Oh, so that's the limit,
when you tell one of them you love her
. Really want to know for sure, to know where to save and see what changes when I go back (specially since I don't want to play another 50 hours just to get there again).

I've told you twice already.

get to Triss' Now or Never personal quest, don't start it. Go to the islands. Do the main story until you get Yen's 'The Last Wish' personal quest. Save the game. Now you can say yes to one girl and no to the other, and keep that save so you can do the opposite later

Fair warning that both occur in Act 1 of 3.

edit: nvm you saw my post haha

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.
what happens when you tell two different girls each madly in love with you that you love and want to be with them

find out in "witcher 3: how do relationships work"

Has anyone done the '
Path of Warriors
' (non-story related) sidequest? The jumping seems pretty much broken for me, I can't get Geralt to grab onto ledges at all, I couldn't in the first half of this quest and had to just essentially glitch my way past them using non-climbable geometry.

I've added a video of me trying to do this particular section: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bI1SfU1y1Ro (not sure why the video isn't entirely smooth, something up with shadowplay, I think, it was perfect in game, 100fps+, low consistent frametimes).

Hahaha, I just noticed I didn't need to climb up there to finish the objective - what an idiot I am.

That little boy in

is probably the best child voice actor i ever heard in a videogame. Such delivery. That whole part is a little magical.

Finished the tutorial area last night, so the main map has just opened up for me.

Really like the game, my one concern is I'm going to get bogged down running around after question marks on the map. Which might suck the fun out of it a bit. The combat is much better than TW2 which was my main problem with that game. Also it runs really well on my PC which barely meets the min specs, the question is do I play at 30fps with the graphics turned up or 60fps with them turned down a bit?

Oh, just saw your post. Thanks a lot! However
doing what I'm doing changes the ending? EDIT: I mean the kiss scene or the unicorn scene, or sex scenes, or whatever

To be 100% clear

What decides what lady you end up with is their personal quests and whether you end up with either of them in a relationship from their quest.

Yeah, I'm sorry for being so persistent, I don't want to do all of this again just because of one small misunderstanding. Thanks again!

It happens haha.

I'm getting a little annoyed how everybody just thinks they can kill Geralt. I mean, do they not recognize that watchers kill monsters for a living and you are betting your life against a professional?

Hell, (spoiler if you haven't beaten the game or gotten reeeeaaaly far)
Djkstra even has his moment where he wants to double cross everybody and kill you off for trying to stop him. Why on Earth would he expect 3 guards to do the job when he is a spy that knows plenty about your abilities?

After 70 hours of doing sidequests, Geralt just gets right to the point lol

Mid/late game stuff Djkstra related

It suggests in Djkstras bio that he expected Geralt to maintain Witcher neutrality in that instance, so it does give some explanation. Still a bit of a bone headed move. Not even that big a fan of Roche, but I couldn't let that happen

He just witnessed Geralt break neutrality to help kill a king. He should have known Geralt was likely to not turn his back on Roche when he and Geralt had history of helping each other. And what's worse, once he sees Geralt is going to get in the way, he shouldn't have ordered the kill. I think a better sequence should have been that Roche insists to kill Djkstra for betraying them, with Djkstra not ordering his men to kill Geralt, and you choose whether to let Roche kill Djkstra.

I mix Ursine chest and boots with Feline gauntlets and pants. Helps balance out the stamina drain.

This. Plus the feline sets give an attack bonus, over a defensive Ursine bonus. Get my looks from the Ursine jacket and functionality from everything else. I also really dig the feline gaunlets which go pretty well with the Ursine chest piece too. Boots and pants you barely notice

The moral and narrative complexity in this game makes what Bioware did with the Mass Effect series seem like child's play by comparison.
Too bad that's only really true for the first third of the game and a bunch of sidequests. I'm rapidly approaching the end of the game and the more "epic" it gets, the simpler it becomes and the more it feels like a BioWare game.
It feels like ages since I had to make a tough choice and the only times I get sorta stumped anymore is when a game presents me with a poorly summarized binary choice and I have to try to predict where each option leads to, sometimes on a timer for no good reason.

There is no such thing as witcher neutrality or a witcher code, and I think all of the major characters understand that Geralt only uses it as an excuse to uphold the public perception of his profession.

More Djkstra stuff

Agreed. Was just saying the game at least tried to tell you why he would do something so stupid. I think once Geralt chooses to get involved its too late anyway as well. Would have been nice if we got an option to break his leg again to teach him a lesson or something. Just an option where we didn't have to kill him off. That is, not at the expense of Roche and Ves.

But I concur. Was a bit of silly end to an interesting character who should have known better

I took a day off and came back to wrap it up. This game just keeps going, but I have a feeling I'm finally near the conclusion. The fight with
Imlerith was annoying, but I got his ass thanks to my trait that grants health when one reaches 0 (based on adrenaline). We both connected blows at the final moment, I won.

Didn't get the memo regarding the 14th Amendment
I was thinking that Gwent would be an obvious choice for a multiplayer component for Witcher BUT Gwenf itself would have to be retooled. It's probably extremely unbalanced, really easy to min/max, and cards right now are determined by where the player is in doing quests involving Gwent. CDPR might have to create a multiplayer version of Gwent with carefully included cards, new rule sets, and a new method of obtaining cards if they were to go this route. They also might have to balance some of the faction powers or make more cards where the faction can utilize it to realize the power (like Nilfgaard's game-winning tie).

Ughhh, I don't know if I should
give the crystal from Phillipa's hideout to Radovid or not...I don't trust him as far as I can throw him. Feel like there's more to her than is let on.

Hah! Is that so? I haven't read the books so I'm no where near up to speed on the lore. Think I might need to look into that.
Witcher neutrality is something that is mentioned a few times.

Started up deathmarch. Got through the prologue and beat the nobleman in gwent on my first try. Feels good. Are there any gwent cards in the prologue other than what the old woman sells?

Uggggh I need this in my life.

I have the enchanted griffin armor at level 17. Was supposed to go to Skellige 4 days ago but I've been so busy with Gwent and other side quest that I haven't had time @_@.

Enhanced :p

Hmmm . Seem to be in the minority but was a little disappointed with mastercrafted ursine. Nice but I liked the superior look better. Got my medieval Obiwan Kenobi on

Sounds like me; Enchanced Griffin armor, just hit level 18, should've gone to Skellige last week but I keep picking up new quests as I try to finish Novigrad off (and loving them).

I was going to don the Cat Armor, but it just isn't nearly as good as enhanced griffin even though they are the same level. Heavy sign intensity bonus, damage reduction from weapons, damage reduction from monsters, and extra sockets > a bit of attack power up on each piece. Enhanced Cat seems really good though.
