Arch Griffin
contract and got wrecked. I will have to go up a few levels before trying it again.

Oh man, really? I was hoping it would be an updated version of her costume from the second game, or any other design that covers up her chest. Bummer.

That was actually my last contract, and the last one I needed for the "Even Odds" trophy. Ended up having to fight it with no signs or potions which although difficult, made the fight a lot more fun.

foound an elven ruin near rogne in skellige..it's full of lv 31 ghosts that drops swords of the wild hunt and tir na lia potions...but ends in a walled door that i can't destroy or pass through..and the maps signal that the ruins continue behind it...is this part of a subquest and i should come back later?

Just finished my first run through the game.
Ciri becomes Empress; would that be the best ending? Sad she couldn't travel along with Geralt, but more good could certainly be done with her on the throne. And this world could definitely use more good. :/

I'm eager to start another game, want to get off to a better start with Gwent(missed out on the Baron's unique card) and balancing side missions along with the main, but...
  • I want to see most of this game's kinks ironed out. Would hate to run into another glitch that stops me from getting XP from big missions, or costs me nearly a 100k crowns again.
  • I need a nice long break away from the world of the Witcher. Been so engrossed with the game for the past month.

It's part of a Main Quest later on.

I'm pretty sure I've killed all the Arachas in the game now and not one of them, about half a dozen, dropped Arachas Venom. Guess I'm simply not getting to brew that decoction then? Oh well. It seems I will never be making the succubi and troll ones either.

Watch the alternate costume for Ciri be needlessly "sexy" too. Guess they still have that one employee that won't let that go...

Finally finished the grind for that utterly stupid Master Marksman trophy.

Now I just have to shoot through a Death March playthrough and the plat is mine!

So I finished the game a week ago and I've already started a new game, saying goodbye to White Orchard soon..

What other game is there like this? I want to play something else that is:

- pretty new
- with great graphics/presentation
- solid gameplay
- great world design

The world design and the attention to detail is what I love about this game. Just wandering around exploring the 3d world is so much fun.

What are some other big blockbusters lately that are also great games?


And some other thoughts: My game has gotten buggier with the last patch? Shouldn't patches do the opposite? Why is the game so easy and how can you make it harder in-game? I'm playing with just a shirt on at the moment and not the best weapons, which makes me have to utilize the bombs and potions a bit more, so that's something. Death March should be HARD. :/

The alt costume looks kinda elven, I guess.
I hope the wolf gear from the scavenger hunt will be more useful than the one from viper school gear scavenger hunt. I mean we are all thinking of an awesome armor set but it could very well be just 2 low or mid level swords.
It definitely wont be as expansive as the Feline/Bear/Griffin sets which had 4 tiers.

Triss outfit looks like it would only make any sense for the
A Matter of Life and Death
quest and horribly out of place in any other circumstance. Her hair is better but the neckline (if it even qualifies as that anymore) is completely unnecessary and unfortunate.

Wow, that alternative Triss outfit is quite ugly in my opinion. Count me in the camp that prefers an updated version of her Witcher 2 outfit.

D: I hope it's tiered like the others. If it's a single set of armor/swords, then it better match the Mastercrafted Witcher geaar.

Pity I've already gone past the triss part in the game. Bah!

I think the witcher 3 is going to make to scared to fall from any kind of height in games in the future.. I mean damn.

Haha, I remember discussing Triss' depiction with you earlier and how I thought they were conservative enough with her, but now it looks like CDPR really wanted to make your point.

Regular costumes are much better for both Yen and Triss imo. I'm excited for that Wolf gear even though I've got full Mastercrafted Cat that has every slot filled with a Greater Chernobog rune. I'm guessing there will be different tiers and aesthetic versions of it like the other schools, hopefully.

re: lady clothes, i really liked walking into
roche's camp and running into Ves who had decided the best way to be a soldier was to walk around without a breastplate with her blouse open showing everyone exactly where to stab her if need be. roche even calls her out on it later

btw, does yennifer remind anybody of miranda from mass effect hardcore, or is it just me? the black and white colour scheme doesn't help.

I assume there may be a book or something out there, but I just ended up finding the pieces myself without a quest popping. Or most of them...I may still have the boots left, I can't remember.

Sort of. Base tier always has documents that link to the other pieces in a roundabout way so you can stumble upon them by accident in any order and it'll lead you to another piece. Otherwise I think the "first" map of every set you can buy from blacksmiths/armourers will mark one of them down at the very least.

The upgrade tiers (parts 2-4) are map only and don't update when you collect the upgrade formula without the maps to guide you. You can still stumble on them, but you're more likely to physically hunt for each upgrade formula. You can usually buy the second to fourth maps from different blacksmith npcs.

Also on that subject, just curious but I know there's supposed to be markings of cat/bear/griffin school nearby, but is it just me or sometimes there aren't any for a few of them? I searched high and low for a few
there's an upgrade set - superior feline armour I think near the coast in a chest by pirates, I couldn't find the Witcher School carving nearby to indicate anything would be nearby without a map/quest marker.

I'd actually advice you go do everything before the ending because (not spoiling the ending)
once you finish the game it drops you back in before the ending except literally everyone you know is not on the map anymore. It's legit depressing looking for someone to talk to lol

Don't do this to yourself
