Ok, this game is becoming to be a big technical MESS. I just encountered a major bug, beware!

In Novigrad, I escaped a lvl 24 quest and can't Meditate since. This bug has been reported elsewhere so I'm not alone. So annoying

Just finished the game and can no longer mount Roach, game doesn't give the option, this may be a problem.

Anyone encountered this?

Just wanna tell you since I was also curious about it, the earring is there before
the Isle of Mists and still there after the battle at Kaer Morhen. Don't know about further in the story.

I've checked everywhere and can't find it.
my earliest save is after returning to novigrad. It probably is like 2 extra lines but I'd like to see what it is and everybody on youtube just has the sex scene. I'm also missing a piece of dialogue you're supposed to get after you arrive to do the sunstone quest since my triss is refusing to even initiate conversation

So, I've been going to every village, going into every house and looting shit. Even Oxenfurt.

Just got to Novigrad... fuck it.

if you found the bed, there is an examine prompt and you seem to have to be standing in just the right spot. There is no glowing indicator. The bed is near where the patched up/broken wall is to the left of the big doors if you can't find it. The only quest I've done is helping Ciri in Novigrad and I can still pick it up.

Yeah I gave up on that in Novigrad as well.
It was so hard walking past all those containers filled with items I all ready have too many of in my inventory and which yield barely any money at shops.

Stupid crones

if they showed the young version of themselves I'd instantly get on a 4 some.

habba habba tho

man every woman in this game is hot....except barons daughter

Everything looks the same to me haha not sure where exactly the place is but I'll keep looking as I'm not too far off from where you are in the save spot.

This particular bug has been annoying me. Has this happened to anyone else? Walk into an indoor area, and mini map fails to load the floorplan details. This drives me insane. Reloading my game fixed it for this area, but it could just as easily happen again in the next building I enter.

Here's a quick video of it. Possible spoilers for one of the contracts (white woman I think)

Yea it's only a few extra lines, you can give it to her after or during the
Philippa quest. Just a little bit of flirting.

RPS review is amazing, Richard Cobbett is The Man.

Looking back, The Witcher 3’s greatest strength and weakness is how easy it makes everything look. There are games that jump up and down, waving and screaming, desperate for you to notice how clever and brilliant they are, and then there’s The Witcher 3, as casual about it as its hero Geralt after killing some unstoppable monster. An open world with the narrative depth and fidelity of a linear game? Well, yes, it muses, sloping off to the pub. That is indeed quite a thing. A map that while full of little icons and collectibles, never feels like Dragon Age Inquisition’s awkward offline MMO or Assassin’s Creed’s pointless filler? Yes, yes, it yawns, reaching for a pint. ‘Aint no biggie, but thanks for noticing. Anyway, don’t you have the fate of entire kingdoms to reshape or something?

Time and time again I just had to stop and – in a good way – remind myself of just how good what I was playing actually is. Wild Hunt is so grounded, so good at world building, so subtle in its cleverness that after a while, it simply is. Never before, for instance, has there been an RPG so reactive, yet so content to hide the mechanics. There’re no icons next to dialogue options to tell you what’ll happen, no “Clementine will remember that” flag.

As elsewhere though, the real achievements are understated – a big one being the character animation. It doesn’t necessarily come across in a quick video or pic, but the facial animation during conversations, the choreography during both the biggest and the smallest scenes, the incidental details… they all add up. It’s not that CD Projekt is doing anything that other RPG developers couldn’t with all this, just that it almost never misses an opportunity to actually do it.

Yep. My favourite game of all time. It breaks my heart that I have that XP bug happening.

Would you mind uploading a video if you're able to? I found the
bed
but I can't find the item

edit: nvm found it. You really DO have to be in a very specific place to get the "examine" to work.

edit 2: nvm considering that my triss is still bugged and won't talk to me haha. Guess that's one more thing I gotta wait for.

Completed all the Barron's quests today. Interesting how it could have played out completely differently based on choices.

Will most likely by the expansion pass tommorrow or something. Game is goddamn good and CDPR has yet to let me down.

Sad to know that the next Witcher game won't come until a quite few years, at least sometime after Cyperpunk is out.

The Barons daughter is the worst NPC ive ever experienced in a game

She is the most
whiny, annoying brat

Wish you could kill her

Is there anyone in Velen who buys stuff for the price it says on your inventory? Or am I gonna have to keep running back and forward all the time?

Got the ending where
Ciri defeats the White Frost, lives and becomes a Witcher. I also forgot to assassinate Radovid so I'd like to know what happens if I had.

What are the other endings?

Edit: Also do we know if there will be another game?

there are different world states but if you want to discuss endings go to the spoiler thread.

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1043251

look through the last few pages where myself and others were discussing the endings.

And I'm now stuck with the XP bug. Lovely.

I can confirm that it's only for quests that take place in Novigrad and Velen. Unsure of which one triggers the bug, but I experienced it after completing 'Family Matters'. I grew tired of not getting any XP there and continued the story in Skellige for a change of scenery. To my surprise all the quests that I started there gave me full XP once I completed.

That reference to Telltale's style cuts right to what's remarkable about this game. When I played the Baron quest and realized after checking other people's spoilers here that there are tons of minor and major outcomes based on your decisions I was floored. In the context of the game they don't even bat an eye. CDPR completely avoids patting themselves on the back. They just give you YOUR story and leave it at that.

Amazing.

Yeah. Walking Dead wins GOTYs all around, but compared to this it's child's play (and I did love it btw). Even big decisions there like cutting a hand off or not are just faked anyway.

Without him all the Northern nations get beaten by Nilfgaard.

It still happens in Skellige too. That's when it hit me.

Can you guys answer some witcher 2 related questions please that happen in witcher 3 (I didn't complete the 2nd):

I just done the quest with Letho, why is Geralt on good terms with him? He killed 2 kings didn't he? I know he was under the nilfgaard emperors orders but still...

I chose the path of Lorveth in the beginning, what's the state of Roche and Geralts terms? How did I end between them in the second game?

Hmm, so either Northern nations get to continue being dicks, or Nilfgaard wins... Shitty choice either way. Think I would have preferred Nilfgaard winning either way.

not as shitty as you think considering
Nilfgaard takes over but allows the nations to basically keep doing their own shit. So the people don't give a fuck, they're happy war is over

Wow, that's very unfortunate. Sorry to hear that, man. Only adds to the frustration that XP given for quest is less generous on higher difficulties. I just can't believe that game also screws you over on giving significantly less XP if you tackle a quest that has a red skull over it (at least in my experience, not sure if others have experienced the same thing).

Weird, the xp bug seems to only affect certain quests. I did not get any experience from the last two main quests but I just completed a contract and got it. Wonder what's causing this.
