Anyone who kills that monster is a bad person who should feel bad.

But, yeah, I'd be very surprised if we don't get a couple more contracts in the free DLC. Paid expansions are guaranteed to have a bunch, but those are a ways off...

Like other
trolls, I just talk to him but this one attack me after our talk :/
Just a bug, I guess.

So how many of you decided to viciously crush Ciri's spirits in the snow
ball fight
?

I never go easy on anyone. I respect my friends so I bring my A-game. I want to push them to be the best. Ciri unfortunately sucks at snowball fights and will never make it in the major leagues but at least she knows that now and can focus on something else.

Everytime I go ride on Roach I get so frustrated. They need to sort him out. Keeps straying from a path when ever he decides to follow it. Also gets stuck in stuff and completely stops at times which is annoying especially when doing races.

Damn, that's horrible. I decided to
kill her outside the Fyke Island tower
and I regret it. I'm definitely gonna do a replay so please tell me there is a way to
keep her alive throughout the entire story
?

Yes you can.

Seems like the new patch came with new issues.

Sometimes my screen becomes super blury, then the loading icon appears for 3-10 seconds. Happens during cutscenes, combat and normal exploring.

I saw that a bit for the first time in 1.05 though not to the level of annoyance that you have (I get the blure on very rare occasions but never the loading screen).

How many times have you seen it since 1.06 came out? Because it's been a thing since release day, it just doesn't happen all that often.

Way to fail at Dad Simulator 2015!

For those of you hunting Gwent players in the game, this list helped me find my last merchant to play with to get my last random cards and the achievement. Just wanna share.

You were supposed to
cast Axii on him
, then he would have became friendly and let you peacefully resolve the matter.

If that's true it's kinda weird since
the troll's response led me to assume that it'll heed Geralt's warning and will not attack the humans again or else Geralt will "whack-whack" him or some such.

Never had it happen before 1.06
Played for an hour in my lunch break and it happened 4 or 5 times.

Will try again on my home pace later tonight.

What happened for me was
Axii to calm, talk, he tells you that he was just trying to chill in his cave home and they came and attacked him and he defended himself. Then they agree that he shouldn't do it again so Geralt doesn't have to come kill him. Conversation ends and the troll just stands around and plays his idle animations. Then the quest giver scolds you for being a coward. I wanted to kill him more than I wanted to kill the troll.

[...]But Triss is a red-head (gotta love red heads).... and IMO they made Triss look worse in this game than she did in W2. Her character model looks better in W2 for some reason I just can't quite see.

Same with Roche. He looked better in W2.
He did. Dude looks like a dog in this game.

Did it just yesterday, it was good.

I found it varied in terms of what you do. The constant banter was really well written. As it dawned on me why we they were doing what they were doing I felt really touched. The last location was awesome. Really amazing for me.

Ah,
Axii in the dialogue, I did exactly the same. It just that after the conversation ends the troll attack me. Weird. Maybe I double click the mouse or something after the dialogue is over?

I see the result is typical Witcher though. Just like the
Fool's Gold DLC
,
village idiot saves the whole village, and the villagers wants to beat him up for his troubles. Greedy fuckers.

Gwent finally clicked for me once I had a good enough deck. I drew 4 spy cards against a monster deck. I started by playing all my spy cards, prepare to lose the first round. The AI kept playing his cards drawing out a bullshit 124 score. I gladly pass.

Round 2 occurs. I have 13 cards. He has 3. He insta passes round 2. Round 3 he still manages to rack up 40+ score with 3 cards (fuck monster decks) but my full hand reached 84.

Sometimes the game feels like it cheats. I remember losing to the Baron at 1-1, he has 1 card left, 20 points behind, fucker plays a spy card, not too worried, its hard to get 20+ with a Northern Realms deck with 2 cards. Fucker draws frost card. Obliterates my entire front line.

Ever since wrapping up the Bloody Baron quest I have not been able to get back into this game. Went to Novigrad, did a side quest or two, one and half of the main quests and it hit me... By this point, I had already finished Witcher 2 and had a much richer experience.

Such an amazing track. It's funny how it's "locked" behind one tiny island and 20 seconds to wait until it's getting amazing and the fact that fights barely take longer than 20 seconds. Guess most people won't ever hear this and somer other great tracks. Such a shame.

Weird, the final hour of this quest line is absolutely breathtaking, especially because of this haunting track https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8J9HXcOxrs when having to face three such powerful enemies that fucking eat children.
And then seeing your Baron hanging from that tree like a Christmas bulb when you return to his place
.

And things are getting even crazier, sadder and funnier.

I loved the Baron quest. I'm saying nothing since it has grabbed me. I'm standing in Novigrad like 10 hours later wondering what the fuck am I doing here again? There seems to be huge lulls in terms of interesting stuff happening. I'll get back into it for sure, but I never lost interest for a moment in Witcher 2 during the two playthroughs I did.

Unless you get the shitty
"welp we're just gonna ride off and fix all of our problems lol, later geralt"
ending that ruins the punchline to the whole quest. :(

That's the ending I got and honestly I'm way more interested in
running into the Baron down the line than ever finding Ciri or Yen or whatever.

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.
The entire "Search for Ciri in Velen", comprised of everything with Keira and the Bloody Baron, is really probably one of the most thorough, twisted, satisfying, and gripping quest arcs ever penned to a role playing game. I love pretty much everything in the game, but nothing really comes together so comprehensively with politics, humanity, and dark magic quite like that. It's really something very special.

Yeah. The baron, the bog, the crones, Keira herself, Fyke Isle, Johnny and so on will remain the best part of the game.

The best fanservice bit is everything surrounding Battle for
Kaer Morhen
, IMO. From
getting drunk to bringing Ciri home to that walk through the keep with your full crew sharpening their weapons and greeting you along the way.
Not exactly touching writing, per se, but pretty charming and very fun.

That was the "second high" for me after everything in Velen. It felt like properly "coming home", everything coming together with a wonderful sense of comradery and friendship. Very "calm before the storm".
Drinking with your bros, Ciri returning and being overwhelmed, Triss bringing the firestorm smackdown as you and your bros ride back, everyone being totally overwhelmed by The Hunt in the end. The shot of you, Lambert, and Letho fancy pants swordfighting a group. Even Eskel squaring off against Caranthir looked so fucking cool.

For me personally the most emotional scenes I´ve ever seen in a videogame.

A few hours in and I truly loathe the health system on Death March. The amount of food I need to have in my inventory just to survive while I learn the game is absurd. Is there really no other way?

You can drink Swallow to regenerate health and then meditate to fill up your Swallow if you have some strong alcohol.

Not just you, it was beautiful.
For the saga readers, simply amazing.
During that quest they:
Spelled out Geralt's wish in the most simplistic, nonsensical way, even though it was always meant to remain ambiguous.
Had you cutting through a Djinn with a sword.
Let you rewrite the original short story with a poorly-worded dialogue choice.

Yep. Simply amazing.

So, Polish gaffers how do you actually pronounce Ciri? "See-ree" like in the game?

I have always thought that it was "kee-ree".
It's closer to Tsee-ree.
Polish "C" is a hard sound, equivalent to German "z" in "zeit."

Curious as to my overall progress, percentage-wise, since I'd really like to finish this game before Batman comes out next week, here's where I am...

Just opened up the Mist Isles Quest

Yeah, I get it for gameplay romance whatever game reasons but the wish itself only
draws them together. They've both slept with other people along the way and it isn't unreasonable to say they genuinely love each other by the time the game rolls around. The wish doesn't entail that at all.

It would have been super difficult to convey the sense of history between Yen and G
