a cutscene. And the interaction with Yen about her cemented some things for me.

Yeah seems to be a problem particularly in the swamp areas. I presume the terrain artists went over the land making it swamp like but somewhere along the line a hole got too deep but no way of jumping out.

What's the significance of the missions that play a little animated cutscene at the end? I've seen two so far, one at the very end of all the Family Matters missions which made sense since that was a really long chain of events, but I just got another after
visiting the godling and the dreamer woman living together in the "haunted" house
early on in Novigrad. That mission was really short and not very involved, not sure why it warranted the cutscene.

To be more precise,
you can find one of Triss' earrings near the bed that Yen chucks out the window after finding a red hair in it. The same bed that you shacked up with her in TW2.

Considering the likelyhood that somebody will post a video of that in the near future is close to zero can you tell me what happens? Do you directly interact with her?

Lol, I'll be sure to check out the "debate minor complaints with Witcher 3" thread when it opens.

I just asked not to be belittled. Haven't once misrepresented what you said. Also, I pointed out that fallacy in a text book usage.

I love the game too. Some parts need improvement. I don't enjoy being dismissed because I don't think the game is perfect.

They are supposed to be summaries of missions that can have multiple outcomes and far reaching consequences. It is a bit weird how that one gets it but other seemingly more important ones (like the Serial killer sidequest) don't get it.

True, but it might've been better not even giving the option then, just make it Geralt and Yen. As WanderingWind said there are even NPC's giving you shit about not picking Yen.

I'm trying to find a video now. It's nothing major, but it's a nice moment between
Geralt and Triss and then again with Geralt and Yenn dealing with the sort of aftermath. I think that part happens whether you find it or not.

See, this guy right here. Solving problems, not being a baby. What a witcher.

Gotta get my Witcher fix, even if it's just Gwent. Cleared about half of the players in Velen, then onto Novigrad, by then it should be Monday so I can move to Skellige and start questing \o/

For some odd reason, all the videos that come up with Triss+Witcher 3 are of the sex scene. Pages and pages of the sex scene.

So Skellige area is supposedly inspired by Scandinavian areas and viking mythos, but everyone talks like they are from Ireland. Keeps bugging me a lot because I know Scandinavians don't talk English like Skelligians do.

Edit: I wonder how many are disappointed that amount of sex scenes is scaled way back from what it was in W1 and W2.

I know of the
confrontation
since it's unavoidable but the former escaped me. I can't even find a mention of it in the guide.

I think I have a save near it. I'll try to get a video uploaded tomorrow. Too much effort now at 1130 pm. But you can google Triss + earring to see it mentioned in online guides. Can't find a video though. Again, it's just a bit of dialogue. Maybe 2 lines? Maybe somebody else has a video already up.

It would be appreciated as I don't wanna miss anything in the game. Part of the reason I'm so stressed out my Triss seems to be glitched as she's the only character that won't talk to me when
we arrive to the islands to start the sunstone mission

Ugh. Spawn trapped against a boss. You would think theyd let you spawn/auto save before the fight

Wait nvm. Game has two autosaves, one 2 minutes before. Whew.

Managed to take a cool screenshot of Geralt with the Fool's mask. Paid off to go to Novigrad and flirt with Triss first, otherwise I'd never have the mask in the first place <3

Yea she and
Dandelion won't speak to me either. I read he's supposed to update you on Priscilla.

I'm going sloooooowly, loving every bit of it despite some rough edges and certain disappointing design solutions [repopulation of cleared villages is so Ubisoft].
In White Orchard I've just defeat...

the Gryphon.
Some friends talked me about a crap fight, but i really enjoyed.
And ride with his head as trophy makes me feel lika a boss

There's not a lot of those events. They're nice little side attractions but they're not the meat of the game as in Ubi games.

Has anyone noticed the scream in the game (from regular folk in villages, cities etc) that's taken from command and conquer? or at least it sounds just like it.

Spoiler regarding a character from TW2: Goddamn,
did not expect to see Letho show up in such a side quest, was pretty interesting. I guess it's as a result of simulating my save where I let Letho go in TW2. Lol I killed those witnesses in his quest now in TW3 but at least I got him to go to Kaer Morhen. Was actually surprised just like Geralt was to stumble upon him.
