I'm up for a James Gunn Tron 3, if only because he won't make the mistakes Tron Legacy did. Visually beautiful, but what a terrible direction to take it in. Didn't evolve the universe at all, and didn't follow up on any of what made Tron an interesting analog to computer tech and its place in the world. Limiting the action to an isolated server with no connection to the rest of the world was a massive error. The Tron 2.0 videogame did a much better job of updating the Tron idea into the modern day.

I kind of wish TRON would end up being the franchise they revisit every two decades so we'd be able to see the insane jumps in cinema technology between every entry.

Tron 2 is great at points, not as great during others. But holy shit the art direction in that movie.

The scene in the club is amazing.

I want another Tron game as well, that FPS was great.

Of course Tron will come back. The name has value and Disney has wads of cash. It might not be a big budget film that happens next but there will be more Tron.

No Kosinski = Don't care about this at all. I'm not in it for the plot or clever dialogue, I'm in it for the visuals.

It's possible he just came up with a great idea for Disney. James Gunn is a writer too. Maybe he'll write or co-write the new film. Kosinski did a great job visualizing the modern Tron world. No reason to take Gunn away from directing Guardians.

Gaurdians 3 won't be out for like 3-4 years and 2 is pretty much done.

Wo says he would even do GotG vol.3? Even Gunn himself said he was unsure about it, he made these two movies in a row. I wouldn't hold my breath for him doing GotG vol.3, unless the Guardians take a break and come back again in 6 years in their own movie.

This movie sure is beautiful, it's still my go to blu ray for testing blacks on displays and it looks godly on a OLED Panel, even a 1st gen PS Vita.

Not quite a new soundtrack but it echoes Legacy's melodies and it's worth a listen, it was arranged by Joseph Trapanese who worked with Daft Punk on Legacy and then went on to work with M83 for Oblivion which has an outstanding soundtrack as well.

No Tron movie had been great but it's the style and concept that makes it cool. I'm up for a sequel even if it takes 15 years.

When I got my OLED set last month one of the first things I did was watch the 3D BluRay. So, so good.

First 3D film I watched when I got my display.

I know people don't think the 3D is "strong enough," but it's a beautiful looking and sounding film.

Tron Legacy did so many things so amazingly right, but the story is rather meh at best. Still, it's visually absolutely amazing to watch and the soundtrack is one of the best of the last few years. I hope a third movie will happen, because I'd love to see how things can be improved.

I know they had faults, but I did love the Tron resurgence (legacy and uprising).

If they kept creating new directions for those worlds with a sequel that would have been dope.

Plus they had Cyllian Murphy as the son of the "MCP" =( . . .

PLEASE DISNEY. YOU ALREADY HAVE MARVEL AND STAR WARS, YOU CAN AFFORD TO MAKE DECENTLY PROFITABLE MOVIES.

But Tron Legacy made no sense. Were they going to export their army one soldier at a time? Great soundtrack and visuals but the story was garbage.

First movie was campy and fun, but dull at points.
Sequel was pretty but pretty hollow and with a bad plot.
We can only go so high from that.

I'll file this one under "I'll believe it when I'm sitting in the theater", but damn, I really want to see this happen.

Gunn would be fantastic, but I'd have no issue with Kosinski again. He crafted a beautifully shot film. Just get some work done on the script, and Daft Punk back of course.

Man I really hope this happens. I love Tron Legacy(despite the average story and shitty CGI Jeff Bridges).

That said, I'm only jumping in if Daft Punk is on board.

Watching Legacy again right now.... i REALLY cant think of a film that's so amazingly tuned from an audio/visual perspective.
Its STILL an amazing sensory experience :)

Also,film demands large display with the home theater cranked up LOOOUD
